Project Songbird - Conner

Hello once again! This time I just have a few minor improvements to the demo! Hopefully, with this patch, most all major problems with Project Songbird Teaser: Faceless will be fixed up and the experience will be smooth running from here on out!

  • Further geometry optimization and shadow reduction.

  • Fixed issue where flashlight would not work during final basement

  • Fixed some UI scaling issues

  • Fixed tutorial prompt toggle setting not working properly

Hopefully we're out of the weeds now for bug fixes and the next update pushed will be predominantly creative decisions and improvements to the base experience!

VENDOR KIOSK UPDATE

Yes, we have a new update for you to test. We named it after the Vendor Kiosk feature, but it also includes a bank, a storage crate, and a minor Halloween event.

Vendor Kiosk

You can now place a kiosk on your claim that you can use to sell things to the general public in game.

The recipe unlock is automatic for the moment and part of the Business skill tree. Everyone gets it for free at the moment.

To create a Vendor kiosk, go to the Lathe and use the recipe you find there for it. Once it is crafted, you can go to one of your Homesteads and place the kiosk there. You place the kiosk with the Fabricator, so you’ll need one of those before you can do so. NOTE: You may only have one Vendor kiosk per Homestead.

Any player may open the Vendor kiosk after it is placed and they can buy any item found there.

Only players with editing permissions on that Homestead can post items to sell into that kiosk.

Click the BROWSE button in the upper, left of the screen. All the items that you (or other players with edit permissions) have made available for sale are in those listings. Click on any item to get a Purchase dialog.

To put an item up for sale, click the SELL button in the upper left of the screen. Then just drag-and-drop any item or stack of items from your inventory onto the right side of the screen. You can set the price and authorize the sale. 

You need to come back to the Vendor kiosk to collect the money from any sold items. Click the SELL button to see your listings then click the coin icon to collect the Klaatu.

Bank

The Bank is found in the Starbase. You can access the Bank kiosk and then drag-and-drop items, or stacks of items, from your inventory to the bank vault. You can then return to the bank at any time and recover those items by dragging them back into your inventory.

Homestead Crates

You can now create Homestead Crates and place them on your Homestead for additional storage.

You unlock the Homestead Crate recipe by unlocking the Architect skill tree. 

You build the Homestead Crate at the Lathe.

After it is in your inventory, you place it like any other Building Tile by using the Fabricator.

Only yourself and people that you give permission to edit your Homestead will be able to access crates placed on that Homestead. (Later on, we’ll add more granular permission settings, but that’s how it is for now.)

Halloween

We have also included a very small Halloween event but we are not explaining it. You will need to discover it yourself.

We are patching the current build and will open the playtest servers tomorrow. Then we go back onto our usual Thursday-through-Tuesday morning rhythm.

Midnight Heist - .Parona
Hello everyone!
The time has finally come: Midnight Heist is now officially available in version 1.0!
We have made a lot of changes under the hood to improve stability and netcode, but all of the content announced in the roadmap has also made it into the full version.

The new hideout


We are saying goodbye (for now) to our old hideout, which has served us well for two years, but due to a broken water pipe, we had to find a new one. The new hideout not only looks more appealing and atmospheric, it also has a new computer setup and extra space for the module printer and whiteboard!



New small map


The 1.0 release also comes with a new small map with a new theme: The abandoned Midnight City Police Station. Some of you may recognize this location, but venture inside and see what it looks like.





New skins, skin compatibility and a small thank you for EA players


With the full version, we are also releasing a new skin collection. Many of you have requested compatibility of existing skins across multiple characters and we have fulfilled this wish so that everyone can truly express themselves freely. For all those who had a leaderboard entry before version 1.0 (this means all entries, not just the best ones), exclusive gifts are waiting for you and will be available at the Scream Fest!

With the full version, we also directly support 9 additional languages: German, Chinese, Czech, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, French, Portuguese, and Polish.



New achievements and Steam items


Midnight Heist now offers a total of 44 achievements, compared to the previous 22 from the Early Access phase. These have also been adapted to the new systems and features so that every corner of the game is covered. In addition, we have created Steam trading cards, backgrounds, emotes, and badges so that Midnight Heist takes full advantage of Steam's features. These are currently still under review before they are finally approved by Steam. We'll let you know as soon as that happens!

New leaderboard


Don't worry, the old leaderboard from the Early Access phase will remain unchanged. However, with the 1.0 release, there will be a new leaderboard so that all thieves and hackers from Midnight City can compete again in the full version to see who is the best.

  • Improved run animation
  • Improved netcode

  • Fixed a bug where duplicate lobbies were displayed in the lobby list
  • Fixed a bug where Darryl's player card would not load skins as host when players joined
  • Fixed a bug where the wardrobe displayed the wrong equipped item when changing categories with filters
  • Fixed a bug where the camera's night mode would get stuck
  • Fixed a bug related to crashing in relation to entities
  • Fixed a bug where the entity would freeze when chasing a player
  • Fixed a bug where drop controls displayed incorrect key text in the tutorial
  • Fixed the rotating pipes hacking task
  • Fixed a bug where security camera sound did not work on tablets
  • Fixed a bug where Ragdoll falls through the stairs in a Midnight City Bank
  • Fixed a bug with the accept button in Operation 1
  • Fixed a bug where infection and hacking speed would change with fps when too fast
  • Fixed a bug where the dropdown tooltip for difficulty level was displaying wrong stats
  • Fixed a bug where the level icon was not displayed correctly on the Workbench PC

FALLSAGA - Lyz3R`

Hello all players!

The FALLSAGA demo version received a minor update after Steam Next Fest. With this update:

- A puzzle in Chapter 2 has been temporarily removed from the game due to a complex bug.

- Players who were stuck on the puzzle I mentioned in Chapter 2 and were unable to continue the game can now continue playing.

- Some movement issues have been fixed.

- Crashing issues have been fixed.

The next FREE Over The Top: WWI Playtest is happening November 1–2, and this one brings some big changes to gunplay!

We’ve completely overhauled the entire gunplay system to make every weapon feel more authentic and true to history, so your feedback is important!

RIFTINVADERS - hennakin

Hi there space folks,

a friend of mine took the time and checked the game a bit and I found out some really crucial things that can be a real showstopper for new players. The defaults of some settings like mouse sensitivity and zoom level where just bad for most players. So I changed them to better values.

Also he didn't think about zooming at all while playing which is a fundamental thing to do. A good idea was to add some notifiers about the zoom state and turbo as well to let the player know about these features. @Doc Angelo: Thanks for these great tips! :-) I added them both to the in-game interface on the bottom of the screen.

Some bugs were also fixed in this version.

Chaneglog in detail for v0.9.2:

Change: set default mouse sensitivity to 2.0

Add: showing controlstate shift turbo and wheel zoom in the bottom ingame user-interface

Fix: vrcontrollerstate not initialized properly in the linux build

The fight against the Fleshweaver is all about carving its mass down to size. With each hit, a piece of its form breaks away and fights back. The Fleshweaver weakens as it loses mass, but your train risks becoming completely overrun!



Strategy Meets Survival

Do you chip away at the Fleshweaver early, and deal with its spawns right away, or take care of the first wave of enemies and face his full force later? These are the questions players will have to ask themselves when facing the newest boss coming to Monster Train 2.



A Questions of Not If but When

Your health is a resource, use it wisely to survive to the Relentless Phase, when the Fleshweaver can no longer shed bodies from its mass. Would you rather risk a horde of Undying Wretches at your Pyreheart, or contend with the Fleshweaver’s full might?
