Fly, Die, Retry. Don’t be fooled by the game’s crazy title and pretty looks. It’s a challenging 2D arcade game where you play as a mechanical bird traversing a hostile Steampunk world. Prepare to die a lot on barbed wire, spikes, and sawblades. Your only means of survival is your ability to teleport!

Serial Cleaner now on Early Access!

Hi there!

Our new game called Serial Cleaner is now on Early Access!

It’s a story-driven, fast-paced stealth/action game, characterized by a 1970’s theme and aesthetics, in which the player needs to figure out how to pick the location clean of evidence, while not getting caught. The protagonist is a professional cleaner, which means he takes care of cleaning up murder scenes by disposing bodies, covering up blood stains and hiding murder weapons and other incriminating evidence.

You can see Early Access trailer below

Serial Cleaner takes a humoristic, slightly macabre approach to its subject matter, and doesn't treat itself too seriously. Just take a look at the protagonist. He is a 30-ish man with a sharp sense of style and an iconic 70s look, complete with a mustache, large sunglasses, and tight pants.

We hope you will enjoy it!

About This Game

Teleport yourself into the most hardcore game this fall. Try to imagine a game simple in its basics, but demanding from the very first level, where everything might kill you. Even the camera and the main protagonist are against you as both of them constantly move forward. Add some barbed wire, spikes, and sawblades and you'll get Red Game Without a Great Name. And in this game you will die a lot.

You control a mechanical bird that serves as a messenger in a hostile, steampunk world. To get the letter from one cage to another you have to maneuver the bird between all the obstacles. However, you don’t directly control the main hero. The bird moves at its own pace, as does the camera. The trick is you can only order the bird to teleport from one point to another by clicking on it and draging to mark its destination.

Don’t worry about frustrations though (not too much at least), you won’t notice loading screens between the restarts, and the swinging music, as well as the one-more-try syndrome will keep you playing until you complete all of the 60 cleverly designed levels. There are three different power-ups to help you out in your mailman duties, but beware, they may work as double-edged swords if used without caution.

Key Features

  • Simple to grasp, hard to master game mechanic – click & drag to teleport
  • 60 difficult levels
  • 180 gears to collect
  • 3 power-ups to enhance your abilities.
  • Unique art style dominated by red
  • One more attempt syndrome
  • Swinging music

Played the hell out of it on my phone, having fun with PC version too. It's entertaining, looks and sounds nice, gets difficult really quick. So if you're in for a challenge - just grab it, it's well worth the price.

Pre-Release Review

Review based on ~1 hour of gameplay.

I just got it, and I'm enjoying this game quite a lot!
It has some nice looking, minimalist art style and a catchy swinging soundtrack, which pleases my senses while playing - that's a big plus. It's rarely seen that a small indie studio puts so much attention to the audio of the game. I also like the thematic approach to the visuals - Red (but not only!) gives the game a sense of uniqueness (think Limbo).

The idea behind Red Game is simple - you control a teleporting bird that has to reach the end of the level while gathering gears and avoiding traps. Simple, yet not that easy, as you have to click on the bird and drag the mouse to create a path for the bird to teleport. This mechanic made the game much more demanding on the reflex and accuracy side of the player's skillset. Nice!

The levels are short and there are no loading screens between restarts. Oh yeah, restarts - apparently dying is a highlighted thing here. The game counts your deaths on each of the levels and believe me you will die a lot (post level 8 or so).

All in all it's a great piece of code and I can recommend this game to whoever likes some arcade gaming!

This game crashes instantly upon startup for me despite tinkering with all graphics settings. The creators seemingly haven't addressed the issue since December and have only attempted fixing by adding the graphics options, which again did nothing to help. It may be fixed eventually, but for now it's useless to those who can't launch it, and it's poor of the creators to not treat this as a larger issue.

When I first started, I thought the game was bugged because I couldn't make the bird warp, no matter how much I clicked and dragged the mouse around the screen. I tried finding some sort of options menu for the controls, but there was nothing to let me know what I was doing wrong. I eventually figured it out and it turns on you have to start every warp by clicking and holding on the actual bird.

I don't really like the idea that I have to rapidly and continuously move the cursor back to the exact same spot where the bird is every time I want to move him around, especially since the camera is living its own life and the bird doesn't stay in the center, but I suppose the game would be incredibly easy otherwise, since that's the only challenge there is to the game.

That's all I can say about the gameplay really, because that's more or less all there is to it.

The scenery looked good on the video and I like the way it looks, but once I got ingame it all appeared increadibly low-res. The music is okay, but there doesn't seem to be any overall theme, it's just random tracks playing on each level.

Personally, I refunded the game and In the end I think I'll just go back and play a couple of rounds in Super meat boy.

If you'd rather be certain you can actually launch this game without it insta-crashing (regardless of settings), don't purchase this game on Steam until they properly address the issue, fix the damn problem and start replying to support enquiries.

Potential waste of 5 bucks and time.

I like it. Not a super deep game, but it's visually and audibly pleasing, and what's more important, makes me wanna get back to it every now and then.

It's best suited for short sitings, like during a coffee break at work, when you are witing for program to finish calculating/rendering or simply when you have just few minutes to spare and you wanna do something else than looking at facebook for the n-th time. I'm playing it for over an hour now, and I finished 23 out of 60 levels. The levels get harder and harder, so I guess it will get me entertained for at least few more.

The only this that annoys me a little is collision detection. Sometimes the game will break/disable the teleport dashed line just before you release the button. Sometimes, event tho you clearly have the cursor in the right spot, the bird teleports on the wrong side of the obstacle, resulting in an instant death you can't do anything about. Also, to get a star or a power up, you need to literary fly through it with birds whole body or you not gonna get it, but you will die instantly if any of the obstackles/hazards just farts in your general direction...

Is it annoying? Yes. Is it actually a problem? Not really. All those things got to me just on rare occasons or on specified levels. It's not as bad as I might have painted it. Most of the time the game is just hard, and you have only yourself to blame.

And the main question: is it worth it? I think yes. Especially if you are looing for something cheap, good looking, that you can get in and out fast.

Key provided by developer/publisher. This does not effect my review.
A very challenging 2D game where your goal is to deliver mail while traversing landscapes filled with traps. Fun, difficult, and easy to pick up and play. Has a few minor problems with controls and mechanics. At a $5 price tag, you should check this game out.

Well... Since the game updated, so does the review! With the new update I can actually see the title screen, and with it the rest of the game. The soundtrack is enjoyable, the gameplay is simple and quite fun. Good little puzzle style game, especially for the price.

You perpetually fly forward in a straight line clicking and dragging to teleport around past obstacles and to change height while trying to collect 3 objects in each level. I haven't made it terribly far yet, but it's already ramping up at a decent pace with the difficulty. Worth checking out.

A 2D Arcade Game
+ Unique gameplay mechanics. Essentially you can teleport the bird to any open area on the screen, however the bird is continuously flying on it's own and the level continues to scroll. You try to avoid running into obstacles or falling off the screen.
+ Great minimalist art style. The mix of the black foreground with the red, orange, and purple colors in the background is very visually pleasing. Every level is also surprisingly detailed and creatively designed
+ Nice upbeat soundtrack
+ Challenging, but not overly so. It's quite easy to find your mistakes and correct them

It actually has a great name, not bad. Anyways, it's a cute little game with pretty visuals, it's that kind of rinse of repeat gameplay that you'll have to die again and again till you memorize the patterns and understand how to avoid the death traps, it can get boring after a while, unless you play it on occasions everynow and then.
