What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early access is the best way to interface with our community at an early stage of development for feedback. It's naive to think we could make a better game without community input!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This is our first game. We don't know exactly how long we will be in early access. We think it will be around 6 months, but that's uncertain. Whatever the case, we will keep in touch with the community each step of the way so there aren't too many surprises.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to officially be out of early access when all 5 zones are completed.

Each zone will feature several levels, things to earn, lots of spooky enemies to fight, bosses, cool environment art, and nifty sound tracks.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access version of The Last Sunshine features the first zone. Players will be able to progress through these levels, earn skills, customize Sol on the Passive Tree, and fight through a variety of enemies. There's also some replay value in trying different builds.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep a lower price for the game while in early access. When the game officially releases, we will increase the price, but it will not affect people who have purchased the game during early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback is critical for us. We are new developers and we're making a game inspired by the timeless shmup genre. Controls have to be tight, skills have to be fun, and enemies have to be cool.

We are gamers in every sense of the word, so we know the value of community feedback. Help us make a super-duper cool game!”

About This Game

Play as Sol in an impossible journey against the blackness that devours and corrupts the children of the heavens. The stars are falling and a consuming darkness encroaches. Customize your skills, passives, and attempt to defeat droves of enemies that come from the void. Will Sol be able to illuminate his path to victory?

The Demo is not currently a sample of Early Access but rather the Alpha Build, intended to give you a taste of the game's pacing, mood, and difficulty.
