What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Core aspects of the game is already implemented and we are now focusing on achieving that delicate game-play balance and adding late game content. This requires player feedback; not just one but many. Early Access is the perfect fit for this.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The honest answer here would be: As long as it takes to achieve that golden game-play balance. A rough ballpark of this duration would be between half a year to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Polish and volume.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Core aspects of the game is already implemented and we are focusing on achieving that delicate game-play balance and adding late game content. At the time of the release, it should have four fully functional levels out of the planned twelve. Subsequent patches will follow to add unique levels and content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will stay fixed during Early Access, but will definitely be priced higher upon full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We've learned over the years that community feedback is much faster and often more accurate when it comes to balancing and bug fixing. We've also learned that community involvement gives birth to many great ideas. We are open to listening to our community at anytime.”

0.2 Build and News! (Update)

UPDATE: I am pushing the update back to Wednesday - the QA results were not not the best...XD I will have to investigate a bit more :D I will keep everyone updated as usual as fast as I can. Thanks!

I am making this announce to let everyone know that 0.2 is expected to arrive between Sat~Sun this week. And just like any other time, this date is tentative. From the looks of it, I am quite confident about the current status, so unless new things pop up unexpectedly, I think it is safe to confirm the date.

This is one of the new guests - rogue/hunter

Level 5 will be about running the tavern at an old abandoned underground dungeon and we will be moving away from Lord Peter (hahahaha) to some new authority :D

Restroom Issue
I am noticing that restroom queue issue is still cropping up but it turns out that some people were using the old save file which made me hunt for issues that did not exist (version compatibility is not supported). I've lost a day trying to figure this out...but hey welcome to game development :D

Regardless, I am going to run another pass of tests to make sure.

Start-up Issue
I've had numerous reports of the game getting stuck at launch after an update. It's happening - I am not 100% sure yet - due to the game failing to read/write configuration data. This is easily resolved by deleting all .dat files inside the game directory. The new upcoming 0.2 build has a built in cleaner to remove non-compatible or failed read/write .dat files to prevent this so this shouldn't be an issue after the update.

Leave a review
This is kind of corny....but please leave a Steam review if you can spare a few minutes :D it helps the developement process as well.

Just don't be a troll :D :D :D

Report bugs via Forum
I say this every announcement, but please leave bug reports at the forum. It makes my life easier, and yours as well (we can actually start a conversation there XD) I read almost all forum threads so please use the system :D

Lastly, stop asking for brothels...XD Please :D :D :D

About This Game

By word, by book, the tales of the brave and mighty are told in reverie. Every warrior is remembered, his stories spreading like a magician’s flame. But, what happens after the story? Where does the hero go after slaying the dragon, rescuing the damsel and freeing the people from an untold terror? No one really knows what happens to the old and retired soldiers. They listen of course, to the very far fetched stories that are passed down from mouth to mouth. Where? In the very taverns that are bustling with legends and the young at heart.

After years of roaming free, slaying evil and merrymaking in halls of drink, everyone takes an arrow to the knee. They have obligations and duties but most of all, the retired life is boring and redundant. They miss the dangers and wish they were young again. What better way to relive the life than to run a tavern? Travellers and adventurers from all kingdoms, far and wide come aspiring for fame and glory. They tell tales of their adventures, transforming cotton tails to horrendous beasts, morphing storms to witchery! All the danger relived in safety because at the end of the day, the warmth still burns in the fireplace.

Your job is to run the tavern - Dragon's Hangover. Some will seek drinks and food while some might seek the warmth of a bed. Manage your tavern and be the host that all adventurers admire. Your journey, as the tavern's keep, begins now.
