What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm putting Corona MotorSport in Early Access because I want to build an audience before the game is officially released and have them help improve the experience for future gamers.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Corona MotorSport will remain in Early Access for as long as needed, that depends on how much help and support we receive from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version will be a lot different from early access. I plan for the game to get more realistic vehicle physics and even better graphics as well as seamless multiplayer and storyline integration. I want the game to have a professional look and feel, to make the gamer think this is truly a unique experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Corona MotorSport is still in it's alpha stages but will soon transfer to a full release when the time comes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the final release price will most likely increase as we continue to add new features every update.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan on greatly involving the Steam Community to help me finish the game. Im looking for people to provide feedback, point out bugs, make suggestions, and even help with designing the game such as making textures or modeling tracks/vehicles. I would also need people to help translate the game into their own native languages.”

Update 2.07c out now!

Hey guys,
Update 2.07c is here! A few bugfixes and some new content will make their debut in this update!

What's new?
  • Updated Unity to 5.4.2 - misc bug fixes and improvements
  • Updated cinematic image effects in-game
  • Modeled new high-poly side railings for Monza
  • *Hopefully* patched all remaining holes in Monza (special thanks to Snuzi for pointing those out)
  • Misc bug fixes and optimizations - Tip: Screen Space Reflections are resource intensive, disabling this effect may substantially increase your framerate, disable it via the settings menu in-game
  • New car - Serato Uragano (second car in main menu)
I hope you all enjoy this update! I look forward to providing many more!
Thank you all for your continued support and Happy Thanksgiving!

Notice: Force feedback has been temporarily disabled since it causes a MASSIVE frame rate drop in certain circumstances, it will return shortly

Also: seems to be a shader bug with the rain system, road does not proceduraly generate rain maps, road just looks glossy in build, will fix asap

Project Roadmap now available

Hey guys,
Since the game's first alpha release, many have wondered what's next for Corona MotorSport and when can they expect it. I have the solution to that problem:

We now have a roadmap available for viewing in the discussions, it is updated daily so go and check it out! It's a bit archaic since the steam discussions aren't meant for much more than quick messages but it gets the job done, I'll make one available on my website shortly but in the mean time: CHECK IT OUT!!!

About This Game

[b[About Corona MotorSport[/b]

Corona MotorSport is a simulation-based Early Access racing game. Developed by LucasGame Studios, Corona MotorSport features a constantly improving physics system based on UnityCar and Nvidia PhysX 3. Corona MotorSport also features realistic graphics and vehicle models. The game is almost entirely coded in C# and built in Unity 5.
LucasGame Studios is an indie game studio founded in 2012.

Advanced Tire Model

Traditionally, Unity-based racing games use WheelColliders to simulate wheels in-game. These only detect a single contact point on the wheel, which is suitable for most arcade-styled games. Corona MotorSport uses a Tire Model that recognizes multiple contact points on the wheel to improve realism and suspension/handling simulation.

Beautiful Graphics
Corona MotorSport features top-of-the-line graphics with constant tweaks and improvements each update.
  • Realtime Reflection Probes - creates the base layer of reflections in the game, very low performance cost
  • Screen Space Reflections (SSR) - Adds onto reflection probes to provide accurate, higher resolution reflections.
  • Dynamic Time and Weather system - Test your skills in rain, fog, snow (seasonal), sun, night or day!
  • Image Effects - Bloom, Cinematic Color Grading, Tonemapping and more come together to create a beautiful racing experience
  • Physically based shading - High quality shaders based on Shader Model 5 with dynamic rain and snow coverage support
  • DirectX 11
