Patches:

Fixed - Further refined spawn mechanics of enemies. They should appropriately respect light sources.

Fixed - There were edge cases where treasure would spawn initially as a wooden chest and not as a ancient chest.

Fixed - It was possible to place player made walls inside the terrain.

Fixed - Issue where the rotate key keybind was not appropriately reflecting on HUD.

Fixed - Placing building objects now respect placed objects.

Building Changes:

Added - The ability to freely place objects within the world that are not structures.

Added - The ability to place chests on shelves.

UI Changes:

Added - 'Snap To Grid' toggle for placing objects. This has been keybound to C by default.

Update - Changed headers in Forges to match interact text descriptions.

- game no longer improperly detects state of rehexing, should properly set to false after rehexing
- RBToken Multiplers added to Curse Picker, as well as restructuring its layout!
- Curse Picker menu has been switched around, you pick curses first and THEN you pick curses
- Playtester Builds now have debug access

🦴 Extra Halloween treats? Ruh-roh… absolutely!

I personally feel like Halloween updates became a tradition for the House Flipper dev team, and we couldn't pass on the occasion to drop a bunch of spooky freebies to House Flipper 2 this year too!

That means that on top of the Scooby-Doo DLC release, we're also updating the base game with some Halloween treats available to all the House Flipper 2 players!

Explosive Odds V1.1.0 Spooky Update!

The spooky update is here! This update brings in new Halloween themed costumes plus a fun new ability called Trick or Treat with a new rule preset to go along with it! This update marks the first stop on our development roadmap! Exciting stuff. (See the patch notes before for all changes)

With this update we also launched a new DLC!! The spooky pack DLC which includes 4 cool new hats!

    • New Trick Or Treat Ability: This ability will activate a random effect when used but has a 1 in 6 chance to instantly detonate you! Plus it's got fun Halloween theming!

    • New Halloween Special rule preset. In this rule preset you will only be getting the Trick Or Treat ability. Its festive and chaotic!

    • The Bar has been decorated! Spiders, pumpkins and candy!

    • The themed content will stick around until Nov 3rd! BUT FEAR NOT! The costumes are staying in the shop and the new ability will still be available with its theming removed.

  • DLC Costumes may now be seen in the costume shop. (So you can see what they look like in game before buying.)

  • Various UI changes and tweaks. (Many text buttons have been replaced with Icons.)

  • Coaster is now click to interact instead of pressing E. Also removed text in favor of symbols.

  • Ability swapper made more clear. Will now show an 'Ability full. Swap?' confirmation before showing the swap menu.

  • A few other small tweaks and fixes.

Apocalypse Survivors - vocalcxs830415

After a month of hard work, the new character is finally ready!
This one focuses on defense and counterattacks, and I’ll keep adding more skills later to make sure every character can form fun and unique combos together.

It’s already the fifth character now, and I’ve actually got ideas brewing for the next one.
Right now, I’m figuring out some design challenges — for example, how to make a flamethrower-type weapon feel good in combat. Since it’s a continuous channeled attack, it tends to get interrupted by other skills, so I’m testing ways to make it blend smoothly with the rest of the moveset.

Originally, I wanted to use higher-resolution models with facial and eye animations, but since the camera angle doesn’t really show those details clearly, I decided to skip them for now to keep performance stable.

My next game project is already in my daily dev schedule, and I’ll be using this character’s workflow as a base.
So, stay tuned — there’s a lot more coming!
