Paradox are massive Jews for charging so much for the huge amount of DLC that should already be in the game.

Fortunately with the DLC I bought I can conquer Jerusalem and purge the land of heresy and begin the Christian ruled Jerusalem of old.
10/10 it's pretty good if you've got the shekels for it.

I can understand that some people may have been disappointed in this expansion, especially after the Old Gods, but it's worth getting. Nothing like sending a wayward heir off to join the Templars, or saving the kingdom with a quick emergency loan.

If I complain that Israel is boring, does that make me Anti-Semetic?

In all seriousness, restoring the Kingdom of David is a feat, that is no doubt. But other than the Crusades for Jerusalem, nothing really seems to change. The flavor events dont seem to realized that Judiasm has a home. Passover still makes refrence to the fact that we will oneday be in Jerusalem, despite the fact everybody is currently IN Jerusalem.

But aside from the Khazars and the Nubians, not a whole lot of Judiasm is around, other than the ability to borrow 300 sheckles from the Jews then immediatly drop kick them out of your country. Which carrys a penalty of 50 random techpoints every once in a while. Or you can not do that and have a Jewish counciller which might occasionally give you 50 tech points.

The other features are essentially flavor for the various denominations of Christianity. I'd consider it for purchase if that sounds reasonable, not exactly for playing or experiancing Israeli politics 1000 years in the making.

Really good expansion content if you're into the religious aspects of the game. Makes every religion a little bit more interesting, and adds Jewish characters to the game. Note, if you don't have Charlemagne or the Old Gods expansion the already limited pool of Jewish characters you can play shrinks down to almost nothing. Really enjoy the content from this expansion.

Just really isn't worth the price you pay for it. Not enough content added, or large enough nations to really justify the price. If you don't have the ruler creator dlc you can only play as one tiny tiny little nation surrounded by tons of people who want to kill you (and, in my experience, they do near the beginning of the game). Might be worth it during a summer sale, but I really wouldn't recommend paying 10 dollars for a single tiny little nation.

(By the by, I HAVE played this for a while, Steam deletes the hours played for me whenever I turn steam off for some reason .-.)

Runs with a suggestion of the "Khazar origin theory" as historically accurate while also including anti-Popes and Jewish merchants who charge excessive interest. Everything provocative one could want in DLC for Crusader Kings II.

I played as the only Jewish nation in the game and after several incursions in Arab lands I am constantly at war with my neighbors, wars I always win.

10/10 Israel simulator.

This is 3rd most important DLC to pick up for CK2 (after Legacy of Rome, and The Old Gods)

This DLC gives you a significant advantage when playing. You can borrow 300g from the Jews, then expel them for 200g more. At the start of the game you instantly have 500g.

Bishop/Cardinal mechanics are basicly worthless.
-Biggest problem I have is that the Pope is always perfect, and all your bishop vassals will pay tax to him.
-Pope will give you money regardless. Whether you cared to give vote him or ignored the mechanic altogether. Basicly New Pope = gimme that money. Leave your councillor bishop improving relations with pope, all game. You will make 5000g easy.
-minor actual control over the Papal state. Dynasty member will give you the same amount as non-dynasty with the same traits.

Religious events are basicly 30gold for 30 piety, and 20% chance of drunkard or 30% +1learning.

Jewish characters could be fun to play, but you can't borrow and expel Jews for 500g... making them weaker then any state in the game with a "modern/reformed" religion

The meter does not accuratly display the correct level of difficulty while playing as Jewish IMO. It should be all the way up. You have no friends or other Jews anywhere close. While the ability to challenge yourself by playing as a Jew is awesome, and the added options this expansion offers are nice, I can not justifiy for the amount it costs to purchase. Wait for a steam sale at 85% off!

I have to pay money to play as Jews. There's something profoundly meta about this, sublime/10.

I recommend this just for that demon spawn event.
