The music of the video game Hunt: Showdown 1896, a supernatural shooter set during the dawn of blues and jazz, is the music of Port Sulphur Band. Both a meta element of the game and an in-house band made up of Crytek game developers, Port Sulphur Band began as a vehicle to tell stories from the world of Hunt. Their eerie, southern gothic, blues-driven sound is inspired by the music of the time, but produced for ours.

Since their first album released in 2019, Port Sulphur Band has become a cult phenomenon, with over 70 million streams across three albums. Their first vinyl, The Devil’s Fee, hit #62 on the German album charts—an industry first for video game soundtracks—and their second vinyl, Shadows Calling, hit #63.
