Why Early Access?

“Our goal is to create a top-notch game for people who love strategy and anyone interested in this very unique time period. Please remember before purchasing that this is a beta version of the game. Your feedback will influence the final game, so please let us know what you think and what could be improved. Muzzy Lane has a great reputation for making improvements suggested by the community, so Early Access is a great opportunity for our players to help us shape the game.”

How long will this game be in Early Access?

“Since the game launched on April 4th, we have released a new update every two weeks. We plan to remain in Early Access until we are confident we have delivered the game we promised our fans. We are very close to release! Thanks for being part of the process!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have an editor and multiplayer functionality, and a tutorial. We will continue to update the game regularly after release with additional content and bug fixes as needed, as well as continuing to fine-tune the game balance based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have now entered beta. There is still some missing content, but the core game is feature complete!!! Updates will break saved games from earlier versions. A partial game manual has been posted and a quick guide for military units. All nations are now playable. Big fixes, content additions and game balancing are ongoing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

The Initial Early Access pricing of $19.99, 50% off the launch price, has now ended The price increased to $29.99 on July 1st. When the game launches, the price will be $39.99. Purchasing the game at any time during Early Access entitles you to all updates as well as the full release version at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Since the game launched, we've maintained a running dialog with players both here in the Community Hub and at our own forums at making-history.com. We want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who has joined the Early Access program to be part of the development of Making History: The Great War. About This Game

Making History - The Great War: Take control as leader of one of the Great Powers during the era of the First World War and make the tough calls on how to manage your nation’s financial, technological, political and military decisions.

Will you spread your influence over the world, bolster your nation’s resources, or attempt to build a coalition of nations? See how your actions influence the rise and fall of empires in one of the most detailed WWI grand strategy games ever made.

  • Witness the Birth of Modern Industrialized Warfare: Race against other world powers to develop key new military technologies such as tanks, warplanes and submarines. See how these new weapons change the course of global power.
  • Make Friends and Use Foes: Create alliances and trade deals with friendly nations or threaten weaker neighbors with economic and political demands. You can also turn a defeated foe into a puppet state, giving them some level of independence in exchange for their support.

  • See the War from Every Angle: Play as any nation - big or small - in multiple scenarios that highlight key moments during the Great War. Make not only military decisions, but industrial and financial ones at both the city- and region-level.
  • Control the Seas: Create naval blockades to disrupt enemy supply lines and restrict troop movement or conduct unrestricted submarine warfare.
  • Online Multiplayer: Tired of showing the computerized leaders who’s boss? Link up with other armchair generals and play online with other members of the Making History community.

This game i've wanted for a long time now! It's a combination of civilization franchise and paradox interactives strategy games such as european universalis and victoria games. This game is a turnbased game. The developer put alot of emphasis on diplomatic. This is a review on the early access. Will make a better one once the game have officially released.

This game is excellent. It has the perfect balance of being easy enough to pick up, but challenging and complex enough to keep players entertained for a long time. Developers seem very active, and friendly. If this game ends up like the previous installments, us players can expect to see developer support for a long time. 10/10 without a doubt.

Great work guys. I cant wait to see future updates for this game. I wont lie i love these kinda games but i feel this game needs a tutorial. It was kinda mind blowing the amout of unites and resources to mange. but there was a menu that was easy to navagate interface. but i could not find out how to make alliances witch was a downfall. if you are going to buy this keep in mind its a time comsuming game with a small bug here or there. Its not a quick command and counqer game like i thought it was kinda going to be. by the way if you are a mac player this runs great on mac :)

Its a really good game for those who like turn based games. Resently a lot of new playable facions have come out and they are all really enjoyable to play. Even though the game is still in development it looks very promissing and i recommend you get it.

Early Access Review
This game is awesome, at the moment you can play as germany, France, and a few others. as it is now i have been playing for over a couple of hours and its really good. If you like the previous making history games you will love this one. The game has been running really smooth and I havent experienced any bugs yet. There area few thing that havent been finished like casualties in battles show up for me as "XX" but so far its running really smooth and is a lot of fun I think you will be pleasently surprised. The game is a hudge overall from the previous making history's. You can really see this in the recuritment and development of infurstructure. Overall as a early access i give it buy as it runs smooth and delivers on the prmoises the dev's gave. Like I said only a few countires are playable, but more will come. only other issue i have experienced is for some reason AH will not deploy their troops to the russian border even though they have lost two provicnes so far. Many of their larger armies stay stationed in the center of the country or on the allied western border. Not sure why as Italy has helped me with France to the point that mainland france is all but one provience away from being defeated.
