Tempo improvements & the brand-new “Challenge the Dragon” system have arrived!

【Gameplay Tempo Improvements】

1. New Feature: “Challenge the Dragon” Command
When fewer than 10 days remain, a new field command will appear that lets you challenge the final boss anytime!

Will you prepare carefully before the fight, or will you rush in for an early showdown?
Your choice will decide the fate of your journey!

The earlier you challenge, the more Soul Points you can earn—
Risk and reward are in your hands, and your drama begins here.

※ In this battle, revival using remaining turns is disabled.
※ The Soul Point multiplier and command conditions may change in future updates.

2. All Players Roll Dice at Once!
Instead of rolling individually, all players now roll their movement dice together at the start of the turn.
This reduces waiting time and makes it easier to plan your strategy!

3. Faster Battle Draw Animation!
The card draw process has been sped up for a smoother battle flow.
※ Further improvements are planned in future updates.

4. No More “Miss” Messages in Exploration
Exploration events will only show messages when you successfully gain an ability.
Failed attempts will no longer display unnecessary text, keeping the pace quick.

【Balance Adjustment】

Stage 1’s final boss “Unkar Dragon” has gained the “Immune to Instant Death” ability!
Prepare for a truly challenging battle.

【Bug Fixes】

Thanks to your reports, the following issues have been fixed:

  • Fixed an issue where the item “Fairy False Wings” did not activate correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the random map starting point could sometimes be isolated.

  • Fixed an issue where hosting on Steam Deck prevented the game from starting.

  • Fixed an issue where having the “Dexterous” ability caused the hand to remain visible on the status board.

  • Fixed an issue where messages remained after choosing “Do nothing” on Road tiles.

  • Fixed an issue where some skill cards did not improve when upgraded.

【UX Improvements】
  • Selecting unusable items will no longer show unnecessary messages, making operations smoother!

CHANGES
- Added 95 more steam achievements (100 total steam achievements).

FIXED BUGS
- Steam achievements are not able to be unlocked. (Requires implementation of steam sdk with JNI)
- Able to upgrade a medium tower to large tower when it is blocked by another medium tower resulting in unexpected second tower removal.
- Welcome message displays full paragraph initially before beginning text animation.

KNOWN BUGS
- Scroll bar is not visible on the map selection list.
- The same wave repeats beyond wave 60 (in classic game mode only).
- Death animation for meals are missing.
- Range display isn't correctly offset for the flamber tower.
- Exe won't launch with GUI head format, currently only executes by console which means fps information is currently not available to NVidia overlay and console is shown at launch instead of splash screen.
- Mouse can become 'drag locked' after scrolling the users card library in Grupy's shop.
- Some sequence of transactions in Grupy's shop can cause players gems to be less than 0.
- Mouse events can have no effect when frame rate is too low. (They 'miss' the frame)

PLANNED
- Animate Grupy's castle.
- Animated main menu background.
- Final projectile tower type to be revealed and added to the game.
- Flamber tower to be removed from Grupy's store and replaced with Final projectile tower.
- Reorganised tower and item buttons in the game HUD.
- Multiball Christmas card that spawns another projectile with a random trajectory on impact (stacks).

CONSIDERING
- Option to change tower targeting mode, possible modes could be:
"First found" - tower will fire at the first target it finds (this is the current default for all towers)
"Fixed Angle" - Manually set the angle for the tower, tower will fire continuously at the fixed angle.
"Closest" - Attacks the mob closest to the tower. (within range)
"Furthest" - Attacks the mob furthest from the tower. (Within range)
"Progressed" - Attacks the mob that has progressed the furthest along its path. (Within range)
"Random" - Rotates to a random angle after every attack.
"Step Rotate" - Rotates the tower by a user controlled increment after each attack (progressively rotates the tower)

Big content patch this time!

Main changes:

  • New weapons: Pulsar Gland, Spike Protein, Blastocyst Mortar, Lateral Vent

  • New internal organelles: Ossificator, Pyrosome, Cryosome, Extensor, Sequence Scrambler, Echosome, Bifurcator, Chronosome

  • New lashes: Cryoflagellum, Toxin Flagellum

  • New mutation: Ossification

  • I'll let you figure out what all of these do :) They definitely need testing!

  • Reworked Chitin Infuser to give infinite piercing and a damage bonus after each hit. It also works with melee now.

  • Reinforced Membrane now gives only +1 max HP.

  • Other small rebalancing of mutations, organelles and plasmids.

  • Organelle rewards have a resistance force and a buffer time to help against accidental pickups.

  • Worm handling improved.

  • Plasmid upgrades are now shared across parasites.

  • Visual improvements, post-processing glow improved, better particle effects, special room hallway props.

  • All text extracted for translation, first supported languages are being worked on: Simplified Chinese, Czech, Brazilian Portuguese. More are coming, let us know if there is a language you'd really like to see supported or want to help with translating!
