Reel Life - badgenesprod

Today we’ll go over the rest of the machines that will be available in Reel Life in the coming weeks. These machines will help you melt, freeze, spool, and more! Since we went over the mechanics of machines in the last dev log, we’ll skip that and just explain the functions of each remaining machine.

This is the loom’n’spinner. This is the machine you’ll be using to create thread and yarn from wool and organic fibers (like flax). Once you’ve gotten that yarn piled up, run it through again to create fabric!

This is the smelt’n’form that will let you – of course – smelt ores and sand! Create ingots of iron, silver, and gold and glass panes for crafting new buildings. You’ll also be able to form bricks in the smelter from clay. If it needs to be fired, this is the machine to do it.

Next up is the still’n’mix. This machine is used to create delicious spirits! Scotch, brandy, vodka, and rum are among the recipes available to you upon purchase of the machine. Helpful if you want to make your own liquor for gifting or just selling.

Lastly, we have the tumble temper. This is a fun cooking machine that can help you create ingredients – like cream, butter, or mayonnaise – or food – like yogurt and ice cream! It can even be used to make extra animal feed from wheat, corn, and sunflowers (animals need a balanced diet, too!).

Of course, these are only some of the recipes that will be available per machine on purchase. We hope you’ll have fun making them all!

That’s it for the rest of the machines. We’ll be off for the next two weeks because of a move (and we need to settle in and get back to work), but we’ll be back on 10.14 with more content!

Head Coach Tactics - shawn.m.wignall

Player ratings have been updated to work with the new game engine! Since I upgraded the engine to make franchise and the on-field tactics deeper, I also had to drastically increase the number of player ratings. Most of these ratings should be self-explanatory, but the "Play Style Tendencies" section may need more detail.

At the start of each play, everyone will run a little bit to start the play. Think of this as setting the chessboard for the turn-based play. Once everyone completes the initial movement, you start the turn-based part. Each player's initial movement is determined by the "Play Style Tendencies" ratings. For example, if you have a QB that is maxed on Roll Out, he'll often start each play by rolling out instead of standing in the pocket. If your LBs tend to have high Blitz, they will rush the QB on more plays than dropping back into coverage.

As you can see, this adds another element to roster building as well as tactical gameplay.

Stay tuned for more feature updates as development continues!

Note: Logos and player info are just for example purposes. (You know what I mean :) )
