What could you do with 79p that is more worth it than this game?

• Enjoy a delicious can of Coca-Cola
• Help a homeless person
• Buy something on the Steam Market
• Donate to a charity
• Back something on Kickstarter
• Buy a game on sale on Steam with 80%+ positive reviews.

Or, you could waste your 79p on this unfinished, abandoned, badly translated, unoriginal game.

It's your choice.

Having played this around when it first came out and just recently coming back to it, the game hasn't changed and doesn't appear to have switched to the Unreal Engine 4 (as was promised).

Game still crashes sporadically, can't get into the Options menu, and the dialogue is cringe-worthy at best.

I don't want to share my score on facebook or share my gun on facebook, and I really don't want boxes popping up in the middle of playing asking me to interact with facebook. After 10 minutes of playing, I'm not sure if this is a game or a clever advertisement for facebook. "Oh look, Woodland bought the shotgun in escape machines! He is soooo cool!!!". Is that what is supposed to happen? I don't get it. Devs need to get all that ♥♥♥♥ out of here if they want to charge people money for this game.

As for the gameplay, you walk around and shoot a bunch of robots that all look pretty much the same. One mission asks you to shoot the robot on the left, and the next says to go over to the right and shoot another robot. It is nothing original or thrilling. I probably would have kept going with it for a while longer if not for the whole facebook thing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off, but this is definitely something I would have played once and been done with anyway.

final verdict: not worth $4.99usd. Wait until it shows up in another bundle.

The game promised to have tons of upgrades within 6 months but it hasn't updated for quite some time. It's extremely generic, has no variation in enemies, and rather boring. On the bright side, I bought it for only 19 cents. It's not like it could get worse.

Also, don't try reporting bugs to the developer. Their forums are just full of malware and fake accounts.

The Game was a good time killer for 0.19€ but it keeps crashing, giving errors, that it made it not enjoyable to play. Else I would've given it a thump up
Lets see how the game runs in the future, and if he'd manage to remove all those bugs.

Beta 0.3 review

I'm still giving up a thumbs down, as it's still way too early to even say where development is going to take it. The upshot to this update is a removal of the silly Facebook stuff. The downshot is that the new level is really unpleasant to play. Lots of high damage, high HP enemies, and no improvements to the combat system to actually make fighting them fun (seriously, the range on the guns is so point blank that all you can do is circle strafe and hope you brought enough health potions). The boss enemy is kind of fun, but also a complete cakewalk compared to the mooks you have to fight first.

But this is all moot, since they're switching over to a better engine and I imagine it's going to feel like a completely different game once Beta 0.4 comes out.

I do want to give the devs credit for making a game that is nostalgic of the old pre-Windows 95 shareware games, by the way. I can't say if the game is going to be good, but I definitely love the aesthetics.

Beta 0.2 review

Personally, I'm giving this a thumbs down because it's so early in the Early Access that the game is in no way worth $5, or really even $1. It has potential, but if you're looking for a game that you can pick up and play then this simply too early to justify the investment.

Also note that while it may look somewhat like X-Com in the screenshots, it's actually a run and gun. If you've played the Alien Shooter series then you've got a good idea of what to expect.

-Glorious 90's style graphics and gameplay. Your mileage will vary, but if you grew up on indie titles in the pre-internet days then this will likely be a wonderful nostalgia trip.
-Simple and easy to play. It could use some tooltips to explain how some things work (FYI: Health packs are automatically used when you run out of health), but it's pretty easy to get the hang of it.
-I found the cutscenes to be charming.

-Only 2 levels in game at the moment. I've unlocked everything within an hour.
-There is no multiplayer in this release. There's also no mention on whether it will have local co-op.
-Kind of buggy. I had to completely leave the game each time I wanted to buy a new weapon. It also switches guns whenever you open the map or go to the options menu.
-It's apparently a Facebook game. Seriously, does anyone in creation share stuff on their Facebook wall via a Steam game? No? Didn't think so.
-The level editor is non-functional in this release.
-The guns are very similar. The Shotgun is a slightly more damaging pistol (with no difference in range or spread), the machine gun is a faster firing pistol, and the laser gun is a more damaging machine gun. They all look and sound like they were made for Lazertag. That's not a bad thing, but I'd like a bit more variety for the sake strategizing which one to bring along.
-That brings me to the biggest downside to the game: You can only carry two guns. One will be your infinite ammo pistol, and the other will be the gun that packs the biggest damage per second. You simply don't have the inventory space to carry more than one ammo user, and you'll be conserving ammo for it until you get to the bullet sponges.
-Oh yeah, the enemy's difficulty is measured in bullet absorption and damage output. Admittedly, there's only three types of enemies in the current build, but it's a very disheartening beginning.
-The maps are very pretty, but they're also completely static. Doors don't open so buildings are just barriers, background objects like flower pots can be walked over as if they were painted onto the terrain, and bad guys just sit around doing nothing until they see you. You can't even blow up cars (or if you can then it takes more ammo then I can carry).

-The game is very claustrophobicly zoomed in and enemies can see and shoot you before you can see or shoot them.

Looks terrible and yet somehow still runs like crap. Extremely basic, repetitive, boring. No tactics, just run up enemies and hold down shoot and hope you have more health then them.

Wow... I don't write a lot of reviews for games but this one is by far SO bad that I would say don't even play it if it's free.

There's so much wrong here so let's start with the basics and work our way from there:

Firstly, the game itself crashes between every level. It crashes when you die and try to play the level again. It shows error message after error message in the middle of levels. It crashes when you shoot too much stuff in one level. It crashes with pretty much anything you do. So that in itself should deter you from getting this game as you can't even play it like a regular game.

Secondly, the battle system. It has a very basic old style rpg shooter battle system. You just go around and shoot things by clicking. You're given a nice startup gun which you can upgrade to be a little better. The battle system is so simple that I kind of feel like a little kid pointing and clicking at things. You get to get a life pack, which renews every time you die so you only really need three max in your inventory because they come right back afterwards. They are SUPPOSED to automatically be used when you run out of life. Although one of the fun glitches is that if you run out of armor sometimes a life pack will be used just for the hell of it and revive 3 HP.

Thirdly, the dreaded inventory system. I like the idea behind it, I've seen it before, it makes sense. You are given an amount of space to drag and drop things. You can only fit what you need in that space so you need to make sure you use it carefully. Problem is this: you must be carrying a gun at all times. This would be no problem if it let me just take guns out and put one in and only show me the warning when I am trying to start the game without a gun. But no that's not the case. The gun takes up a good 50-70% of your beginning inventory space. You can see very fast how this would be a major problem if the game requires you put a gun in before you can take one out. You usually need to sell everything in your inventory in order to fit a gun in to swap out. This is very inconvenient if you don't enjoy spending 5-10 minutes between every level to rearrange your inventory.

Fourth, the store. After every level (or when you die) you get to rearrange your inventory and it has a handy store on the side to buy things and drag to your inventory. The glitches here are fairly minor but still not what I expect any game regardless of release stage to have. For one, if you don't buy the second gun, you can't buy the third gun. It doesn't warn you at all about this. In fact, if you try to buy the third gun it will say you can buy it and then you click and you won't see anything happen. I found out myself you must buy all guns before the gun you want to buy in order to actually buy it.
The store lets you upgrade your guns and armor, as I said previously, for a price (of course). Problem is, this "price" is more of a general guideline. By that I mean it depends on what glitch you are fortunate enough to have at the moment of buying upgrades (and trust me you are guaranteed at LEAST one glitch at any given time). That being said, I'll explain: Let's say I just bought myself a laser gun. I had never owned a laser gun. This gun tells me it costs 20 "mints" to upgrade per time. I don't have said mints. Therefore, I go to the next level, get some mints, and come to upgrade the gun. I get back to this inventory/store page and go to upgrade my gun. Except this time it's only 5 mints to upgrade. That's really convenient! So I go crazy on the upgrades (thinking I'm paying 5 mints per upgrade). By the time I'm ready to upgrade the next thing I realized it charged me 10 mints per upgrade. Why is that? I have no idea.

Fifth, the storyline. Okay okay I understand it's an intro game or whatever the storyline isn't a major issue. Liklihood is you just are here to shoot stuff so skip the story. Either way, I have to say the pictures of people on bad backgrounds that make this look like it belongs in some 1990's era $0.50 game from the garbage bin makes me feel a little cheated. Least they could do when they release a game is give it SOME storyline with SOME kind of graphics, not some crappy posted picture a guy took of himself on a cell phone.

Sixth, (I can't believe you read this far and haven't already told yourself you don't wanna buy the game but whatever. There's more stuff to be said), the battle system (AGAIN!). Yes, I know I've already talked about the battle system but this time I'm gonna talk about the reactions of the things you are actually fighting: The robots. So these "super artificially intelligent" robots are about as intelligent as a two year old with a laser on it's head. They stop following you the second they lose a line of sight. I mean they will flat out just stop if you go behind a car. It's that easy. Just step behind a car and they stop. And they move at the speed of like... idk... 0.001 miles per hour. They're just hella slow lemme just put it that way. So escaping them is really no big deal.
These robots also don't really have a great idea of what "line of sight" means either cause sometimes they won't see you but you definitely can shoot them. This is great when you just hide behind a car and sneak around the corner, and shoot them till they die with no retaliation whatsoever.
The robots are also VERY basic. There is no fancy anything about it. No special place to hit them or things to do to really destroy one robot but not another. It's just flat out shoot and kill. And while some robots have a little more.. mobility and can hit you faster, most of them are easily taken down by just circling like a shark and shooting. It's something anyone 6 years old and up can do.

All in all what I'm trying to say is buying this game is a HUGE waste. I feel more sorry that I had to take time out of my life to download this game and try to play it and have to make a huge review based off of what I played in less than 30 minutes than the price. I guess if you still are thinking about this game after this review then go for it, buy it, waste your time, you'll be in the same place I am now and think "wow did I really just waste my time doing this stuff". Please just save your time and money and go somewhere else. There are no improvements to this game. It's so far down that no one can save it. It would be cheaper to just scratch the whole thing and start a new game. Something tells me whoever made this probably stayed up one night making some cheap game and thought "this is how I am going to make money" and then releases it. It's really just sad, don't take the effort.
