About the Game

Prometheus Corporation is the leader in the generation and distribution of energy to all cities in the world. Due to the ideas and designs of charismatic president Demetrio Watts, the corporation developed new technologies producing higher quantities of energy at a lower cost, granting them near-absolute control of the market.

The friendly policies enforced by Prometheus and Demetrio Watts has made citizens confident they will have access to electricity in their houses every day. However, very few of them are aware of what's behind Demetrio Watts' smile or behind the scenes in Prometheus Corporation. Secret plans. Terrible plans. Plans which will take the population by surprise. When they realize what is going on, it will already be too late.

A group of rebels are the only ones who know Demetrio and his company's true intentions, and will do everything it takes to bring the truth to light about the person who pretends to be their eternal benefactor. It will not be easy or agreeable, but the danger behind what Prometheus hides within is a threat to all. Stopping Demetrio Watts is in the hands of a group of unknowns. Depends on Arcturus.

Good old time shoot 'em up. Enjoyed playing it although the difficulty bar is quite high. The ability to constantly upgrade your ship gives it longevity. Controls are unique using mouse and keyboard which make it very intuitive to learn. Recommended as a blast from the past!

Action without pause and a lot of adrenaline. The ship control is very precise and the motion of rotation of the camera is just perfect. Love it!

Projectiles from off-camera behind you make this game quite frustrating, no matter how good your reflexes, if you can't see the bullet, you can't dodge it.

The game is not bad, but always having one eye on the radar and off the action to avoid surprise instant damage seems out of place for a fast paced bullet-hell shooter. Maybe some sort of warrning system that lets you know when an enemy behind you starts shooting, anything other than having to constantly look at the radar litterally every second.

Project root combines the style of a classic retro shooter with the controls of a twitch shooter in this open world game.

The game is split into missions each with it's own set of goals and objectives that you must complete to help the rebels in their fight against Prometheus.

The combination of open world with story based missions makes this an interesting game.

+ Fantastic world graphics with masses of visual depth
+ In depth story
+ Easy to use controls with helpful tutorial
+ Various powerups and ship upgrades

- Hard to defend against rear attacks because of ships position on screen
- Depth of vision could be a proplem for thos who suffer fear of heights
- Steep learning curve, straight in at the deep end
