As the solo-developer of both ShantyTown and Kainga: Seeds of Civilization, I'm happy to offer a little discount to those who like my games!

Silk Softworks, my company, was designed to make unusual games that are enjoyable and surprising experiences. Stuff that pushes the boundaries and mixes genres. I want to create memorable titles that keep gaming fresh and exciting.

ShantyTown is a relaxing urban building game where you place objects one at a time to create dense, urban environments. Unsatisfied with rigid, grid-based diorama building games, I created ShantyTown to challenge your decisions and make dealing with past choices a part of gameplay. Instead of a fully creative sandbox game (it does have a creative mode) ShantyTown is level-based with a hand curated list of objects allowing you to discover the purpose of the game while you play.

Kainga: Seeds of Civilization is a roguelite village building game where you create a culture as you play. Without usual stables of citybuilders like stockpiles or technology trees, you must send your village leader, a defenseless "Thinker", to sites of inspiration around a procedurally generated map. Unlock over 400 unique technologies, tame massive beasts and build on them. This is a game where knowledge and mastery over the systems can be more valuable than each run's success or failure. With an admitedly rougher onboarding experience, the depth this game is something I'm quite proud of.
