What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Enclosure in its current state is great for players to be to introduced to its environment. There's a ton of room for additions and new gameplay features. To release the game as early access would help support Game Caboose in creating games, sooner than later. The players can purchase The Enclosure in early access at a discount, and have it for when the game is further developed and likely more expensive. Early access is a great way to see a game evolve.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 months to a year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Enclosure's gameplay, artwork, sound design, and progression are all capable of exceeding expectation. With time, the game can be developed to include a lot more features. In its current state, its almost an arcade game, where players are fighting endlessly to survive and improve their hi-score. Additional updates will include new weapons, better graphics, more game-modes to play on, and online multiplayer. Game Caboose plans to add a lot of new ways to fight zombies, and more interactive environments that immerse players into The Enclosure's world.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In its current state, players are limited to one game-mode and fighting endlessly to survive and improve their hi-score.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Enclosure's price will not change when it leaves early access, though the early access discount will be removed, or lowered.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Blog posts and developer updates, gameplay videos and screenshots, all for the player from the developer.”

About This Game

Zombie arcade game! Fight endlessly against a horde! Rack up points and play to pass your high score!

The Enclosure is in Early Access!

Early Access means that the game is going to be updated a lot before it's final version.

You can expect The Enclosure to run the same as it did in Early Access, with added features, a multiplayer online, and updated artwork.

Game Caboose plans to add more game-modes before the end of the year.

The Enclosure is currently limited to single-player.
Online multiplayer will be one of the first updates included.

Planned: Traditional Survival - Scavenge through the The Enclosure's forest environment for natural sources of food and water, defending yourself with crafted items and shelter.

Planned: Competitive Elimination - Set off into a randomly generated arena to compete for weapons and food, choosing between hunting or hiding. Last player standing wins.

Planned: Online Endless Waves - Revisit The Enclosure's initial game-mode with friends or solo and defend against waves of zombies, collecting loot and unlocking new areas.

Planned: Dedicated Servers - We're hopeful of adding servers for players to connect in The Enclosure in the safest way. These servers would vary in game-mode and allow every player to experience multiplayer. Players will have the ability to host their own servers as well.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Attacking the zombies requires aiming and clicking to hit them with a ranged weapon. Zombies are spawned in multiples and chase the player, causing the player to fear for their life. If zombies get close enough to attack the player, they can lose health and be killed by the zombies. Players should be aware of the violence and killing.
