Why Early Access?

“Mt. Aki is in early access because I'd like to develop it with community playtest feedback in mind.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Mt. Aki will be in early access until roughly Jan. 2022.
I want to feel like the core gameplay loop is solid first. It still is at a stage where the game could go down a couple different paths, so I want to wait to make sure people can be confident in what they are thinking about purchasing.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have a lot more features than what is presently completed.
  • Player board and trick unlock system and customization
  • Multiple world generation templates
  • World seed saving / sharing between players
  • A home hub in place of the main menu
  • Much more!

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current early access version just has the player physics, basic tricks and world generation. Things like board/trick unlocks, advanced tricks, and much more are still in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not increase with the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Once I start getting ready for public playtesting I'm planning on being active with the community page as well as starting a discord for more in-depth feedback conversations.”

About This Game

Mt. Aki is a procedurally generated downhill-snowboarding game where you hit ramps and ride rails to rack up high-point combos.
Descend down the endless mountain to unlock new boards and tricks*. (*Tricks are coming very soon)
The procedural terrain and world generation makes sure that you traverse a new route each time you play.
