❓ What is ONEiRA?

ONEiRA is a narrative-driven puzzle-platformer where your choices matter. Explore a world where dreams are sold as entertainment and your job is to ensure each is market-ready.

🗓️ When will the game release?

We’re aiming to release ONEiRA in 2026. As with any indie game, this could shift slightly, but we’re committed to transparency every step of the way.

🎮 What platforms will ONEiRA be on?

Our initial release is planned for PC via Steam. We’re also exploring other platforms (like consoles), but nothing is confirmed yet. Will update you as soon as we know more!

🧠 What kind of gameplay can I expect?

ONEiRA is hard to compare but think a mix of Portal, The Talos Principle, and a little bit of Psychonauts. You'll traverse obstacles, solve puzzles, make dialogue choices that affect the story.

🧩 Is this a linear game?

The story is narrative-driven but your choices matter. There are multiple outcomes based on how you explore, interact, and resolve each dream scenario. It’s not open-world, but it’s far from “on rails.

🕖 How long will the game be?

We're estimating a playtime of around 6–8 hours, depending on how deeply you explore and how quickly you solve puzzles. Completionists may take longer.

🔁 Is there replayability?

Absolutely. Your decisions lead to different outcomes, and some content can only be experienced on certain paths. We're also including some hidden lore and collectibles for players who dig deeper.

We’ve made some fixes and optimizations in this update to improve your experience.

Below are the details:

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed a bug where mistakenly accepting the Daowei Quest would cause players to miss the 'Mysterious Fire Conspiracy' quest. \[For players who are 1) in the process of \[MAIN STORY] Become Discipline Disciple, 2) have completed the prerequisites for 'Tales of the Martial Arts Families', and 3) have already done 'Myriad Shots': after the update, please head to the area near the Wudang Sword Trial Platform. The erroneous quest will be automatically removed and replaced with a new Daowei Commission Quest.]

  • Fixed an issue where the item 'Jade Sculptor's Strike Manual Fragments' had incorrect text descriptions and could be used on teammates other than those of the Fist or Palm type. \[For players who have already used it incorrectly, please go to Blossom Trail on the world map. The mislearned 'Jade Sculptor's Strike' will be automatically removed from the teammate, and an 'Jade Sculptor's Strike Manual Fragments' will be returned.]

  • Fixed a bug where Bu Weiyue would not appear after leaving the team and moving to Xianrend ferry. \[For players who have already had her leave the team, please go to the Xianrend Ferry Dock, and Bu Weiyue will automatically appear.]

  • Fixed a bug where the side quest 'Old Acquaintance' might fail to trigger. \[Mo Wen only needs 90 Affection to survive.   • Fixed an issue with the Xianrend Ferry “Pirate Collaborator” quest where obtaining and using the quest item ‘Dragon Scent Sachet’ too early would prevent the next stage from triggering. \[For players already stuck in this quest, you can now interact directly with the next-stage NPC without needing the sachet.]

  • Fixed a bug in 'Mysterious Fire Conspiracy' where, if the protagonist learns the skill ‘Xuanyang Lihuo Technique’ and chooses the romance route, Yao Ji might fail to comprehend the 'Chaos Martial Codex'.

  • Fixed a bug where the 'Celestial Method Manual' from the Sukuyou Divine Palace was incorrectly displayed in the Inheritance Library interface.

  • Fixed a bug in ‘Fairy Traces of the Azure Sea’ where, after defeating the Yin-Yang Division, players who met the teammate requirements could not trigger the campfire event with their teammates. Players who have already completed the quest will unlock the corresponding Codex entry after the update.

  • Fixed a bug during the 'Jade Dragon Chant' stage of the main story where, if Lü Xian'er had already learned 'Huntian Pear Blossom Spear: Ultimate', the subsequent story events (including the ending cutscene) would not progress correctly.

  • Fixed a bug in the Codex where items under the item category were incorrectly shown as unlocked even if they hadn't been obtained yet (visual issue only, does not affect actual progress tracking).

  • Fixed an issue where the skill 'Ripple Dance' used in 'Cloud Waves and Morning Mist' did not trigger the Level 7 effect of gaining Focus after moving during the first turn.

  • Fixed an issue where the Level 7 effect of the 'Five Constants Scripture' — gaining Focus when hit from behind or the side — would sometimes not activate in Real-Time Mode.

  • Fixed an issue where the quest icon would not appear above the Constable’s head when the 'Pirate Collaborator' quest became available.

  • Fixed an issue where the skill icon for 'Piercing Cloud Spear' had the wrong color.

  • Fixed an issue where entering the pharmacy in Pingkang City could mistakenly trigger the cutscene of first meeting Bu Weiyue from the 'Pearl of the East Sea' storyline.

  • Fixed an issue where the 'Centennial Legacy' quest from 'Fairy Traces of the Azure Sea' was not properly closed after entering the Southern Frontier main storyline.

  • Fixed an issue where the Yin-Yang Division Leader's Max Qi value was incorrect.

  • Fixed an issue where Shangguan Hong's outfit was incorrect during the gatekeeping cutscene with Sima Ling in the Southern Frontier main storyline.

  • Fixed an issue where Lü Xian'er’s outfit was incorrect during the battle against Yuan forces at Xungu Pass.

  • Fixed an issue where the dialogue with the Sweeper Elder beneath the Jade Pavilion stairs could still be triggered after completing the 'Qiluoyan' event.

  • Fixed an issue where the Ye siblings could possibly overlap at the He Pu Manor training ground.

  • Fixed an issue where the character portrait in the character menu would not update when changing outfits.

Attempted Fixes in This Update
  • Attempted to fix a bug where the protagonist’s outfit could not be changed after completing the side quest in Lei Family Village and the main story flashback in Liaocheng. \[If the issue still occurs after the update, please fill up the bug report sheet here: [url="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd-rkw9YdsnwqaGaVbv7_oHWx3x_6wQV7sn2MGYgtkJI06o9A/viewform"]bug report form[/url]]

  • Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger when heading to Jinglong during the main quest 'Jinglong Agreement'.

  • Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger during the side quest involving the visit of the Four Great Martial Clans to Pingyang Fort.

Updates and Optimizations
  • Added a treasure chest to the Youxian Village scene. Players who missed the night-time chest can now obtain the 'Scroll of Jiuzhou' at the same location during the day.

  • Optimized the sandbox combat in 'The Wu Family’s Past' quest. The victory condition for the fifth battle on first entry has been adjusted—now the follow-up story will trigger after surviving approximately 2 to 3 turns.

  • Enabled the Observe, Gift, Spar, and Inquire options for Mu Ai at He Pu Manor. You can now obtain the 'Piercing Cloud Spear' manual by sparring with her.

  • Optimized the learning conditions for 'Stubborn Stone Technique' — the protagonist can now learn this martial art by inquiring with other characters.

  • Optimized the dialogue conditions for asking Qingxu, Yuanjue, and Mu Haitang about the Master of Qingyun. As long as the prerequisite quests are completed, these conversations can now be triggered any time before the Southern Frontier main quest, and can be triggered simultaneously without conflict.

  • Optimized the Level 4 effect description of 'Ephemeral Heart Mirror' by adding this clarification: this effect will overwrite any existing 'Ephemeral Heart Mirror' effect to last for 3 turns. (This is a text-only change and does not affect the actual skill behavior.)

Additional Notes
  • In the update on the 19th, the Mount DLC effects were revised. After purchasing the Mount Expansion Pack: Swift Shadow, all mounts in the game will receive a scene movement speed bonus of +300 and a world map movement speed bonus of +1000. They will also come with the 'Monster Repellent' effect, preventing monsters in dungeons from actively pursuing the player. (Mounts included in the base game have a default movement speed of +150 in scenes and +750 on the world map.)

  • All Codex entries marked as DLC will no longer count toward overall Codex completion progress.

  • If you have installed any MODs in previous versions of the game, the update may cause compatibility issues, preventing the game from launching properly or causing errors during gameplay. If you encounter such issues, we recommend uninstalling any installed MODs (go to your game library, right-click on "Wandering Sword", select "Manage", then "Browse local files", and delete all contents under the path Wandering_Sword\\Content\\Paks). After that, verify the integrity of the game files and try launching the game again.

    • If Steam is unable to update the game, you can try deleting the steam.cfg file in the Steam directory, then restart Steam and check for client updates.

The Book of Aaru - dtmika2

The Book of Aaru is a challenging roguelite, as it should be. But we also know that not everyone is looking for a try-hard experience. Some of you are here to enjoy the rich Egyptian Sci-fi world we've built, and want to let that sink in without the roguelite struggles.

To support a wider range of playstyles, we've always offered two aim-related helpers in combat: Aim-Assist and Lock-On Target. Now, with this update, we're making them more accessible, better explained, and easier to manage during gameplay.


How Do These Systems Work?

Aim-Assist is designed as a quality of life feature. It’s for players who want to stay in control of their aiming but wouldn’t mind a little help. With this option enabled, you still control rotation manually, but if your aim drifts slightly off target, within a small angle tolerance, the system gently nudges your attack back toward the enemy.

Under the hood, this uses two invisible cones:

  • A tight cone that confirms you’re aiming closely enough to “attach” to an enemy.

  • A wider cone that helps reattach your aim if you momentarily slip off target after already locking on.

Lock-On Target, on the other hand, is a more powerful assist, which completely lowers the difficulty of the game. It fully takes over your character’s rotation and always focuses on the nearest enemy, letting you concentrate purely on dodging and attacking. You can manually cycle through enemies as well, giving you full control over who to target next.


What’s New in This Update?

The most important change: clarity and accessibility.

Until now, many players weren’t aware these features even existed in the tutorial, it was easy to miss how to interact with these features. With this update:

  • The first time you plug in a controller, a pop-up explains both aim helpers and asks if you'd like to enable Lock-On by default or opt for a more challenging experience without it.

  • Once you make a choice, the game remembers your preferred default and automatically reapplies it whenever a level is loaded - even if you accidentally switched it mid-combat.

  • You can toggle either system on or off at any time during battle temporarily.

  • You can also change your default aim setting permanently via the controls options menu.

  • And for extra clarity, we’ve added new HUD icons that clearly show whether Aim-Assist or Lock-On Target is currently active all the time.
