What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We see Early Access as an opportunity to shape PENTO alongside the community. The core mechanics are in place and fully playable, but the game is designed to grow. Early Access lets us fine-tune the experience based on feedback, expand content, and improve quality without rushing the final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for at least 3 months, though this may change based on development progress and player input. The goal is to leave Early Access once core features are implemented and the game reaches a polished, complete state.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of PENTO is planned to include:

  • More visual customization, including expanded background options and themes
  • Challenge modes, such as timed runs and puzzle goals
  • Online leaderboards
  • Difficulty settings
  • Optional music and sound effects
  • A possible campaign mode with progression
  • Steam achievements and other quality-of-life features

These additions will enhance the overall experience while keeping the game clean and focused.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build of PENTO is stable and fully playable. It features the complete core gameplay: rotating and placing five-block shapes, clearing lines, and tracking local scores. Background switching is already implemented. However, some features — such as sound, advanced customization, and progression systems — are still in development, and overall polish will improve with player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The final version may have a slightly higher price, depending on the scope of added content. All future updates will be free to Early Access players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll use the Steam Community forums as the main hub for feedback, suggestions, and discussion. As the community grows, we may expand to platforms like Discord or set up direct feedback channels. Players are encouraged to share impressions, report issues, and help shape the future of PENTO.”
