NEW RELEASE! Meet Padrya + F2P upon Valve approval!

Greetings Everyone!

Thank you for your patience. I'm sure many of you were wondering if Devcon and I had been eaten by giant snog beasts, but NO...what is a giant snog beast? Well, that is a tale for another time.

What's more important is that we are proud to release our newest hero, Padrya!

You can feast your eyes on her here:

Fun facts about Padrya:

1) She's voiced by Tim Schafer's sister, the fabulous, lovely and artistic Ginny Wescott!

2) She's our very first control based hero, with lots of interesting ways to confuse and deny opponents. She likely will need tuning so please give us lots of feedback!

3) As a joke, the artists started calling her skins by various salad names aaaaaaaaaaaand it kind of stuck, so you can earn her "Caesar" skin with shards.

Here are some other updates in this release:

  • Pending approval from Valve we will be FTP - As a thanks, we have reserved the Lunar Guardian Ki skin for anyone who purchased the game premium. This skin will no longer be in circulation on steam once we go Free to Play and will be reserved for our early access premium folks only.
  • Two New Auras - Beserker & Earth's Blessing.
  • New spell icons when mana globes fill.
  • New Premium skins.
  • DLC - please help support the team to keep making new content!
  • Screen size and resolution issues have been fixed.

Issues in progress:

  • Blackscreen after purchases - if you experience a black screen, just go back and please send details to
  • Freeze on victory screen - Occassionally when a player leaves quickly post victory, the game may freeze. This is our focus for this upcoming week.
  • ghost text in black background when game is in Window mode.

About This Game

Force of Elements is the game of head-to-head combat where your field of battle is a match 3 gem board. Choose a unique hero, swap gems to unlock elemental mana and annihilate your opponent in fast-paced battles that will leave you hungry for one more round.

Less candy, More CRUSH.

Force of Elements is designed from the ground up for competitive gaming with diverse character-based abilities that make interacting with the gem board a tactical experience unlike any match 3 game you’ve played before. Anyone can learn to play in minutes. Mastering your favorite heroes and outwitting opponents in real-time battles will keep you playing and streaming for years to come.

Key Features:

  • Two ways to play; rapid-fire TIMED mode and tactical TURNS mode
  • Customize your play style with powerful AURAS
  • NEW HEROES released regularly

Unleash the POWER of the ELEMENTS!

In the realm of Acharos, power derives from the five elements. Each Hero has an affinity with their chosen element, but skillful players can tap into all five by creating power gems.

  • Fire: Incinerate your enemies with primordial energy. Fire is the element of chaos and destruction.
  • Air: Masters of Air can manipulate time itself, extending their turns for bigger combos. Knowledge and control are attributes of Air.
  • Water: The most protean element, Water is all about transformation. Water heroes manipulate the gem board to their advantage.
  • Earth: Call on the forces of nature to outlast your opponent. Earth abilities emphasize strength and renewal.
  • Void: The essence of emptiness, Void is a dangerous element to embrace. Void abilities allow heroes to curse, cripple and drain their opponents…often at a price.

System Requirements

    • OS: Windows 7/8/10
    • Processor: 2 GHz
    • Memory: 1 GB RAM

So far, I have to say that I am incredibly impressed.

I waited anxiously for the game to release, and I was happy to see all the positive reviews. I'm also happy to add my own extremely positive review to the game.

I initially started playing as Ki, due in part to the skin and the fact that she was the first character I got to play as. Started messing around with the 5 turn games, and got my ♥♥♥ handed to me by everyone else. I thought that it surely had to be the character. Unlocked 1 or 2 other characters, and tried them as well. Still got my ♥♥♥ handed to me. Then, I decided to try the Trials. Went back to Ki.

First 4 fights were easy, and then the last 1 took me 3 or 4 tries. And that's when the magic happened. Instead of actively trying to make random matches, I started playing to the strengths of Ki's abilities. And lo and behold: it worked!

Unlocked a few auras, messed around a bit, got 1 I liked up to level 2, and practiced a bit more in Trial mode and that 5 turn mode. What a blast! Moved on to Ranked matches, and managed to get up to Silver Rank 1, with a win streak of about 7 or 8 matches, I think.

With the initial 500 Gem allotment, and the fact that the game is liberal in giving you these Gems for victories, and even a few for defeats, unlocking the Auras and Skins doesn't require godlike skill, just some perseverance. And perseverance is always made easier if the game is fun, which it sure as hell is! I've seen no bugs or crashes, and the artwork in the game is beautiful on all characters.

A special mention to the community so far, as well. Every opponent I've played against so far, has been gracious in defeat, and humble in victory.

The game has a solid base for what it is, and can easily be transformed into a massively engrossing affair. An absolute steal at the current price, and worth it if you enjoy the Match-3 gameplay style. Wicked Fun: you really live up to your name with this one so far! Keep it up!

I have been playing this game when it was just on the browser and even at pax south 2015 and have loved and enjoyed it the entire time. It is a very well thought out game with amazing visuals and sounds to help bring you into the heated moments of battle, whether it be with a friend a rival a random or even a bot the game is enjoyable.

So far, this game has been really fun, it looks good and the music is on point. When you hit a combo, it feels very satisfying because of the sound and visual effects. I cant wait to see what the ranked matches are like, they are probably going to be pretty intense.

Keep Coming Back For More
A very enjoyable Match-3 game with single-player and verus modes, Force Of Elements is addictive. Some people compare it--for better or worse--to a mélange of Candy Crush and Bejeweled. I honestly can't say because all Match-3 games are so similiar it's impossible to determine who's impersonating whom.

So what does Force of Elements have going for it?
  • It's free. Which is perfectly awesome.
  • Pretty accurate and speedy matching system in versus mode
  • Ability to challenge friends
  • Leveling up with various characters and auras provides a sense of overall progression
  • Decent music and voice-acting
  • A committed development team

Give it a shot! It's an enjoyable way to pass 5-, 10-, or 300-minutes!

A game I'm finally good at, and still manage to get my butt kicked over and over.

Very good game, lovely sound track, punny jokes, and very colorful.

Just started the game and I could feel the addiction rising.

Edit: If you're color blind or get tripped out easy then by all means enjoy. >:3

A fun and well supported puzzle fighter. The characters are varied and there is sure to be one you'll gravitate towards. The gem system (game currency) is well balanced and it's easy to unlock new auras (power ups) and characters in the beginning but becomes suitably harder later on.
The Dev's were initally very active adding new characters/skins/features regularily making me check back every week to see what was new, sadly they seem to have dissapeared.

I played previously on web (a lot!), before it came to Steam. Great, competitive, multiplayer match3 game. Amazing art! Lots of different characters, each with unique art, sounds and combat moves. Game is responsive, user friendly, and gives you a lot of fun playing with different people! Play on!

It seems like a great game with potential... However, when I saw the 'multiplayer' feature, I didn't expect to be playing against the games server of bots who know what appears to be exactly what will appear on the board before it even drops.
I could understand it if I was super high level, but I only just started playing and it was my first multiplayer match against players that don't exist.

Dishonest gaming at it's finest.

While the game itself is fantastic, probably the best match-3-puzzle game on the market, and it's free, right now playerbase is non-existent as it seems, and you constantly get paired with bots in multiplayer. Took me 3 hours to realize that. Why so much? Cause devs are naming bots with fake names, like MERAJ8, B.DIZZLE, etc. I searched all the names from players I played against on Steam, and I didn't even find match for every name, and for names that I did, not even one of them was playing this game. I mean wtf. Fantastic game, but scamming people like this? Till the playerbase gets bigger and until devs don't stop with this "naming thing" I am gonna keep this negative review posted.

It's all bots. Especially at higher levels. Is fun to pass the time at first. Then as you level up they all become bots. In a 5 move turn where you have like a minute to make your moves the opponent make 5 mind blowing moves in less than 10 seconds. It only takes them 10 seconds because their moves are so fantastic it clears a third the board and they wait for all the wreackage they are doing you. I have put in quite a few hours and have a decent library on steam. I think this is my first review. That is how insanely unfair it becomes all at once. Don't do it, or if you do be prepared top play for awhile and quit in digust. I like the concept and art.

Force of Elements is a free to play Early Access PVP battle game using match 3 board. It worked, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. This is multiplayer PVP with 5 moves per your turn, and 4 powers to charge and use against the opponent. Ranked is 10 second turns with no move limit. Has a chat room, voice emotes for your hero, steam achievements and tutorial. Has 8 heroes, you can start with 2. Try it, you might like it.

I LOVE this game! Let's start off with a pros and cons list.

-Great voice acting
-Incredibly fun, even if you rage too much or aren't so good at Match-3 games (cough, talking about myself, cough).
-You get rewards everyday for playing the game (and good rewards at that!)
-It's free! Completely! No pay-to-win gimmicks here, but they should make a money for currency shop. Just a suggestion.
-The music is AWESOME! It's like Undertale all over again!
-All of the artwork is absolutely beautiful! Though, I do wish the characters didn't have such a rough design. I'm fine with the design now, but I'd say only use it on previews and before the match starts. Then characters would have a cleaner design in game.

-Did they say that you play against real people? Well, you don't! If you look up the CPU's "username" nothing will come up, and it won't say you recently played with someone on this game.

Anyway, you'll love this game if you're into Hearthstone like I am! It's kind of like a better, match-3 version of Hearthstone. I'd recommend this game to anyone and everyone I know!

11/10 would git rekt by CPU's again.

DISCLAIMER: There is one very important aspect of this game you need to be aware of right off the bat. It's buggy as hell. There's been at least a dozen matches that I've played where everything just stops working and you have to alt+F4 out of the game (conceding doesn't even work). This is EXTREMELY annoying and I really hope they fix this soon. That said, let's continue with the review.

This game is cool if you like Puzzle Quest and want a competitive mode that's at least somewhat active.

The F2P is mostly fair, although the system of upgrading auras is sketchy and forces you to stick to a particular character if you want to have a real edge in combat. In the case of this game, I wouldn't recommend spending any money on the gem packs unless you really want a specific character. So a F2P where playing for free is actually viable! That is really cool.

There is a ranking system, but it doesn't mean much. You can get to Diamond in a day, and that's where you'll meet the players who play regularly. But of course as anyone who has played Puzzle Quest knows, there isn't much of a skill aspect to the game, it's almost entirely luck and who can match gems the fastest. So don't expect this to be streamed on Twitch anytime soon or get MLG status. That said it's a fun little game and does have some interesting mechanics.
