“Epic Arena is one of my favorite games this year. Addictive gameplay, an inspired visual design and a ridiculously fair freemium mechanic will keep me coming back for more.”
9/10 – Arcade Sushi

“Epic Arena delivers an experience that abides by the age-old design philosophy of “easy to learn and hard to master,” all while being free-to-play.”
4/5 – 148 Apps

“Consider Epic Arena an excellent blend between casual and high-pressure, fast-paced, strategic play. It offers something for most player types and it is doing so in a well-packaged manner, with an attention to detail in both gameplay and user experience.”

Epic Arena is a free to play PVP game with some solo content. It worked, played ok, looked ok, sounded ok. It is cross-platform, so there will be more players online.
Try it, maybe you will like it.

Turn based game with cards

This game could be good i suppose, if players acctualy played it

- nice looking achievements (however it will be really hard to get them now because no one is playing)
- there are missions which are more of a puzzles than real combat, you can beat every mission in only 1 turn
- simple and easy to get into
- has competitive matches with mmr, and player with highest mmr becomes "world champion"
- all content except some cosmetics can be earned (which means this game is not p2w)
- graphics are not that bad
- decks are themed

- not much variety

- no one is playing it
- there are only 3 preset themed decks (order, chaos and pirates) , and you cant change your deck contents (yes you have to play with preset decks) except the power cards, which belong to another deck as support cards.
- only 1 game mode (destroy the eggs/kill everyone)
- no bots (but there are missions)
- developers seem to have abandoned it

This game is another tablet/facebook turnbased game that somehow made it on steam. Its not that bad, but its just abandoned

Fantastic game, needs small changes to pricing. Is the love child of Chess and Magic The Gathering.

The decks are always the same, the only thing that changes are the power cards. Not much variety.

Pay2Win, every game you can use up to 5 one-time-use-only power cards. If you play you earn little gold to buy a few power cards, but only few and not the better ones. It is absolte Pay2Win Game

Small Review
Play the Russian roulette on a board, you can cheat…

Complete Review
☺ It’s free. Download it while you read this review (3-6 minutes).
☺ Run on a toaster (♥♥♥♥♥♥/old computers).
☺ Execute the game (first time) and play tutorial. Like, hate or just ignore, you'll know it playing the tutorial.
☹ Make sure go to missions and try the 3 decks before play online. Why? Because you only can choose 1 deck to play online. Freemium game . Playing with the same deck 3 hours later is boring as ♥♥♥♥.
☺ It was release (5 May, 2015) like a P2W game. Developers listened the community and 2 days later, they changed the P2W system to Think-to-Win . Ignore all those review saying “P2W” and try it by yourself .
☺ Graphical interface is easy and intuitive. It’s available in 13 languages. The game modes are:
  • Missions: it’s offline mode or Wait-to-Play-Online mode.
  • Duels: play casual or ranked without hurry: no time, make your move a few days later after your opponent’s move.
  • Casual: get fun playing online versus a random dude. Win coins and XP.
  • Ranked: play to be the first on the leaderboard. The best. Casuals...
☹ Strategy games needs a bit of lucky to make them funny and interesting. Sometimes this game is frustrating because:
  • 12 fighters (hand + field) and no power up cards; or
  • 2 fighters and 10 power up cards (hand + incoming cards). Force you to use those power up cards on those fighters.
☹ Special power cards broke the balanced of the match. Maybe someone will reply:
— Bu… But, you can get specials cards playing…
— Sure… that’s people with a huge free time. You can use 5 thunderbolts because ♥♥♥♥ your luck and strategy.

Note: developers needs to add a No-Special-Card mode . It will be great.

☺ You will find people playing online on the afternoon and night.
Central Time Zone
☹ Brotherhood of Order is OP.

Faces #
☺ Happy 6
☹ Sad 4

Turn on the radio and enjoy this fantastic game

As a fan of turn-based strategy games I think this game has a great potential.

+ Different factions look well balanced (but I like Chaos the most)
+ You can choose any team at the start
+ PvP mode is very dynamic regardless this is a turn-based game.
+ Can be played on PC, Tablets, Mobile
+ Cool missions that will teach you all the tactical tricks (or will break your mind :p )
+ Devs care what players say (respond fast and are improving game)
- not much players want to play ranked games
- sometimes players just drop the match when they see they are losing...

So, go head and try. And you can challenge me for a ranked match ;) (TywinLanny)

Balanced and fair, if a bit short on content/variety, freemium turn-based strategy game with solid depth to it's mechanics. Not recommended for those without much strategy experience/love, as the game's tactics are sort of left to the player to learn- advanced concepts like controlling the pace of turns, unit harassment/blocking, etc are present here.

Real money purchases consist of cosmetics and 2/3 of the game's 'decks', which are sets of units you use to battle. I wish these were a bit more customizable, the decks are a static number of 'cards' that summon units, give them an upgrade, or have an immediate impact on the battle. The first deck is free, and a f2p player will be using one deck for their sessions. Annoying since I fall into that category (budget of $0, literally) but the decks are balanced quite well even in 'competitive' matches (the game is new and deceptively simple, so there isn't much of a 'scene' here)

Also, developer is very friendly and non-malicious. This is no cash grab or lackluster effort, but a polished and scrappy little foray into competitive strategy by a young developer simply trying his hand. Give it a try if you fit the audience, it'll be a good bit of fun.

Never have I ever had more fun with a strategy game. The scenario-esk missions are challenging but quick to speed through, and the strategy necessary to dominate multiplayer games is great.

The players themselves are the problem, leaving when they're going to lose.
It's impossible to acquire more than one deck without paying real money

The game itself is 10/10

Q: Pirates Mission, How to get 3 stars from "Boarding Party!" mission ?

Sorry for my mistake. The game has no issue. I feel silly.

Anyway I like this game. It's smooth and fun. :)

This is my first game of such genre and I find it very cool. Tutorial nicely walks through basic tactics. Game is not an easy one, but it makes it challenging and interesting. Also humour present in many units and item descriptions, units animation. Game is localized to many language that make it more friendly to wider public.
Also good relax after AAA games.

An unique mix of pretty fantasy style graphics, card game & chess like strategy in real time. Different teams, different abilities, maps and tactics makes each match unique.
Highly Recommend!

I used Missions mode instead of a tutorial. First missions are very comprehensible and make the game process clear (played the Pirates Deck). One deck is available free, I chose Pirates.

+ Game graphics
+ I'm a fan of turn based strategies, so missions mode suites me most.
+ For an experienced player, online PVP mode is the most interesting
- A duel that may last forever is a very strange mode for me, but other players may like it.

Though the game mechanics is not new, I like the game. It requires skill and logic and I didn't see any pay to win features.
