Miksi Early Access?

Early Access gives players the opportunity to enjoy and help improve Battle Map Studio during development. The player/developer relationship is very important to the growth and success of Battle Map Studio as it gives players the ability to play and provide feedback on the tools and features and allows me to observe and react to how players use and want to use Battle Map Studio.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

I plan to have Battle Map Studio as Early Access as long as necessary. When I'm confident that the tools and features are robust and polished enough for a full release, I'll transition Battle Map Studio out of Early Access.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

I expect to add features as I develop Battle Map Studio in Early Access and continue to add features after the full version is released.

In addition to its current features, the full version of Battle Map Studio will give you the ability to:
  • ✔ Play Battle Map Studio on your Tilt Five.
  • ✔ Collaborate on maps with more players with enhanced multiplayer tools and options.
  • ✔ Access an expanded collection of characters, walls, structures, plants, and other placeable objects.
  • ✔ Create maps with multiple layers for easy editing at different height levels.
  • Create world maps for campaigns.
  • ✔ Add custom props and miniatures.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The early access version of Battle Map Studio includes a many map editing and RPG simulating tools and features that enable you to build battle maps and facilliate TTRPG experiences.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

I don't currently have plans to increase the price, but it's possible I may raise the price if I end up adding more features than initially planned.

I connect with players through various online communities (Reddit, Steam, Discord, etc.) and feedback forms. Player feedback, game metrics, and bug reports are all pivotal to refining Battle Map Studio's features and tools.
I'm looking forward to the community sharing their map files and screenshots to foster collaboration among creators as well as provide insight into how the tools are being used.

Custom Asset Import


Bring your own models and images to place as characters and props in your Battle Map Studio environment! FBX, OBJ, STL, Asset Bundle (.unity3d), PNG, and JPG are all supported.

There are so many great sites for downloading 3D models and 2D battle map assets. The model in the left-most section of this GIF was made using Hero Forge and the model in the center was downloaded from Unity Asset Store. The images in the third section were downloaded from 2-Minute Tabletop.

Map Layers


Add layers to your map to build multistory buildings, floating islands, or underground tunnels! Then, add additional layers to stack props on top of tables and other surfaces. Move layers up and down, duplicate them for easy reuse, or set them invisible to obscure parts of the map.

Use a variety of practical and amusing tools to paint forests and rivers, generate mountains, and construct houses. Build solo or collaborate with multiple players in real time online to bring your world to life!

With a growing collection of props, furniture pieces, and items to build with, you can let your imagination run wild while decorating castles, inns, and dungeons. When you’re finished building, set the mood and time of day using the light and fog controls. Then, populate your world with characters and creatures to set the stage for playing RPG campaigns.
