Fitness Dash is a fun, time management game where you take on the role of Jo, who opens a gym after her fellow teammates lose the annual tug-of-war competition. Jo vows to get her teammates in shape so that they won't lose next year. That's basically the gist of the story, as the gameplay is the main focus here.

On to gameplay, you control Jo as you direct various customers to workout machines, depending on their exercise preferences (basically, some will prefer cardio while others will prefer building muscle and others might want both). The customers may have other needs while they're working out such as wanting orange juice or needing the TV channel changed, etc. That's what most of the levels are like. At the beginning of each level, with the money you earn from the previous level, you can use it to purchase new machines, upgrade existing ones, etc. There are a total of 5 different locations and at the final level of each location, Jo's team will have to compete against a rival team in tug-of-war. Now these levels are different. Basically, what you have to do is match color blocks in groups of four or more and then eliminate them. Do so enough and the other team will lose. It sound simple but especially on more difficult levels, this can be extremely challenging.

As to my review of the game, I liked it and thought that it was challenging. Fitness Dash is in the world of Diner Dash, a very popular time management series that I like. The art is cute and the gameplay is fun. The difficulty level felt right to me but this game is definitely not for novices of time management games. The only criticism I'd like to make is in regards to the in-game achievements. Although I did earn most of the achievements, there was one I could not earn and I believe that it's bugged. (For anyone who's curious, it's an achievement where you can buy all the equipment, decorations, etc., for every location although it isn't possible for two of these locations, even if you get expert on all the levels.) However, as it isn't a Steam achievement, it didn't bother me too much although I found it a minor annoyance. Unfortunately, because the publisher has since decided to focus on mobile games, there will probably never be a fix to this bug.

Other than the one problem I noted, I did enjoy this game and I would recommend it if you're looking for a fun, challenging time management game. It'll definitely take at least a few hours to finish, depending on how proficient you're at with these kinds of games. XD (Oh and I forgot to mention but there are two game modes: story mode and endless mode. I played only story mode but you can play endless mode if you'd like even more of a challenge and find out how many customers you can help out before the game ends.)

I like time management games and I like Diner Dash a lot. This one is similar, but I find it more challenging. I give it a thumbs up.

Like all DASH games, the formula is the same but the toppings are different. If you like these kinds of games then this one is a no-brainer! Best for fitness buffs!

Don't let the cutesy cover fool you, fitness dash is game with unparalleled depth in the RPG / Sim / fitness genre. The bulk of the challenge comes from watching your fat American customers shed pounds on the treadmill, while cleaning up their dirty towels and getting them more water. This takes a lot of skill and is no easy feat, believe me.

I cannot praise this game enough, it will forever be a classic in gaming history.
