Miksi Early Access?

In this initial release of vrAMP, there is a lot to do! We would like to implement more features before our full launch. We would appreciate community feedback every step of the way.

We take our goal of creating the best VR music experience seriously, and it's going to be an awesome ride for everyone!

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We are expecting to have the first full release by Christmas 2016.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

Currently, the Early Access version has the core features implemented. Through feedback we plan to refine the user interface, controls, beat algorithm, and other basic features.

Our plans for the future...

  • Ability to browse and play your local files in vrAMP

  • User customization of some visualizations
    We would like to add the ability for you to set the colors of particles or other effects that surround you, in addition to our current smoke and particle intensity customization.

  • Destinations/different scenes to experience your music in
    A more long-term goal is the addition of different rooms and scenes to walk (dance!) around in, or more relaxing environments for seated sessions.

  • Glowsticks!
    Dance like no one is watching!

It has a built-in library of hours of music (almost 1GB!).

You can pause the music and play your own in any program on your computer, including the Steam in-game web browser.

vrAMP is an awesome music visualizer with a beat algorithm that we continue to iterate and improve upon.

We will work with the community of virtual reality enthusiasts to drive the process for this game beyond our initial plans. Feature requests, suggestions, and bug reports will be a large part of vrAMP as development progresses.

vrAMP is the definitive music visualizer and player for virtual reality.


No need to move your music into yet another media player, vrAMP plays music from any program or web browser. You can even use the in-game Steam web-browser to play music. Simply pause the included catalog of music and begin playing your own.

Future Updates:

  • Musical Painting (currently available in beta)
  • Browse your own music collection from inside vrAMP
  • New destinations to feel and experience your music
  • Added visualization effects

Controls:

  • Center - Play/Stop
  • Left - Previous song
  • Right - Next song
  • Down - Toggles effect transitions
    By default vrAMP will transition itself with changes to the music. You can press Down to freeze the transitions and keep the effect, pressing it again will resume default behavior.

Notes:

Make sure you have your default playback device (in Windows audio settings) set to the HTC Vive / Oculus Rift.
