Stand By Me - Victor de Paiva

We’ve updated Stand By Me to include the security fixes released by Unity addressing CVE-2025-59489, classified as high severity.

This vulnerability could allow local code execution or unauthorized access to information on systems running older Unity versions, depending on the operating system. So far, there’s been no evidence of exploitation or impact on users or customers, but as a precaution, we chose to protect our players proactively.

🔧 What we did:

  • Updated the engine to Unity 2020.3.49f1 (secure patch).

  • Rebuilt and redeployed the game to remove any potential risk.

  • Since we reopened the project, we also took the opportunity to apply a few small fixes, without any substantial gameplay or content changes:

    • Text typos in credits;

    • Misplaced components in a few levels;

    • The mask function in Make-a-Friend now works properly.

This update ensures full compliance with Unity’s official recommendations and keeps the game’s runtime environment secure and stable.

We’re all so excited by the response to Éalú in the three weeks since we launched. Seeing players and reviewers from all over the world discover & enjoy our wooden mouse’s journey has been incredible.

  • 🇬🇧 Rock Paper Shotgun Published a thoughtful, philosophical article about Éalú on our launch day

  • 🇨🇳 Heybox / 小黑盒, in a Chinese language review, named Éalú one of the month’s top indie releases, praising its “unmatched stop-motion craftsmanship.”

  • 🇮🇪 RTÉ featured Éalú on the front page of their website as “a must-play puzzler” and celebrated it as a landmark Irish-made game.

  • 🌍 NoobFeed called the game “beautiful, haunting, and worth playing just to see the ending.”

  • 🇫🇷 Recalbox streamed Éalú live to hundreds of French-speaking viewers — merci beaucoup!

  • 🇮🇪 92.5 Phoenix FM in Dublin & UCC 98.3FM in Cork had our team on for interviews that turned into great chats!

Since we're such a small team, every review, stream, and kind word means a great deal to us. Thank you for helping us spread the word about what we've made!

If you’ve enjoyed the game, please consider leaving a Steam review - it helps others to find the mouse also!

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault - 11bit miko

Hello Merchants!

On Monday, we wrapped up our round of Closed Playtests ahead of the Early Access launch, and what a journey it was!

After announcing the playtests, we received an overwhelming number of applications which was amazing. Because of your incredible enthusiasm, we decided not only to extend the playtests but also to increase the number of participants.

In total, we gathered feedback and data from over 5,000 players, along with more than 400 detailed survey responses.

Thank you so much for joining us on this adventure. From the very beginning, our goal has been to build a community-driven experience.

Here is what we learned from you:

General Scores

When asked, “How would you rate your overall gameplay experience with Moonlighter 2 during the playtests?” most of you rated it 8 or higher out of 10, with an average score of 8.55!

Especially, many of you highlighted the return of price-setting mechanics as a big improvement. We reworked the shop after the demo, and it clearly paid off! 90% of our Discord users mentioned this change as a positive change since the demo.

That is fantastic news for us, and we are thrilled that your experience with Moonlighter 2 has been much more positive than during demo release. Your feedback has given us even more courage that we are going into right direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

The survey also gave you a chance to ask us about the game. Here are some of the most common topics and our answers to them:

Secret rooms in the dungeons:

Yes! You can expect to find secrets hidden in the dungeons. We will not spoil too much, but keep your eyes open. You will be rewarded for your curiosity.

Upgrading the backpack:

One of the vendors in Tresna will allow you to expand your backpack, giving you more space to carry your precious loot. Use it wisely!

Onsen rooms and more potions:

Yes again! Eris, the alchemist you may remember from the first Moonlighter, will return to help you improve your survivability through upgrades and potions.

Stacking relics, quick-selling, and inventory transfers:

These systems have been redesigned. Moonlighter 2 introduces a new backpack management mechanic that we believe feels much more satisfying.

You can still use a “quick swap” button to move your currently held relic to the other side of the screen without accidentally activating its effect.

Loot from mobs:

Loot is not limited to chests. Defeated enemies can also drop materials you will need for crafting and upgrades.

Things We Are Working to Improve

We also collected plenty of great feedback on areas we can improve before launch. Here is what we are focusing on next:

Optimization and Performance:

This is our top priority before Early Access. The team is working hard to make sure the game runs smoothly across different hardware setups.

UI and Keyboard/Mouse Controls:

Expect improvements to interface usability and mouse navigation. You will be able to use your mouse on nearly all in-game buttons at release.

Dungeon Design and Information Clarity:

We agree that arena variety can still be improved. However, in our opinion the game’s design encourages players to change biomes and weapons frequently, which helps keep the experience fresh and dynamic.

Balancing and Progression Pace:

We have already made several economy and progression tweaks in the most recent build. If further balancing is needed after launch, we will adjust it quickly.

We could not be more grateful for your support, feedback, such extensive activity. Together, we are shaping Moonlighter 2 into something truly magical and we couldn’t do it without you.

Prepare for the Early Access Launch and see you soon in Tresna!

The Last Starship - Chris

The Last Starship is now in BETA! Updates will be coming more frequently, roughly once a month, and will focus on quality of life, reliability, and performance. We will be tying up lose ends and generally working toward a planned v1.0 launch in early 2026.

Full Change list

Drone Bays and Docking Port unloading

Docking ports and Drone Bays frequently block up, with the crew unable to unload them fast enough, and drones waiting endlessly outside to drop off their loot.

This has been fixed with some new rules:

  • If a Docking Port delivery zone becomes blocked up with cargo, the crew will now shuffle the blocking items into ANY nearby empty squares, to make space for more delivery items.

  • This also means new players don't actually need to create cargo storage areas for a while - the crew will just keep moving things further from the blocked docking port.

  • Drone Bays now have internal storage for up to 9 incoming items, meaning Drones don't have to wait before dropping off their items.

  • If a Drone Bay is still blocked due to slow unloading, the crew will quickly unload the internal items into ANY nearby empty squares first.

  • These changes make docking ports and drone bays much faster to operate, and prevents them blocking up so easily.

New Docking Assistant

Docking has been made much easier, with a new docking assistant that automatically takes care of the final manoeuvres when close enough.

You can override the docking assistant at any time by using your thrusters or engines manually.

Small Changes
  • Add low deuterium alert

  • Factories will dump their inventory contents before being dismantled

  • The camera will now detach if you are focussed on an NPC ship that performs an FTL jump

  • Removed 'Generator' and 'Energy Cell' from the game entirely

  • Grated floors are available in the ship editor

  • Trade screen resets category when closed

  • Partially filled containers and incomplete components can now be sold in the trade menu

  • Mac OS X : Don't map ctrl-click to right-click (allows ctrl to be used with left-click to select all items for sale/purchase)

  • Toggle splitters with CTRL + RMB instead of only RMB

  • Drone changes:

    • Split drone state abandoned into 3 states: home layer ftld out, home drone bay destroyed, home layer destroyed. This allows for better handling of the different cases

    • Drones carry on doing what they were doing instead of returning home when FTL jump cancelled

    • Drones carry on doing what they were doing if they can when left behind in an ftl jump (gathering, logistics...)

    • Drones finish logistics transfers if their home layer is destroyed

  • Add Cancel Trade And Refund button to Trade Screen, to cancel all pending trades and refund the money due/owed

  • Added search box to equipment panel
