Fireburst. I got this on a bundle some time ago, and I gave it a shot. Very, very bad decision. Imagine a game that has horrible optimization, lack of graphical options, bad controls and performance, lots of bugs and the lack of controller support (the K+M controls are obnoxious nevertheless). Now, I could be describing a bad PC port but, guess what, this game is a PC exclusive. Horrific. The game is about races in a post-nuclear world, and make games like Post Apocalyptic Mayhem (which are not good) look excellent. 2 broken achievements, dead multiplayer, dreadful campaign. If you have this on your library you will want to keep him there untoutchable, rusting in peace. 34/100.

This game was good despite the reviews. I especially like games with local multiplayer the only problem is that it dose not support Linux but all the same it's a destructive car racing game. Awsome!!

Fireburst is what happens when one guy creates a game which attempts to crowbar all the good features of Burnout and PAM, and instead, ends up being the worst of both worlds, needless camera shake paired with a huge reliance upon boost AND draw distance in order to get anywhere.

game is broken, supper glitchy and lacks polish. its pretty much a poor clone of motor storm with boost causing the other racers to start dieing around you, which makes things easy because half the time the boost glitches and becomes unlimited, causing you to auto win.

Probably one of the laziest games I've ever come to play... Gameplay is sloppy, graphics are not that good, characters are just painful stereotypes, none of them are really funny, and they just come out as annoying, tracks don't match the gamestyle of the game, there's too much going on wherever you go, so it's hard to keep track of where you're supposed to go.
It's a mess...

Don't buy this game. Game itself is not bad, it's ok. But, 2 achievements are bugged and multiplayer mod is dead. Developer don't give a fu about this game anymore, so it's pretty deep in gravejard...

This is actually a surprisingly good game. The track design is very nice. There's an array of cars and drivers, which you select separately. Each car and driver has their own stats, and they add together for some customization. Each car has a different paint-job depending on the driver as well.

The game's main gimmick is heat. There's a strong risk-vs-reward element, and it's all about managing heat. When your car overheats, it blows up. When you use boost, your heat gauge rises. As you boost you also cause one of a few flame effects, depending on your car. Some cars leave a trail of flame when boosting, some have a ring of fire, etc. These are your weapons, since any opponents caught in your flames take on more heat themselves.

Any water on the track will cool you down if you drive through it, be it blue water barrels, puddles, waterfalls, or skimming the surf.

No idea how well multiplayer works, haven't seen anyone online to try it with.

I can see this becoming a sleeper hit.

Fireburst is actually one of the few destructive racing games that I really enjoy. All the other bad things people are saying about this (besides the multiplayer) are either lies or they aren't happening to me. My overall rating for this is 8.5 because besides the multiplayer, the game is so much fun. The way you scorch your enemies is so satisfying and epic. If you have a slow computer, the launcher for this game is great. You can either have high graphics, or high performence, or even a medium. I do recommend this to anyone who likes destructive car games, or just destructive stuff in general :)

Fireburst is a competent racing game that doesn't really add anything new to the genre, but hey it's a racing game and for that reason alone it is probably of interest to racing or action minded gamers. The Steam Overlay and widescreen modes work, and controller support is included by default. Overall the game does not try to do anything new, the flame-on ability of your car essentially allowing insta-kill collisions doesn't really add anything exciting to the mix. However the level design is competent and there are a variety of characters and cars to choose from, and given the bargain price this game should be considered before purchasing a full price racing title. In summary, the game is slightly better than Post Apocalyptic Mayhem, but not quite as good as the Flatout series, so I recommend it only for the racing afficianado who has to have his hands on something new.

I usually hate everything related to cars, movies, games, whatever, i hate the subject because everyone is obssesed with them, but this game... i love it, it's not about cars at all, sure it's about car racing but what i see when i play it is only fun and the spirit of competition. This is a badass game, and this is coming from a FPS fanatic who only loves a small amount of indies. Get it! It's awesome!

If you're looking for excitement and suspense around every corner then this is the game to play. I love how graphic everything is and the water and scenery are very realistic. I personally, like to cause as much destruction as possible while racing so this is perfect for me. You can choose to play on your own and battle challenges to get unlocks such as better cars or you can play multiplayer and have fun that way. I would definitely recommend this game and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it and always go back for more.
