I didn't think there would be a soundtrack I loved more than Bastion. I was wrong.

The music makes this game what it is, Without it it wouldn't be what it is, Although the gameplay is great and it is very much alike to bastion the game itself if made whole with Red the main character humming to the soundtrack

The vocal tracks (The Spine, In Circles, We All Become, Paper Boats, Signals, and She Shines) are absolutely awesome. As for instrumental tracks, Old Friends, Stained Glass, Gold Leaf, Gateless, and Coasting are great too. On the extended soundtrack, pretty much all of the hummed versions of tracks are also really good, as well as all three of the "processed" songs.

On another note, I personally love pairing Blank Canvas (Hummed) and Paper Boats like they're one track as well, or putting together the three versions of Gold Leaf. The soundtrack in general flows really well, and all the songs are great to some level.

Literally one of the best soundtracks I've ever listened to? Transistor had amazing gameplay, story, graphics and even a good OST?? Clearly this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miracle. 10/10. (I still cry at Blank Canvas. . .)

Yes, I know I could just get songs i like of this game from the internet. But when theres something just so lovingly crafted and overwhelmingly moving that you wish to see more of and share with the world, you must support it.
Its what us as gamers, hell, as people, need to do.

Here's the meme version of "overwhelmingly positive" feedback:

Shut up and take my money!

The OST is awesome, especially the vocal pieces. The extended OST is a bit underwhelming, I'd say. "The Spine (instrumental)" is the best in the Extended list but "We All Become (vocal)" is undoubtedly and undeniably my personal favorite in the entire DLC.

This is the only OST I have ever legally owned. Usually I'm like "ehh, I already bought the game, y'know, whatever"
Not here. The devs here deserve the extra 10 bucks for this artwork of a game.

You get: the beautiful soundscapes of darren korb (old friends, impossible, apex beat, WATERWALL)
the parts where ashley barrett as red sings in the game
some other song that doesn't even show up in the game that ashley barrett sings
these remixes of the songs that play in the game that also play in the game but they forgot the vowels
the instrumentals of the singsongy parts in case you hate ashley barrett (but why would you)
the songs that play in the game with the humming when you hold tab (hum along, you feel like you have friends, pretty good time)
some cover art so you can pretend you bought it in an actual store if you have a printer

recommendation()

string ownership

Main()
console.writeline ("do you own the soundtrack to this awesome game?")
ownership = console.readline()
if ownership = "yes"
{
console.writeline("Congratulations on buying this awesome soundtrack")
}
else
{
console.writeline("what are you waiting for,buy this soundtrack already")
jump to Main()
}

End

10/10 would code a semi functioning half-VB program again.

Unmatched in quality, genuinely the best soundtrack to any game that's been released in this decade. In my opinion if Bastion was a herald to display Darren Korb's talent, then Transistor's soundtrack blows it out of the water as an absolute for his skills. Ashley Barrett could easily be the next singer for the Bond films with her beatifully eerie voice and the two make a lethal combination.

Better yet, they included the hummed version of every track to the album, for 50% off at £3.50 during sales it's a must buy and I'd easily recommend even at full price. I have only ever bought two albums in my life, Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid MaaD city and the Transistor soundtrack.

Support Supergiant people, they make great stuff.

A very calm and gentle soundtrack when compared to the techno-bluegrass of Bastion. The singer has a beautiful voice for the songs In Circles, We All Become, Spine of the World and Paper Boats while the orchestral arrangements are still unique and soothing to listen to.
If you like your music, then give Transistor's soundtrack a go, fitting music for a great game.
