What the developers have to say:

PLEASE READ OUR DEV ROAD MAP BELOW. ANIMATED RIDES COMING PHASE 2, COASTERS PHASE 3 Theme Park Studio is still in development and is being released in stages. Please only purchase if you are interested in being involved in the ongoing development of this exciting project. This includes testing, debugging, and supplying new feature requests! We listen to our backers! We have been, and continue to be, a community based project!!!

PLEASE NOTE: Coaster construction is 60 percent complete and will be released in a future stage (see development roadmap below).

Current Status:

As described on our Kickstarter update, this first release basically allows our community to get started designing their parks, creating custom assets, and importing/sharing custom scenery.

Most modules are 70 percent complete. Each will be released in phases, with additional modules unlocked as we polish and add new features requested by the community.

Looking back, the game has branched out way beyond its original design, as we listened to our customer base. We have held focus group meetings with backers, interacted with forum members, and truly set out to build the ultimate theme park sandbox game, shaped by the community.

Below is our current development road map:

The Current Build Includes:

Full featured editor with easy to use transform tools and helper functions.

Dynamic Custom Scenery Builder. Using our build sets, or your own custom sets, create unlimited custom scenery that give your park a unique style. Objects created can saved with embedded meshes, textures, and thumbnails, then shared with friends. When finished simply drop into your library folder and they instantly become part of the custom libraries.

Extensive importing/exporting tools for easy file sharing. We have put extra effort into allowing players to easily share all their amazing designs with simple one click imports! Custom scenery, materials, lights, paths, parks and skies can be easily exported to a single file with an embedded thumbnail. When finished, simply drop into your library folder and they instantly become part of the custom library for easy inclusion into your projects.

Powerful real-time path tools. Please see the videos for a detailed view. This extremely powerful tool allows players to quickly build, layout their park with complex curved paths, walls, bridges, and foundations. You can even attach trees, meshes, or particles effects like torches that will be automatically created, and positioned, for you.

Particle Library - A few particle effects are included in this build, with the full particle editor coming in a future update. Particle effects are 80 percent complete.

Built in object libraries including shops, cafes, castle, and more... Easy placement makes creation a snap:

Full tee library using our proprietary 3d procedural vegetation system with automatic LOD generation.

Flat ride library: PLEASE NOTE: Flat rides are static and just for aesthetics. The animation module is 60 percent complete and will be unlocked in a future update.

Light Library: Place lights easily with fully adjustable properties including color and attenuation;

Terra-forming. Our engine will procedurally paint your landscape based on user specified textures and parameters. 12 textures are used to accomplish the final result, so smooth transitioning is done for you. However we realize some may want to paint paths and since this tech already exists in the engine, we are looking at painting in an upcoming update (based on user request). Other than that, the terra-forming is very complete and powerful. Creating complex landscape is very simple, and easy to use.

Environmental library with customizable properties

Water with customizable properties.

Our next Phases Include
Phase 2:
Custom flat ride designer and animator, with ultra realistic physics. This module is one of our finest. It includes proprietary tools and technologies that allow players to build custom rides from scratch, with amazing realism, using patented technology. This module is currently 60 percent complete.

Phase 3:
Coaster construction. This module quite a lot already finished including on the fly rail type changing, coloring, station linking, rail supports, lifts, cat-walks, and more... However we want to continue to add additional features requested by the community.

Phase 4:
Music streaming with new custom DLC sound tracks.

Phase 5:
Custom train design. This module is extremely powerful and almost fully complete. Please refer to our videos for a detailed look. Here you can create almost any custom train imaginable, including importing your own custom meshes, built by you or downloaded from the community

Phase 6:
Keyframer. This powerful module is 80 percent complete and is for advanced users that want to hand animate objects and physics for that extra detailed touch. Please see video library for a detailed look.

Phase 7:
Particle Effects. Particle effects are 80 percent complete.

Phase 8:
Guest integration with path-finding AI and behavioral trees.”

Coaster Stage 3 Released - Wood Coasters, Audio, Mine Trains, and More!

Hello Everyone,

We are happy to announce a new Theme Park Studio update has been released. This update brings the much anticipated wood coasters and includes:

Wood Coasters and Tiered Supports
Mountain Flyer Coaster
Mine Train Coasters
Coaster Audio
Rail Mirror Functions
Bank Smoothing
Support Texture Switching

In this update, we focused on creating detailed wood coaster rails and supports, while still providing real-time easy construction. For example, as the rails are shaped, the catwalks scale, ties rotate, pivot points auto adjust, and supports auto clip, all in real-time as you build. The end result is amazing looking wood coasters built using a super easy to use real-time editor, allowing you to create the coaster of your dreams.

Amazing coaster audio was also introduced in this update. Now you can become fully immersed in the coaster experience as you hear digitally recorded lifts, hydraulics, brakes, ambient sounds, wheel roars, and more.. Of course, our Oculus Rift support takes immersion to an even further level.

We also added a new set of buttons to the Express Editor that allow you to dynamically add tiers to your support structures and change the textures.

Per customer request, we added new horizontal and vertical mirror buttons to the editor, allowing you to quickly and easily reverse the direction of any new, or pre-built, coaster segment.

Auto smoothing was added to banks for all coaster types.

Optimizations were added to further improve framerate during construction and playback.

Finally, a few new trains were introduced with this update. These include the new wood and mine train rail styles.

We look forward to the next phases and appreciate everyone working with us during early access and helping make Theme Park Studio the ultimate theme park simulator.

“For all the people who want to be an Imagineer , this is the game for you”
Orlando Attractions Magazine

“Theme Park Studio should make a lot of the Roller Coaster Tycoon fans very happy as well as breathing new life into the theme park and roller coaster sim market”

“Theme Park Studio is everything you could want in a theme park simulation game. Roller Coasters, Flat Rides, Theming, the entire package is absolutely fantastic!”

About This Game

Theme Park Studio is a powerful suite of tools that allows players to design, build, and experience stunning amusement parks of their own design. Players can build whatever they can imagine, and then share it online for others to experience.

'Theme Park Studio Professional Edition' is scheduled for use in 2014 by Intamin Amusement Rides to showcase their newest coaster designs.

Theme Park Studio includes Steam Workshop integration. You can now browse through libraries of Parks, Rides, Custom Scenery, and Environments built by the community, without ever leaving the program. There is also a new 'Publish' feature, for uploading your creations directly from Theme Park Studio.

The 'Enter Park' feature adds a new dimension by allowing players to take a virtual tour of community built parks. In addition, the upcoming Oculus Rift support will take the virtual park experience to a whole new level.

Theme Park Studio has been in development for 1 1/2 years and integrates our proprietary game engine and IDE used in the serious games industry.

Please join us, through early access, in continuing this exciting project. Early Access will provide the means to take this title even further, and make Theme Park Studio the ultimate theme park simulator.

Using our rich toolset, players begin by sculpting their terrain, creating lakes, rivers, and raising knolls and mountains. Next, the opening gate is set and paths are placed with our easy path tools. No staggered or sharp edges here, just smoothly curved pathways procedurally built on the fly. With the click of a button, fences are created, stairs are generated, and trees are procedurally placed. Now it's time to build some rides. Coaster creation is both easy and flexible. Coaster rails can be bent, twisted, and shaped into almost any design imaginable. Add brakes, accelerators, tunnels, or have the coaster scream through a custom mesh, like a volcano. There is virtually no limit to what you can come up with. Prefabricated template pieces are also provided as helpers. Want to add a batwing or cobra roll? Simply click the icon and it will drop right in. All the power combined with all the ease of use.

Theme Park Studio broke new ground when we unveiled our custom flat ride designer. This unique module allows to design, build, and invent custom rides. Physics can be applied to objects connected by custom joints. Next, animations are applied to these physics objects. Animation properties include, Torque, Force, Dampen Torque, Dampen Force, Position, Rotation, and Scale. With this functionality the number of flat rides you can create with Theme Park Studio is virtually unlimited! If building custom flat rides is not your thing, no problem, simply select from our library of pre-built rides. In just one click, the ride drops right in to your park, with full physics and animation built in.

Next, fill out your park with restaurants, gift shops, bathrooms, etc.. You can pick from our built in libraries, or download custom meshes and import them for maximum customization. Turn your park into a stunning, picturesque environment with our procedural vegetation libraries. With a simple click drop in trees, hedges, bushes, and flower beds, that subtly sway in the wind. Using our particle effects engine, add fountains, fireworks, smoke, and torches for the final touch. Finally, open the park to guests and watch the peeps tour your park and ride your custom coasters and flat rides. You can also take a first person virtual tour through your park, and experience your own rides. Theme Parks are easily saved and archived. You can upload them to one of the Theme Park Studio coaster exchange sites that will be coming out soon. Theme Park Studio is a product built for the community where players can truly build the amusement park of their dreams.

Theme Park Studio features include:

- Steam Workshop Integration. Players can now simply browse through libraries of Parks, Rides, Custom Scenery, and Environments, and with a couple clicks, become immersed in a virtual theme park world! You can also publish your custom built parks directly to Steam Workshop to share with the Steam community!

- Custom coaster creation. Players can bend, pull, and stretch coasters into any design they wish. Prefabricated templates are provided as helpers, if desired

- Custom Flat Rides. Design your own flat ride from the ground up, or select from our pre-built ride library.

- Park guests: After opening your park, watch park guests (peeps) tour your theme park and hop on your coasters and flat rides.

- Mesh importing: Build your own environmental objects and import them for maximum customization.

- Particle effects, including fire, smoke, fountains, fireworks, and weather effects. Our particle effects module is very versatile, allowing the player to create a wide range of effects. Particles can have triggers for setting up shows or like coasters splashing through water.

- Landscaping: Import your own height maps and textures to create stunning landscapes, or custom sculpt one of your own design.

- Water: Control water parameters like speed, level, color, and ripple size.

- Vegetation: Our engine features an advanced vegetation solution. Our proprietary technology allows players to build everything from grass to elaborate oaks. Trees are procedurally generated and can be controlled by custom wind and turbulence settings. This technology has been integrated into Theme Park Studio.

- Oculus Rift Support: Due to overwhelming requests for this support, we are proud to announce this cutting edge technology will be included in all versions of Theme Park Studio.

Very easy to build your coaster. The dragging and of the globes attached to the track while holding the shift alt or ctrl keys works great! While I didn't need to read any sort of manual or tutorial to get started, the depth and detail of all the options will make you want to learn everything the editor has to offfer. Also it is worth noting - you should be able to tell already - this isn't a "Game" in the sense that the tycoons are.

As a Roller Coaster Fan I really like Theme Park Studio.

I'M currently creating my buildings, which I want to use in blender and it is very easy to import this creations into TPS. Of course you have to take some topics into acount, but when you have imported this models, it is fantastic to walk through this models and watch them from all sides.

As this "walking" in blender is not possible in a real time walk, I'm wondering how TPS could do this. Great work! It is also very easy to build your roller couster around this buildings and to drive with this coaster and to see the fantastic world you built by your own.

Of course TPS is currently not ready and there are still much things to do, but it is great to see the game growing with every release. The community is really helpful and I like to share my models within the workshop.

For me it is essential, to start already know and I thank the developer for that, because creating realistic buildings needs time. This is exactly the time I need to create my building and to learn in parallel the usage of Theme Park Studio. When TPS is then ready for release, I hope, that my buildings are also ready, to easily add them to my park and walk virtually through it.

But please don't expect a game which is already finalized. It is currently not. Take the advantage to include your ideas and be part of the creation of this game. I think it is really worht the time!

Best regards

Theme Park Studio - 7.5 / 10
This is a great game so far, however it has its issues. The issues come from the game simply still being in development, so things will surely get better down the road. The coasters stage is nice, and it can be very easy to design a realistic coaster, but be sure to take time to explore all parts of the editor (the more you learn at the start, the faster you can make a nice coaster). The editor is easy to use, simply place, drag, and bend! I will update my review as I further explore the game.

I recommend this game to those using No Limits and No Limits 2, as the editors have lots of similarities! RCT3 users like myself may find the game difficult to use at first, but put 30 or 40 hours into it like I have, and it will be simple to use.

Theme Park Studio is well on the way to becoming a great way to build your own theme park. Even though it is in Early Access, there is a lot you can do right now. These are the phases of development that have been released so far:

Phase 1 - A dynamic custom scenery builder, Importing/exporting tools for custom content, Path tools that allows users to custom build paths fast and easy, A few particle effects (more to come later), built in object library - simply select and place, a vegetation library, Flat rides (in this phase they are static (will be animated in phase 2), Easy terraforming to create complex landscapes, An enviromental library with customizable properties, water with customizable properties.

Phase 2 - Custom flat ride designer and animator, with ultra realistic physics. It includes tools that allow players to build custom rides from scratch, with amazing realism.

Phase 3 - Roller Coasters, Easily build roller coasters and customize them just about any way you want.

Phase 6 was released out of order with phase 2 because it allowed for custom flat ride design animation.

Here is a screen shot of my new park that was done with only those phase listed above:

The phases yet to come:

Phase 5 - Custom train design. Here you can create almost any custom train imaginable, including importing your own custom meshes, built by you or downloaded from the community

Phase 7 - Particle Effects (more coming).

Phase 8 - Guest integration with path-finding AI and behavioral trees.

I highly recommend it! Get it now at this reasonable price and help with the development or wait until the price goes up upon the final completion. Either way, get it!

This game/simulator is UNbeliavable. For an early access game, this is impressive and has passed and exceeded by far my expectaions. I can't believe what this has come out to be. Here are the pros and cons:

+AMAZING graphics
+variety of roller coasters (more coming)
+variety of flat rides (more coming)
+terrain tools
+lighting effects
+EXTREMELY customizable pathways
+fencing and sidewalk options on pathways
+Surprisingly easy controls
+oculus rift support
+Can ride rollercoasters in 1st and 3rd person
+WELL worth the money
+steam workshop-you can create and import items into you're park
+many more-I could easily go on. and on, and on

-Buggy controls
-sometimes random fps drops
-sometimes crashes randomly (save you're work!)
-no "undo button" (would LOVE TO SEE THIS!)
-No fullscreen-Always in windowed mode
-Sound needs improvment. During the lifthill, it sounds like an airplane is about to take off...

So, it comes down to the final question: Do I reccommend this game? HANDS DOWN YES!!! This is the BEST value for what you get and show them that you love this and tell them that you like what their doing by BUYING this game. If you don't have this game, you're missing out...seriously. I'd also suggest buying it from their kickstarter extension because it's a better value-that's what I did:

Here is are some videos of me playing it:

One of the greatest Games ever was and still is the RollerCoaster Tycoon Trilogy.
RCT3 banned me on my PC because I really love RollerCoasters of all Kind.
To build them and to take a ride on my creations (since RCT3) was great!

BUT RCT was yesterday, TODAY is "Theme Park Studio" from Pantera Entertainment!

TPS is a Early Access Game that means the Game isn't finished yet and it also means that you don't have to wait till Full Release (which will cost more than now), you can buy it right now and play it and if you want, help the developers to make it better and better!

The whole Set of Tools is really powerful you will seek for that in thousand other games but you will not find them!!! Some are very easy and some are more advanced!

The WorldTool is great. Build your world with Brushes and paste everything on it (Trees, bushes, flowers) you can also search for a heightmap and load it into TPS! With one click you have the "ground" of (maybe) Europe or Africa or just a little part of our World you can "play" with!

Build Paths and let them go thru your Park like a silly snake! And STOP the Path with just hitting ESC! Make your path small or wide, let trees, benches, lanterns etc. be added automaticly!

Build finished Flat-Rides or build your own with different kind of shapes and let this shapes rotate, move and so on with powerful animation Tools!

The Coaster-Editor is really awesome! Choose your Coastertype and start to build the craziest Coaster ever! My personal favorites since the finishing of the complete Phase 3 is the Mine Train and the Wooden Coasters!!!

Every part you set into your world can be moved, resized, rotated and saved for later needs in your librarys!
Let your library grow and grow and build YOUR ultimate Theme Park that you ever wanted to have!

The ONLY thing that is NOT possible in your Park is BECAUSE YOU did't imagine that!
People with the biggest imagination (or craziest) will have the best Parks :)

Everything you need to do is to back up those Guys at Pantera Entertainment directly on Steam or give them back up on kickstarter (where you have more options on being part of this Project and also to get the Platinum Edition)
Belive me: You will say: EVERY cent I paid for it is worth!

(Sorry for my english but I am living in Germany, so if you find spelling mistakes you can have them, put them in your pocket and save them for poor times :) )

Fantastic Game!!!

Lot's of Flexibility with Coaster Building
No / Optional Grid allows for smooth inclines, declines, turns, and banks
Impressive Custom Scenery Features

Very, Very unintuitive. Even somthing as simple as placing paths can become a challenge
UI needs a lot of work

Overall, I reccomend this game. It's very enjoyable, despite that it is difficult to enjoy. However, this game is on Early Access, so my dissapointments will probably be fixed. It is safe to say that I will be revisiting this game for years to come!

Crashing Simulator 2014 is an amazing representation of what it is like to have your... oh wait, this is Theme Park Studio... Well the game crashes so often, I thought it was a crashing simulator!

Okay, let's be real. Theme Park Studio is really cool, but it crashes soooo often. If they fix all the bugs that cause the crashes, this would be a great game! For now, save often! There is a lot of work still needed on this game, but I think it will turn out quite well. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Rollercoaster Tycoon or any game similar. The graphics are also pretty good for a game in this genre.

Really good and fun game!

But it has a several problems:
The game crashes a lot, I can't open my saved park before it crashes.
The sounds are repeating and sometimes i can't click the nodes.

The lags must be removed!

Some more coaster types and track presets should also be added.

For its current stage in development, this is a pretty nifty peice of software. The path system is pretty neat, allowing you to pretty much make any shape. The coaster system is pretty decent, but it needs a little work. From what I've heard, this is already happening. The guests look very realistic and have many little details. The game has a few bugs here and there but that's ecpected for an alpha game. Overall, I would reccomend this to people who love to create amusement parks.

I am a long time fan of Theme Park games. I've bought them all. A while ago, I found a new piece of software called Theme Park Studio and backed it. I enjoyed the sotware, but knew that there was a long way to go till it was mature and 'retail ready', so I have been patient while I watched it be steadily developed. I have also bought the competition and never seem to play with it much, perhaps due to difficulty or maybe it's just me.

It had been a while since I actually used TPS, but after receiving a newsletter email with the recent changes and additions, I got really excited over the features and decided to play with it some more. I updated the software on STEAM and could not believe how COOL Theme Park Studio has become. I literally created a full-blown coaster in 5 minutes. Other coaster simulation software I own would take me HOURS to create anything useable. More importantly, this software was FUN to use. I could not believe how easy, yet powerful it has become. Before I knew it, I was putting a station in place, adding a lift hill, loops, corckscrews, batwings and all kinds of hills and dips. I decided I wanted a long stretch to go into a canyon and a minute or two later, I terraformed a complete canyon that looked excellent.

If it's this good now, I cannot IMAGINE how good it will be when it's officially released. I am so glad I backed this software. Laying down flat rides, creating paths and buildings is really quite easy and always fun to do. STEAM workshop allows me to download objects, rides and parks, but I have not had much time to really delve into it.

My 14 year old is absolutely NUTS about TPS. He plays RCT3 all the time, but has begun switching to TPS because he can create coasters easily and minutes later gets to 'ride' what he has created. He loves watching the people on the coaster ride his coaster.

My son and I highly recommend Theme Park Studio for the young and old alike. Just have patience while the developer works out bugs, adds features and new content. I think the two greatest aspects of the software is a thriving community of enthusiasts and constant development from a obviously hard-working team.

Even though this game is in it's very early stages, this game has grabbed my attention. If you like to build, if you like to design your own rides from scratch (literally from scratch), and design your park in this huge map - if you love to give detail to your design, then Theme Park Studio is for you. Like I said, even though this game is in it's very early stages, there are so much to get your started, and to grab your attention. I found that the developers of TPS will listen to their customers about issues they find, or take consideratioin of their ideas - which I think is fantastic. I even conversed with them on Facebook. Every so often they will release move of the game in phases. So if you like to create your own theme park from scratch, and really get into the designing of the rides, then Theme Park Studios is for you.
