A fun, cheeky board game. Plenty of reply value, as choices affect outcomes.

I'm a sucker for distinct period style, wit, and puzzles. This game gives me all three and then some. I feel like the title and subject matter might turn off the male gamer, but they're missing out. The first time I failed a flirt attempt and got the "He's too much!" screen, I cackled!

I think maybe the price point of the game is a LITTLE high. And I would love to see a HD version of this game. Actually, I'd love to see a physical boardgame of this game produced - not sure how that would work, logistically. But it would be fun as hell to play this with people!

What's especially commendable is the variety of races/body types/personalities in this game. It's very rare to see that and a breath of fresh air!

My only grievance with this game is that some of the "expose" puzzles aren't random (and considering you're trying to piece together a mystery, they SHOULDNT be random) - so sometimes its a matter of having a good memory vs actually solving the puzzle.

It's simple, addictive, charming, and keeps you on your toes.

UPDATE:

I gotta say that the charm wears off LONG BEFORE you're even close to finishing this. I wish there was a 50/50 option. Buy it on sale.

This game is nothing like I've ever played. It focuses on you and your posse uncovering a mystery as well as tidbits that have happened/are happening in town. In order to progress the game, there are mini games you play with people that if you win, will draw the truth out of them and add a piece of the puzzle for understanding. If you lose, you suffer the consequence like decreased reputation or losing one of your gals from the posse.

I am enthralled with this game. It's a little repetitious sure but the story outweighs that for me 10 times over. Pick it up and immerse yourself in a world of high school queen bees in the 1920's. :)

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble is a fun game that's set up in a board game style although there is clearly a story. For those who aren't familiar with this game, the basic idea is that you play as a queen (of your own choosing) of your high school and have to recruit three other girls and boyfriends (although the latter is optional) to help you solve cases/problems that are happening first in the high school and then in and around the town of Brigiton. As you encounter various characters in the places you explore, there are four mini-games you can play: taunting, exposing (solving a word riddle), fibbing (kind of like poker), and gambit. Succeeding at these games will give you access to perks like items and increases in stats although you can increase the stats of a girl in your party after she has successfully played a certain number of mini-games.

For the most part, I liked this game. The story intrigued me and I liked the gameplay aspect, especially exploring the various places and such.

I do have a few criticisms, however, although they are really minor more than anything. First off, I had no idea that once a boyfriend would sacrifice himself to prevent a girl from leaving your party, there was no way to recruit that same boy again. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as there are more boys available as you get to explore more places. Still, having this information beforehand would have been convenient.

The other criticism I had was regarding how to get the best ending for this game. Even though I had followed a walkthrough for this game (from Gamezebo), I couldn't get the best ending. It was because one of the final goals was to collect scriptures and morals regarding the main problem in Brigiton and why all of the problems there were happening. However, later on, I did find out that an answer to this problem was posted on another website although I'm not sure if that answer is accurate. Because of the way I tend to play and all, I make sure to explore all places thoroughly and go back and forth to make sure that I don't miss anything. Of course, this could be a bug but I can't verify anything as to that.

Even though this is an older game, I would like to have seen an achievements list added in the game itself. According to the walkthrough I checked, there should be a total of 16 separate events but there is no way that a player would know this unless he/she looked at a walkthrough or searched online for that information. I don't think it's necessary to add Steam achievements or anything of the sort since I know that could be difficult to add for an older game but I would have liked for there to have been an achievements list. I like to make sure that I've done everything I can in the games I play. XD

Overall, though, I do recommend this game. It's fun despite that there are a few dark themes presented. I'd recommend patience to play through since it's highly unlikely for someone to finish it in one sitting. I may try to replay it later for a better ending but we'll see. XD
