What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to make Skyflower the best we can, and the community is a great way to get feedback. Early Access allows Skyflower to be released to the public, but still allows room for tweaks and gameplay changes before an official release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Skyflower will probably be in Early Access for a month or two, as we collect feedback and adjust the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We would like Skyflower to make more use of the Steamworks API, with achievements and more integration. More spells, boss variation, and end-game content will most likely arrive in the full version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Skyflower’s single player mode is complete, featuring five worlds and a slew of items, spells, and bosses. The multiplayer mode, while it will be available, is still in beta and is under development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is being sold for a lower price in Early Access. Grab it while it's hot!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Any feedback is highly appreciated! We’d like to fully keep our fans in the loop in Early Access, and improve Skyflower to the best that it can be.”

The End of Skyflower

Hi everyone. It's been three years since Skyflower's release! I built this game as a freshman in high school -- and there were definitely many things that I could have done better. Number one on this list is continuity. Many improvements were never developed in time, and at this point, Skyflower has (regrettably) joined the long list of unfinished early access games.

For me, Skyflower was an incredible learning experience. It's my first game that I've ever brought to release. As I start my next projects, I've got an idea where the roadbumps will be, and I've got plans to handle them. First things first: no Early Access! I'm only putting out finished games, and if you'll stick with me, I hope you enjoy them!
