Really great game. Really entertaining when you get into it. It gets really hard at the end.

The highlight of the bundle I got this in, this old racer still packs a lot of punch. Fun races and and fairly good graphics to go along with it. Pretty girls to ogle, too.

Only downside is that there aren't many maps, but I'll overlook that.

Check it out.

Can't get it to work without crashing when loading races on Windows 8.1 64 bit. While it actually loaded a race once, I wasn't able to actually play the game due to the menu not sucessfully binding keys to my USB 360 controller. No widescreen resolutions are available either. This was added to Steam very lazily.

I thought, because of the mainly positive reviews that this would be an enjoyable arcade racing game. I expected too much. It just feels, in my opinion, slow and clunky and there are no options to adjust and fix that (because it is a ps2 port).

This review probably won't help anyone in their descision whether or not to buy, but I doubt most people really care about the gameplay. Be honest, it was the barely-clothed woman that caught your eye. Well sorry to burst your bubble, but as you would expect, their is no nudity and some of the models seem awkward as if they've just been picked off the street and payed to dance.

So to sum up, even when Namco use the earliest trick in the marketing book (displaying young, attractive half naked women), it still doesn't wor.....k... oh wait.. I bought it....damn!

Well, this was a surprise. Out of nowhere this 2004 multiplatform street racer dropped on Steam in the middle of the week, causing me to throw my hands in the air and wave 'em around (almost like I didn't care) much like one of the short-shorts and high heels wearing fly girlies in this game who mob your car and celebrate your racing wins for some reason. Here's hoping they keep coming, I love these blasts from the both distant and recent past that have been appearing en masse on Steam lately.

That said, this game is okay in 2014. Not great, not bad, but unlike many other genres, sports and racing games tend to suffer a little more with age. The game looks fine considering its age and target platforms, and it runs easily at 60fps on modern equipment, but there's just not the greatest sense of speed present. That can be mitigated by switching to the hood camera, but really, that's never been one of my favorite views for driving games.

There's a deep career mode with a bare boned open-world element, a quick race mode, and seemingly endless menus of vehicle upgrades and customizations one could partake in. There's also plenty of "2 Fast, 2 Furious" type cheesiness if you want some laughs, and lots of weirdly sloped polygonal butts and boobs to ogle if that's your bag. Lots of fun to be had here for people with the proper mindset.

This game is AWESOME...because you'll get to see girls dancing in bikinis.

The gameplay is generic but what is unique is about you can go to your Steam App and find this game's videos. There are lot of sexy videos so you know what to do with them, right??

If you missed this game on Xbox, & PS2, then you're in for a treat if you like street racing, & tuners... it looks WAY better on PC if you turn the settings up, runs WAY smoother too, true it's not as fast moving as say NFS U2, but that can be a good thing if you're just lookin to chill, n have a few fun races... the HOT chics in the game are just an added bonus!!! Works with X360 pad, & you can remap the buttons 9/10 (-1 for no online functionality)

I know this is an old game, but I never play this game before. So I know nothing about this game. When I play this game, well, it's really fun. It's not really hard nor easy. Nice customization and stuff. If you're a fans of arcade-racing game, you need to give it a try. Good game. 8/10.

Street Racing Syndicate was originally released back in 2004 on pc and all the major consoles. Considering this pc port was made the same year, it's alright.

As a street racing game, it's pretty average, all things considered. Most of the races are pretty straightforward, you buy upgrades for your car between them, and you can drive around the city freely between races to find secrets. However, I greatly appreciated the feature that allowed you to instantly start any race from the map so you don't have to drive all the way there. Why more modern racing games still don't have that as a standard feature is beyond me.

If you're going to buy this, remember it's a 10-year-old pc game and they made no effort to update it. The max resolution you can achieve is 1260 x 960, so it won't look great on most modern setups. However, it still has a lot of scaling capabilities, and all the buttons can be freely remapped without any trouble. I managed to get my xbox 360 controller running without much of an issue, though I'd suggest manually setting the keys yourself because the default layout is a little weird.

All in all, it's a pretty average game. If you're looking for something fun to play on a really outdated pc, or you just like street racing, you could do a lot worse than this.

Street Racing Syndicate... This game, was my favorite when I was just a young kid. I use to play this game all the time on my PlayStation 2. I tried buying the disc version of this game for PC a long time ago but I was never able to get it to run on Windows 7. When I saw this game pop up on Steam I was quite excited. I figured, since it is on Steam it should work on Windows 7 now. Thankfully, it does!

To me, this game is a classic. I always liked the way the cars control on this game compared to the Need for Speed Underground series. The map is small, but when it comes to street racing games I'm not really fond of driving around without any purpose. I like to be able to start my races from anywhere I stand. The customization of the cars in this game is quite good, you can tweak pretty much every part of your car. The car selection however is rather small compared to most other racing games. The whole girlfriend side missions are kind of random in my opinion. Seriously, the comments people are making about the girls in this game is kind of pathetic. That being said, this is an overall fantastic ten year old game, buy it.

Funny racing game. You can customize your cars like you want. Ideal for older PC because low system requirements. On Windows 8 64bit is buggy Anti-Aliasing (screen is blinking)

Man what can i say about this game. This game came out 10 years ago and i was 10 years old at the time and i remember this game being 1 of the street racing games that i loved on the PS2. I remember renting it at blockbuster when it was still around. Anything with cars, modding cars, and neon lights under the cars i wanted it! I didnt even think twice about the price when i saw it on steam about 2 days ago and i immediately bought it with no hesitation lol. If you are a fan of what used to be the best street racing games that were made then you should get this and if you were a fan of it when it came out then its a must have! Good thing that they brought this over to steam.

One of the best nostalgic racing game iv'e ever played! it's kinda remind me from Kaido Battle (a.k.a Tokyo Xtreme Racer).

this game have every men's best dream (Cars + Hot Chicks)! 11/10 would bang 'em all! they're f*ckable!

plus, it has cool costumization! and some cars are capable to reach over 500hp! and some of cool manga-like vinyls and wheels and shiet...

however, it's very hard to handle if you tune a car to the max (specially to RWD cars). every chick in this game has her own 3 vids (except a girl who has ONLY ONE vid, sadly).

anyway, i'm disappointed at TWO things: Pursuit Mode and Most cars are rice-able.
