What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want people to be able to play ORBITOR now, and we want them to be able to play it within the Steam environment while using the features that Steam provides.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Once we feel that ORBITOR has sufficient content it will leave Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In Early Access our focus will be on content and polish.

The current build is playable and fun and has a few levels for players to mess around in and get a feel for the direction of the game. We're intending to add additional levels regularly which will introduce gameplay mechanics that we've been working on but haven't shown as yet. While we're doing that we'll try to address any technical issues players may have and act on feedback we receive.

But most of all we just want to work on ORBITOR until it transforms into an awesome game.

We have some plans. But it all comes down to the response from the community. So the plans could change a little ;)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are still adding levels and features, tweaking settings, improving performance and squashing bugs.

ORBITOR is working and fully playable (hopefully fun), has a functioning level select menu and level progression with a few levels to play around in. Approximate game time is around 40 minutes for 1 play through.

It can be graphics intensive and may not perform well on older GPU's and CPU's. We're still optimising and working to make it run as best we can. It hasn't been tested on a wide range of systems but we're using Unity which scales well.

Controls: Keyboard and Xbox controllers are supported. Controller is recommended

We've done our best to minimise bugs and technical issues.

The tutorials are simple but seem effective. We would like to expand and improve them based on feedback and player experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price should stay about the same when ORBITOR leaves Early Access, but it's possible we may have to re-assess the value of the game based on it's quality comparable to similar products at the time of full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be keeping an eye on the forums and social media to see what you guys have to say about ORBITOR and collecting data from playthroughs, which will tell us how you’re playing the game.”

About This Game

ORBITOR is a fast paced sci-fi adventure wrapped up in beautiful visuals, addictive gameplay and an inspiring soundtrack.

Easy to learn, hard to master, the game is accessible to new players but deep enough to allow skill development and advanced gameplay tactics. The open levels allow players to tackle the game any way they like and the game’s fast pace and constantly moving and rearranging orbital systems give the level great replay ability.

The game takes place in space themed environments ranging from nebulas to complex orbital systems. Within the orbital systems (or levels) players must use the orbital controls to lock onto objects, orbit them to gather speed, destroy them and collect the energy life forms they release.

ORBITOR is fast, fun and unique.
