What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“It's simple, we need to hear your feedback! Shadow of Nebula is still in heavy development but we've already finished working on the first big part of it. The current version of the initial chapter of the story is in a state we believe is ready for you to play through. Even though we're still working on loads of new content that will be available soon within the upcoming update, it's important to us to gather your opinions and improve the title even more. All in all we've decided to go with Early Access to be able to provide the best possible gaming experience!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're currently planning on releasing the game by the end of 2016. It's a quite big project however so even if we're bound to move the date because of the changes needed to be applied it won't be any further than the beginning of 2017.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of Shadow of Nebula will have much longer and more in-depth story than what it does in its current state. The player will meet many more characters and there will be plenty of variety added to the game including a whole underwater world area or even an old abandoned space station. Since the story's influenced heavily by cyberpunk culture and sci-fi you can expect it to affect the main protagonist and settings present within the game alike. We'd like you to treat Early Access version of our game as a pilot to a series of incredible and fulfilling adventures present in the final product.

Naturally, the game will also feature more original music tracks, cinematic and most of all Steam achievements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“On average completing the available Early Access part of the game will require approximately between 4 and 5 hours of game play. All the time and work put in the game lead us to believe that the current content is rock-solid and the game itself is practically bug free. The complete title will obviously take much longer to complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game after final release will be higher than during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're currently looking for all kinds of feedback, be it by e-mail or through our Shadow of Nebula forums. We're gamers ourselves and we're trying to make a game for people like us so we're taking all ideas and suggestions under consideration - big and small. Together we can make the best adventure game!”

About This Game

Shadow Of Nebula is a futuristic adventure game set in space. The world of Nebula is heavily influenced by science fiction and cyberpunk genres. The game itself tells a story of a mysterious Star Courier.

After forced and sudden landing on an abandoned planet, the hero must fight for his life and find his way home. Along the way he discovers that his presence on the planet wasn't just an accident, and that he's somehow involved in a larger than life intrigue threatening all humanity. The protagonist will have to face many obstacles and solve numerous puzzles to unravel the intrigue... But will it be enough to solve the mystery?

Story

The Year is 3102. After the centuries of progress and technological advancements humanity has reached for the stars and spread through out the entire known galaxy. The Galactic Government - political organization overlooking the humanity - found such a large and wide spread population difficult to control. They wanted a better way, a better system to influence and control people more directly...

In the same time in the furthest corners of the Milky Way a scientific expedition was lost on its way home. They found something odd and unusual but most importantly unexpected. Something that was not made by humans - a technology out of our known World. It was a root-shaped organic behemoth of an alien ship. Aliens who no doubt lived on it before were long dead or gone. The ship hanged in space waiting for its moment in time. The moment that was about to come...

One man however managed to decipher a large part of the technology left behind by aliens, the genius Alfred Nebula. The advancements gained from it allowed him to develop specialized nanobots that not only knew the human body perfectly and could heal all know diseases but could also affect its mood and thoughts. After realizing how powerful and dangerous his inventions were, Alfred scrapped the results of his studies and all the prototypes of nanobots along with it. Unfortunately, he did not destroy everything...

Since then thirty years have passed... And the turning point in the history of humanity is closer than ever! Our hero, a stalwart Space Courier, luckily managed to fight off murderous space pirates and emergency land on seemingly abandoned planet - Ventra Blue. Even though initially he only planed on repairing his ship and leaving as soon as it would be possible, he found himself involved with what he discovered on Ventra Blue and realized that he's one of the main and most important puzzles in the galactic events that were about to unravel and change the future of the whole human race. Against all odds he took upon himself to solve the vast intrigue and along the way he has changed as well...

When I was a kid I liked playing titles like Monkey Island, all Sierra Games (Police Quest, Kings Quest, Leisure Suit Larry etc.). I stopped playing for many years, couldn't find good game for me, until now. This game brings back my memories and remind me my childhood. Beautiful art, a lot of very intelligent puzzels to solve, good music and addictive gameplay. Couldn't stop when started.
Good work guys! Waiting for more!!! Hope You will not finish on this title. I'd like to see more advanture games from Your studio when I will finish with this one!

Shadow of Nebula is Bisonia’s Steam Early Access point & click adventure game. It’s a game that has me very excited for its future. I haven’t really played an old school style point and click adventure that left me in awe for a very long time so to see this game having this effect on me is more than a little surprising. I honestly believe that this game, if development goes according to plan, make it onto our Steamified Select and then Steamified Countdown after its release. I’m a huge fan and thoroughly impressed.

Thus far there is about three to four hours worth of content here. The most important standard features of a point and click adventure game are very well represented here. The puzzles are logical and extremely well designed. The story itself is so far fascinating although I feel that I am not deep enough into it yet for it to even start pulling all of it together. The dialogue between characters as well as that between the game (main character) and the player is above average. The art work and the sound are strong enough to aide the immersion process. It’s just a very well rounded product. And that’s without ever considering the intelligent innovation that is, for me, the absolute highlight feature of Shadow of Nebula.

Intelligent innovation in adventure games, especially point & click adventure games, do not come around often. When they do the game captures my attention. I believe that is what Bisonia have absolutely accomplished with what they are billing as their CyberSpace parallel world game. Early on in the game you get to create the pieces of a CyberSpace scanner. With this scanner you can scan the various people that you meet. The people that you meet early in the game have all had their real life brains scrambled. They have become mentally handicapped due to overdosing on drugs. However, a miracle happens when you successfully complete the scanning mini game. You enter your portal and visit their scanned address. You are able to speak with them through CyberSpace. Imagine if someone was brain dead in reality and you were able to speak to them as if everything was normal in a physical Internet chatroom. That’s what the CyberSpace parallel world game allows you to do. Not only is it innovative but it’s a fantastic feature that really allows the game to push through important story elements.

It’s this feature and the way in which everything demonstrates that this is a passion project by gamers for gamers that has me thoroughly impressed at this stage of development. At $4.99 Shadow of Nebula is an outright steal. When all of the content is added you’re going to be thankful for purchasing it during early access and if not then sorry that you missed out at this price point.

Looks cool, music suites the atmosphere, there even some pixel-hunting,story feels intrigue.
There are some glitchy lines on loading screen, also encrypted key looks too blury...well nothing critical.
Always glad to see new sky-fi quest.
