The game brings a fresh new take on the city building/management genre by introducing many RPG features. In Towns you manage a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?

Towns v14e (5th v14 patch) has been released

Towns v14e has been released.

As we did with Towns v14d, we released this build even if it have small changes. Basically we added the copy of pile/container configurations to all the other piles with a single click.

Towns v14d (4th v14 patch) has been released

Have to say that the v14d still needs more and better tutorials, but I decided to release it mostly because the fixes it solves.

About This Game

The game brings a fresh new take on the city building/management genre by introducing many RPG features.

In Towns you manage a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?

Both the RPG and strategic aspects will be fleshed out over a series of sprawling dungeons.

Attract travelling heroes that will independently explore the dungeons below, fight off monsters, gain levels, special skills and collect the best loot they can find in order to clear the land of all evil!

Craft unique weapons, trade with exotic items, obtain randomized loot, set up devious death traps and build a settlement capable of holding back the forces that come up from the depths!

Do not bother buying this broken game. The developers have jump shipped and it will never be completed. Towns is riddled with a massive amount of bugs. Now it seems it will not ever get fixed.

This game has been OFFICIALLY ABANDONED, as of 7 May 2014. This is not opinion or trolling, but straight from the developers. Development of this game has been cancelled, and no refunds are being given. The game went through Steam Greenlight prior to Early Access existing, which is the only reason it doesn't have an EA tag on the store page. The game is very much unfinished, and will NOT be completed.

There is still fun to be had, but you will have more with Gnomoria. Play that game instead.

Not recommended.

Authors took the money and ran.

Oh, they're back? Well, good - there's a lot of fixing to do before this will be up to snuff.

Oh, no, now they're "burned out" and "lost interest".

Vaporware, Rip-off, Con-Artists, Scammers, Abandonware I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASE OF THIS "GAME."

Update: Now with a New and Improved, Shill-run Forums!! Yes that's right! Get a completely unbiased opinion, so long as it's approved of by the new mod!! From bad to worse, this game REEKS of dishonesty. Stay away!!

The devs became "burned out?!" Of course, they got that way AFTER their game was sold... unfinished. Hope they enjoyed the 2 PLUS Million Dollars they made. I will never again buy from ANYONE who was involved in the making of this "game" . Rip-off artists, and scammers. They KNOWINGLY sold this game unfinished. This game was NOT an Early Access Game, but "realeased as done." They should refund the cash paid for the game, and remove it from Steam. Warning: DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! And BE WARY OF TOWNS TWO:The Con Continues
