Why Early Access?

“We aspire to craft an exceptional game, and we firmly believe that direct collaboration with our player community is the most effective way to achieve this goal. Grill on Wheels is already a substantial VR game, with numerous additions in mind. Early Access enables us to gather valuable feedback, ensure the game's quality, and collaboratively work with players to incorporate their desires into the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We can't provide an exact duration. Presently, we are working on adding additional core gameplay mechanics such as marketing, much more consistent in-game economy, cosmetics, and multiplayer gameplay before considering the game as version 1.0. It's safe to say that Grill on Wheels will remain actively in development for at least another 3 months, starting from October 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay will remain largely consistent, with the addition of menu selection and marketing mechanics. What we will introduce is cosmetics, and more trucks and equipment. Moreover, we plan to introduce multiplayer gameplay with versus and co-op modes in addition to the existing leaderboard.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Most of the planned core features of the game have been successfully implemented. The single-player mode is fully operational, and we offer a fully functional global leaderboard. There are 4 trucks you can buy and one equipment (oven, storage, counter, etc.) in each type. There are french fries, 5 different burger types, 4 beverages, and 7 ingredients to prepare and serve different menus. 4 different gameplay areas, a garage, and a market are in place to ensure a multi-layered gameplay for you.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During the Early Access period, the game will stay free. We plan to ship new content and features as DLCs and while the base game stays free, the additional content and upgrades will be paid content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord server serves as the primary platform for interacting with our community. Players are encouraged to suggest new features through the 'Suggestions' channel and can vote for upcoming features through the 'Upcoming Features' channel. All the upcoming changes are openly discussed with the community for early feedback. Moreover, development history and the commits can be openly tracked by the community over the 'dev-updates' channel on Discord.”
