Christmas is here and to celebrate we're releasing 7 new cards! The new 7 cards will be included free of cost in your copy of Draconian Wars, just wait until Steam updates it. Take a look at all the cards included in the pack here
Control and brutality; science and magic
Part of the beauty of Draconian Wars is that each faction approaches differently the war for Hyperborea. Technocrats rely on their knowledge, technology, and thorough battle plans. The Cartographer clearly represents this philosophy. This small ground unit gives a combat fate penalty to your opponent for each ground zone you control. If you spread your units, you can get up to -2 penalty, which can be the difference between winning or losing, or between damaging a strong unit or a weak one. A brave commander will send weak units to empty zones just to get quick control over them. Then start a combat where the Cartographer is. And in the move phase maneuver his units to avoid opponent's retaliation.
The inventors also get a new reinforcement, the Metachemist. This specialized units finds his place among those who master the combat planning. Moreover, since he's an Inventor, Marguerite can improve his extraction capabilities.
On the other hand, Draconians send lesser units carelessly to the battlefield. These beasts do not hesitate to feed on each other to become stronger. The Gigagons excel at this. This pack includes the new Carnivorous Gigagon, which comes with an intimidating force of 7, and two powerful abilities. The first one allows it to become Shielded by sacrificing a comrade. The second one damages a small opposing unit, discarding just one card! To reinforce the Gigagons, from the wetlands of Hyperborea comes the Marsh Salamander. These salamanders like to hunt their preys in groups, if you spot one, be prepared to face a whole pack of them. Moreover, whenever a Marsh Salamander is sacrificed you Recover one. Making any Gigagon army even more powerful.
Where Technocrats use gadgets, Draconians employ enchantments. The magic of Draconians warlocks increases as more of them gather. The Dreadful Warlock uses this power to bring back to live fallen comrades. As long as you keep the power of magic stronger than the power of science, your opponents will have to face your units over and over again.
Discover these 5 cards and two more (Narrow Escape and Call the Eagles) in the new pack and get ready to spend these holidays in Hyperborea.
