Howdy everyone!

We know it’s been a minute since we said we’d bring you some news, but today we’re finally ready to let the cat out of the bag:

A Multiplayer version of American Cooking Simulator is officially in development!

You can already check out the Steam page here. Wishlist it to stay updated on further release info!

A lot of you have been asking for multiplayer ever since this project first came out, so we’re really excited to share this with you. This new version is much bigger in scope and way more complex, so we’re now working together with our publisher Artex. Stay tuned for more news in the future.

So what’s happening to this version of American Cooking Simulator?

There will be a few changes soon:

  • The name of this app will change to “ACS”. So basically just the acronym. We do this because we want to avoid confusion between this old version and the new Multiplayer title when you look for it in the Steam search.

  • This version will be retired. Don't worry, if the game is already in your library, you won't lose access to it. You will still be able to play the singleplayer version as much as you want. Retiring simply means new players won’t be able to add it anymore, and it won’t appear in Steam search.

  • No more updates here. All development time goes into the Multiplayer version now (and has been for a few while, which is why we've been so quiet here). But your feedback from this release is directly influencing it, and we’re using everything we learned to make the new game better.

And lastly, a big thank you to everyone who's played the game!

When we released ACS as a free student project back in February, we never expected it to gain this much attention. Your support, feedback, and chaotic burger-cooking antics made this whole journey possible.

Some users reported that the second level with keep loading infinitely. With some help from Steam user Misfit Mouffette (Thanks!), I pinpointed the issue to a decimal number that couldn't be parsed. This is because some systems depend on comma's for there decimals rather than points. This issue is now fixed and affected users should now be able to enjoy the game! 🦨💖💖

The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker 2 - D'Avekki Studios

We're currently in the middle of all the things but we've already started testing on the Steam Deck with a native linux build, webm videos and a larger scale UI. There won't be any touchscreen functionality but other than that it should work well. The larger scale UI will also be available on the standard PC build for anyone that prefers the bigger view of things and for playing more comfortably on TV.

DEFRAG - Rootkit

Hello, this is Rootkit_, developer of DEFRAG.

After two large-scale updates, this patch is a light minor update focusing on improvements that could be applied immediately.

Below are the improvement items and balance adjustments included in this update.


1. STATS Window Added
  • A new STATS window has been added, allowing you to view your character’s main stats.

  • You can access it by clicking the STATS button located at the bottom-left of the NODE screen.

2. Module Inventory Improvement
  • When the inventory was full, the bottom module descriptions were sometimes cut off.

  • To address this, the bottom spacing of the module inventory has been increased.

3. Explosion Attack Balance Adjustment
  • Many players reported that explosion-type attacks were weaker compared to other weapons.

  • To improve this, explosion attacks now receive 2.5× more benefit from Attack Speed than before.

Una actualización muy bestia: enemigos nuevos, niveles mejorados, una UI más inteligente, animaciones más limpias y muchos más arreglos.
La actualización 0.7 trae nuevos enemigos, grandes rediseños de niveles, mejor feedback visual, mayor rendimiento, un rebalanceo completo del combate (más o menos), una UI más refinada y cientos de correcciones de bugs.

Raiders Rise – Notas de la Version 0.7
La actualización 0.7 es de las más bestias que hemos hecho hasta ahora y además hemos establecido la base para todo lo que se viene! Mejoras del gameplay en combate, pulido de cada bioma, reconstruyendo sistemas de navegación y colisiones, mejorando el feedback de los personajes e introduciendo nuevos prototipos de enemigos y mecánicas.
Casi todas las áreas del juego han recibido mejoras.
Aquí tienes un desglose de los cambios más importantes:
🔫 Mejoras en el Combate
• Revisión del Comportamiento de los Enemigos
Lógica de aparición más segura y zonas de spawn mejoradas.
Los enemigos ya no cruzan áreas no deseadas.
Valores de spawn reequilibrados en todos los planetas.
Gráficos de navegación reconstruidos para un mejor pathing.


• Revisión del Feedback en Combate
Nuevos iconos de estado, mejor claridad de debuffs y mayor visibilidad de buffs.
Arreglos para los iconos de invisibilidad, armadura, inquebrantable y movimiento.
El feedback de aturdimiento, dash, recarga y daño ahora se activa correctamente para todos los Raiders.


Raiders Jugables, Nuevas Skins y Chromas
Seis Raiders estarán disponibles en esta actualización: Atabusk, Jerar, Maya, Jak, Kathy y Snowbird.
Cada uno llega con una skin exclusiva y Chromas para cambiar el color de sus skins básicas y nuevas.
Aviso: Las skins estarán disponibles temporalmente para probarlas, ¡así que aprovéchalas mientras puedas!

• Pulido de las Animaciones

Pulido de VFX de los ataques primarios y las definitivas

Diseño de Niveles, Colisiones y Navegación
Un montón de mejoras en casi todos los niveles:
• Rediseño de Niveles
Actualización del nivel del Tren, Hallway, Maze, Coral, Urban y varias áreas más del Planeta 1 y 2.
Nuevos bloqueadores, lógica de puertas y salidas mejoradas.
Ajustes en cofres, cristales y super cofres.
Nivel Split: gran trabajo de maquetación + nuevos elementos.


• Revisión de Colisiones y Navegación
Colisionadores de balas y jugadores rehechos.
Esquinas y bordes suavizados para evitar atascos.
NavMeshes actualizados en todas las áreas.
Arreglos en muros que bloqueaban balas y oclusiones no deseadas.


💼 Mejoras de UI, Tienda y Battlepass
• Sistema de Mejoras
Nuevo sistema de pesos: las mejoras equipadas aparecen menos frecuentemente.
Arregladas mejoras faltantes para varios personajes.
Mejor feedback cuando no puedes comprar o hacer reroll.


• Tienda
La pantalla de mejoras solo se cierra automáticamente cuando ya no puedes comprar más.
Validación adecuada al gastar moneda.
Los rolls de tienda ahora persisten entre visitas.
Limpieza general de visuales y prefabs.


• Battlepass
Nuevo popup de revisión + pantalla de recompensas atrasadas.
Añadida función de “reclamar todo”.
Arreglada la lógica de misiones premium.
Mejor ocultación/agrupación de misiones completadas.


• Pulido General de UI
Paneles de estado, botones, ayudas de input y auto-ajuste de texto reworkeados.
Popup de reconexión, notificaciones de amigos e invitaciones de lobby mejorados.
Arreglos en navegación con mando en menús y pantallas de cartas.



🧪 Rendimiento, Estabilidad y Otros Arreglos
Gran reducción de picos de rendimiento al cargar configuraciones.
Arreglos de excepciones al unirse tarde o interactuar.
Bots mejorados (navegación + comportamiento).
Problemas de visibilidad del cursor completamente resueltos.


📦 Y Cientos de Arreglos Adicionales…
Esta actualización incluye cientos de mejoras pequeñas: erratas, iconos faltantes, ajustes de colisiones, mejoras de VFX, prefabs incorrectos, arreglo de cocción de niveles, pulido de cámara y limpieza de UI.
Si algo “se sentía un poco raro” antes… lo más probable es que ahora esté arreglado.

Here are the v0.1 Update Notes:

🔪 Gameplay & Mechanics
  • Faster Prep: Ingredients to be cooked now spawn directly on the cutting board.

  • Realistic Cutting Feel: The cutting system has been revamped! When you hover over an ingredient, the IK (Inverse Kinematics) system now automatically engages, offering a much more natural cutting experience.

  • Level Design: The "Flying Carpet" has been removed from the first 4 chapters. Ingredients will no longer be picked up from the carpet, simplifying the early game flow.

🎓 Revamped Tutorial
  • Checkpoints: Added checkpoints to the movement tutorial so you don't have to start over if you make a mistake.

  • Video Explanations: Updated the movement system instructions with direct video tutorials for better learning.

  • Music: Added specific looping background music to the tutorial section.

  • Either start a new game and select "Toxicity", or join it with a current save file after you have finished terraforming your first planet using the Interplanetary Travel Rocket.

  • Can I buy one copy and invite my friends in my game

  • Yes, only the host of a multiplayer game needs to own the DLC

  • Is there new achievements?

  • No, we don't want to link achievements to DLCs, so people that do not own the DLCs can still have all the achievements for the game

  • I have technical issues with the DLC

  • Be sure to update your mods or disable them completely. Restart Steam. Update your drivers.
