If you can get this game on sale, then I'd recommend it, otherwise, it's not really worth it.

As a couple of other reviews said, this game is not just a hidden object game, the hidden object component is optional.
However, the game has no replay-ability (unless you really like hidden object games). You can unlock an endless mode, but it is specifically hidden object.

The core gameplay takes place over the course of 30 games, and in the different difficulties you can either not compete against other (npc) "Pickers", or increasingly difficult "Pickers" in order to make the most money.
It's a fairly interesting game, and (as previously stated) the hidden object function is optional. In each location there is a hidden object mini-game, which you can play for a free item to sell. But, though it can be played in each subsequent visit to a location (once per day), once you've located an item on the list you it's gone, and can't be grabbed again, so each time the mini-game gets easier. And on my second playthrough of the game, I realized that the items are always asked for in the same order each time, and the items are always in the exact same spot, so once you've done it once, you can do it really easily again, unless you don't have a very good memory.

When you go to a location to find things to sell, you can choose to get the items apraised (a limited number of times, for a fee), but the value of the items doesn't change from game to game, meaning that if you take note of the value, you never actually have to bother getting them appraised again.

In fact, the only thing that seems to change is what the "Hot Item" will be that day, and which items will sell in your store on a given day.

If you can get it on sale, it's fairly worth it, you can play it through in only a few hours, but for the $3 I paid for it, that meant that it was roughly .50 cents an hour worth of entertainment, which is about the same as going to an arcade.
It could probably be played again later, once you've forgotten the prices/locations of everything.

Ideal para sacar el verdadero judio revendedor que llevamos dentro. Además es adictivo y muy divertido el especular con objetos antiguos, llegando incluso a restaurarlos para aumentarles el valor para venderlos directamente o bien subastarlos :)

I went in thinking this is a HOG (Hidden Object Game) but nope. Basically you go around the map visiting different places to find items. You can simply pick up items that are lying around or choose to do a HOG scene (optional) which nets you a free item. Items you selected can then be purchased (or haggled) from the owners and all of them have their own categories. Getting all your picks from the day's hot item categories nets you a cash bonus. All these items are then placed in your item shop. You get to price items, list them, haggle with customers, auction off stuff etc. The fancy thing here is that some items can be combined with others to form a neat combi that sells for a huge profit (like 95% of the time) eg, jukebox + records.

It doesn't sound too bad on paper but in reality when you are playing, the duration is too long. Every game is 30 days and each day you visit locations, pick items, buy and sell etc. The repetition is simply too much and imo it would have been better at like 15 days max. You also get to collect keys while in game and upon collecting 40 of them (out of 60), the unlimited HOG mode is unlocked and that perhaps extends the game length of this title...just by a little. Overall, not a bad game (nice ideas!) but too repetitive for the most of us.

Get it cheep, not much replayability. But fun for a couple run-throughs.

This game is awesome! It's KINDA like an hidden object game, but goes far enough beyond that to create it's own genre, really...It's worlds better than any of the hidden object games out there that have a 'story' to piece the puzzles together.
This game managed to entertain me while playing on all of my desires to micro-manage, collect, achieve, improve, find things, make the best deals. Definately 2 thumbs up from me. Is it CSGO? No...not that kinda game. Is it awesome? MOST definately. I can't wait for any DLC's that come out.

I really have started to enjoy this game more every time I play it. You are not just 'running around the country' collecting random items to sell for top dollar at your own store. It is more like one of those old seek and find picture books you could find in a library at an elementary school. Wonderful graphics, not too hard to see every detail on most objects. Also, you can select the object you are interested in to read a tiny bit more about it, as well as see how it looks. Bartering is rather easy (depending on the person's mood and momentary mindset, of course), and if you don't want to wait for items to sell in the shop, you can appraise them & send them off to auction! A good concept and a simple game to wind down with at the end of the day.

Pickers is a Hidden Object Game. What that means is that it's essentially a point and click adventure game without the adventure part. Instead it's simply about finding the right part of the screen to click on. You play as a pair of antique pickers that travel the US looking for hidden treasure in a bunch of predetermined locations.

The gameplay happens in two parts the first of which is the buying of items where you pick a location to go to and then click on various objects on the screen to add them to your cart and then haggle for price. Most of this is either spam-clicking the screen trying to find little hidden items and simply knowing which items are valued at what price.

The second part is when you have bought the items you take them back to your shop where you can combine certain items, restore others, have your items valued for a fee and then put them up for sale in your shop trying to make the most money within the game's time frame.

Unfortunately the gameplay boils down to mainly knowing in advance where the valuable items are hidden and what they sell for so you can make the leaderboards and it's all very simple and monotone. I suppose it's a genre I am simply not that fond of personally but I really have trouble seeing how a game like this would appeal to anyone.

Personal Rating: 6/10

Well, I didn't expect to actually play this game, but I did and to be quite honest I enjoyed the small portion of playtime I had. The graphics are neat and the concept of the game is quite a new and interesting idea. It reminds me of shows like the American Pickers or Pawn Stars, or Youtubers like The Game Chasers.

However, the music in this game isn't really the best. I know it's a small point to make out, almost nitpicking as a result, but it's practically the most annoying thing in the game. Another thing I realised early on is that it's very difficult to make a loss in profit, I even TRIED but I apparently got a jackpot item which sold for $9,000. The game does have a limited number of locations to visit and the sessions only last for 30 Days. Which is reasonable, but it doesn't take long to get through it and then get bored. I tried out the game on Zen mode where there isn't any competition because I wanted to see what functions the game has and this is what I found out in the process.

It's a point and click adventure without the adventure part. Especially when you have to find all the items. It reminds me of a game released on PC. Coronation Street and the Missing HotPot Recipie. The same two to three things over and over again. Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable, but it turns into a pattern and not a good pattern at that.

For a business management, casual, hidden item game it's surprisingly addictive and fun. Even if I didn't pick this up in a bundle I'd say it's worth buying standalone. Plenty of items to find, combine and sell. Also with varying degrees of difficulty and a leader board it's got an average replay value if you just want to pick up and play.

This could be a lot of fun, if I could see and work with the inventory. I've only been able to make my inventory come up once after I re-downloaded. The first time I downloaded this game it didn't download the inventory boxes at all. The 2nd time I downloaded the game, I saw the inventory boxes for the first time, however it only appeared for a short time and was gone again. I don't know how I'm supposed to play the game when the key inventory is not available.

There are also locations where I can't see what's available to purchase. Half the time if I get the little eyeball, all i see is an empty circle of barbed wire, ????

I'm playing on an apple (a new one), I don't know why I should be having this much trouble. The game is incomplete, so they've taken my money, although not a lot of it, but I didn't receive a playable game. That sucks!

Honestly the game is not what I had hoped for. I was looking to have a game that allowed me a strong capitalist kind of approach. Let me bargin, set prices, treasure hunt. Now admitedly the game has this, but it's very limited.

The Npc's often want high prices for stuff whether it's garbage or not, you have almost no choice but to piss them off when bargining, which the tutorial recomends you don't do.

You can set prices, but it's an akward system and you have to spend money for extra space very quickly in the game, also the price setting it's self is just a pain. Futhermore, you have no refence of anything so you also are forced to spend money on an"expert opinion."

As for teasure hunting, you basically have a lot of repeat items. By the 3rd games you've seen most of it. Lousy replay value. Everything was unlocked by the end of my first game, even though I only came in 2nd or 3rd.

Thanksfully I paid a sale price but even then I'd not recommend it. So many things that coulda, shoulda, woulda....

Pickers is a hidden-object game that also combines a bit of memorization with simulated auction strategy. There is also an inventory system used largely for allowing you to combine pieces into one auction item.

In terms of replayability, after beating the game, I suspect that most might give it another play-through or a partial play-through and be done with it. Once you learn how to get ahead in the auction game, it really devolves into a pure hidden-object game.

The game probably should have implemented a drive-time to locations which would have added a bit more difficulty but would have increased the lasting appeal. Adding a time-management aspect would have sweetened the reward for knowing where to go.

7 of 10, and a high quality time-waster. I am not a hidden object game fan, but enjoyed this game for at least a good 8 hours or so.

The Mac version is a truly awful, unplayable port that shouldn't be sold. It's broken all over the place. From the store where you sell things (you can't see your items, and have to randomly click on the shelves, incurring charges as you end up "buying" extra shelf space in the process), to the auctions (can't properly set your bids or see them), to the stores where you go to buy your discoveries (any time you click on a zoomed-in area, you're just given a circle of razor wire and have to randomly click within it without seeing anything to perhaps get items, and perhaps not). It's not a great game to begin with, but all of the glitches make the game extremely frustrating and unplayable, and the publishers are essentially stealing the money of anyone purchasing this game for Mac by not providing them with a functional product. Stay away.

Want a game you can be ashamed of playing, yet still have enough fun to justify the price tag? This is it. This is /literally/ the dumbest thing I've ever spent 100 hours doing.
