'Early Access for "NecroNomNomNom" is our open invitation to you, brave player, to plunge headfirst into a world brimming with eldritch charm and tentacle-filled romance. As you begin your courtship with these Lovecraftian lovelies, we'd love for you to share your feedback and thoughts with us. The eldritch beauty of Early Access is that it allows us to build a close-knit community of daring souls like yourself who can help us navigate the cosmic horror and wonder that is inter-dimensional dating.

Therefore now we extend a tentacled hand to delve into a realm of cosmic intrigue and Lovecraftian romance. We are guided by the eerie glow of six eldritch stars, each representing an integral GOAL of our unearthly Early Access expedition:

  • Player Feedback: We value your voice. Your thoughts, experiences, and suggestions are key to refining the gameplay, the narrative arcs, and the overall player experience. Your voice echoes through the cosmic void and your counsel is as crucial as a forbidden incantation.

  • Game Mechanics: We aim to finetune the balance between intuitive controls, challenging gameplay, and immersive storylines to ensure a satisfying journey into our eldritch universe. This goes well beyond the arcane arts of UI design - and permeates much, much deeper into the breadth of the dialog. For example: balancing the difference between key decisions in the plot development with additional story branches, versus leaving some aspect more amorphous to allow you to project your own cosmic horror into the experience as you personalize it for yourself.

  • Story Development: Our goal is to expand on our narrative, introducing new Lovecraftian characters, weaving intricate plot threads, and unveiling hidden mysteries within our universe. We endeavor to spin tales of the unknowable, introducing fresh Lovecraftian entities, weaving intricate plot threads, and unlocking hidden truths within our universe.

  • Community Building: Beyond the game itself, we aim to cultivate a vibrant community of players, where shared experiences, theories, and Lovecraftian lore discussions are encouraged and celebrated. Beyond the game itself, we dream of a congregation of players in the Steam Community Hub, their shared experiences and theories forming a web of intrigue, a living testament to Lovecraftian lore.

  • Technical Stability: Our commitment is to deliver a game that is not only engaging but technically sound, but optimized for performance to manifest a game as stable as ancient monoliths. Any and all bugs shall be hunted down and cast into the void.

  • Content Expansion: We plan to regularly roll out additional content, including characters, plots, menu choices and locales, keeping the game fresh and the Lovecraftian horror and charm alive. Three complete dates to start the journey, increasing to nine to wrap up Early Access, and even more content thereafter.

'A precise timeline is as elusive as the shifting form of a Shoggoth! Our plan is to bring new eldritch creatures into the dating pool on a monthly basis until we have at least nine mind-bending entities ready to wine and dine you. The Early Access period will conclude once we've managed to introduce enough wondrous creatures and have sufficiently incorporated player feedback to polish their narratives.'

'The Early Access version already offers a variety of rich narrative threads, each brimming with Lovecraftian intrigue. Beyond the 9 Early Access dates, we aim to increase the roster to at least 12 mind-bending creatures, with deeper layers to the cosmic lore, resulting in a game that will truly have players questioning their sanity - all in the name of love, of course.'

Enjoy a quaint evening with Lil'y, a Deep One from the enigmatic town of Innsmouth. Engage with the frosty enigma of Phobotho, a Shoggoth from Antarctica, and experience the unknowable charm of Y'vorre, a creature of unspeakable mystery (nobody really knows what Y'vorre is, or where it's from). Each date offers a unique narrative thread, a tantalizing dance between love and terror that you never knew you were missing.'

'Absolutely! Early birds get the worm—or in this case, the eyeball-covered tentacle. The game will be priced lower during the Early Access stage as our way of saying thank you for diving into the murky depths with us. Once we release the full version with an extended line-up of potential paramours and twisted storylines, the price will increase to reflect the fuller, more horrifying experience.'

Overview:

NecroNomNomNom: Eldritch Horror Dating is a Visual Novel where you go on blind dates with legendary creatures from Lovecraftian lore. Dinner is served in the underwater corpse-city at the Café R'lyeh. Meet a Deep One for the first time and get to know each other while enjoying the nightmare cornucopia of delicacies and share fun anecdotes while you look for love and try not to go insane.

Gameplay unfolds over a dinner conversation, where the choices you make have consequences to the love connection with your date, and also to your sanity. If you have a keen eye for detail, you will pick up on the subtle clues that your date has mentioned. This will help you explore additional areas of conversation that can lead to a lasting love, and help avoid the date spiraling down into inescapable madness!

Each new date is a chance to find love or madness with another creature - each one has a randomized personality profile that is generated each time you play, and the menu items also change with the tides of chaos, so no two dates are ever the same!
