One of the environments I love (and hate) in horror games are claustrophobic ones. Of course, I wanted to add such an environment to Toxoplasma as well, and what is more claustrophobic than crawling through decrepit vents, with your breath echoing around you in those tight walls?

The vents play a big role in the game loop of Toxoplasma as well, as you will be forced into them to check for signs of hallucination (anomalies) every day. If that sounds suffocating, great! That's the point.

On a slightly unrelated note, I will be going to an in-person expo soon to test out the first iteration of the vents on a live audience, helping me iterate and perfect the experience. I hope you end up loving (and hating) the vents as much as I do!

We just pushed a version of the game with support for MacOS intel CPUs to the demo on a new beta branch.

To test this branch:

- Open the demo's Properties

- Open the Betas tab

- In Beta Participation, select "intel"

Once this is done and you've downloaded the update to the game, you should now have a new launch option for intel CPUs
