Why Early Access?

“SWORDCAR is the vision of a solo game developer who has created an action-driving game with unique and unusual controls. Early Access will help ease players into this style of gameplay and give us feedback to improve its experience. It will also help us build out the types of challenges that the community loves to play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“SWORDCAR should be in Early Access for at least six months. Player feedback will be instrumental in helping us develop and balance a huge assortment of levels, enemies, and boss battles.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan on building out a much larger and deeper single-player campaign that explores the inner workings of the evil Busy Corp. We're currently working on additional worlds, new levels, and additional cutscenes to tell the story of SWORDCAR. The current game loop features the fundamental components that will be used to build up the challenges and levels that we plan to incorporate in Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“SWORDCAR has a complete arcade-style game loop of several arenas, freeways, and a boss battle, as well as fully-voiced cutscenes and an audio soundtrack to accompany the action.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the price the same during Early Access. The price will increase when SWORDCAR moves from Early Access to complete, as the final version will incorporate several new vehicles and a much larger single-player campaign, as well as future content inspired by player feedback during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to produce several video blogs (vlogs) to document the game development process, as well as communicate with the SWORDCAR community through our Steam page, as well as social media channels including Twitter and Discord.”
