Hey everyone!
We’ve been polishing the demo again — here’s what’s new and fixed in v0.4 👇


🐞 Fixes
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to start in Chinese under certain conditions.

  • Fixed an issue where buying a Minsgon sometimes removed extra ones from the player’s collection.

  • Fixed a bug causing product rotations to appear incorrectly when placed on the cash register.

  • Fixed an issue where UI dropdowns in Settings were too small.

  • Fixed a bug where products at the Cash Register appeared as “already checked out” before scanning.

  • Fixed UI scaling problems on ultrawide resolutions all interfaces now render correctly!


🪙 Economy Update
  • 🪞 Introduced the new in-game currency “Minscoin (ℳ)” all money visuals and denominations have been redesigned to match the world of Minsgon.

  • Updated all coin and bill assets for better visual consistency and fantasy-style realism.


🥚 Balance Changes
  • Adjusted egg rarity chances — the Spooky Egg now has a higher chance of hatching stronger Minsgons.

  • All eggs now have a very small chance to hatch Epic or Legendary creatures!


💡 Improvements
  • General UI and interaction polish.

  • Improved visual feedback when placing items on surfaces.

FISHERY - Undercover Cheese

Hello everyone!

This week's update includes build 84.

It is smaller than the previous update but stress responses are now back in the game.

The puffer fish now inflate as they become more stressed. In future updates stress responses will vary among all species and in some instances might create an interesting outcome that players may find useful. For example stress certain plants so they release fertility hormones into the water and increase the speed at which fish breed and the number of their offspring per breeding event.

There were also some fixes to the fish shaders. There were quite a few unnecessary calculations that were happening per pixel. There were also some bits of code that computed fish iridescence incorrectly. These are now fixed.

More updates are coming soon!

Well, it's been quite a few patches by now. And there are many more to come! Glad you are all tagging allong!

Improvements

  • Overhauled the tooltip system to simplify how it resets between different scene types (main game, start menu, etc.).
    Players shouldn’t notice any visible changes, but from a development standpoint, it’s now much easier to maintain and far cleaner under the hood. 🧩💻

  • Made several small graphical and particle enhancements to polish visuals and improve overall atmosphere. ✨🌵

  • Added more local ambient sounds in various areas to strengthen the sense of place and environmental immersion. 🎶🏜️

  • Improved several sound effects — for example, the electric blasts during the first boss fight are now clearer and more impactful. ⚡🎧

  • The second boss dungeon should now also feel much cleaner and more balanced in terms of sound. 🎵🏰

  • The shield weapon now features improved 3D sound and new flight sound effects, adding more depth and impact. 🛡️💨

  • Elemental shield skills now come with unique sound effects that match their respective elements, adding extra flavor to each variant. 🔥❄️⚡

Bugfixes

  • You can no longer cheese the first boss at the bridgeHAH! 🧀💀

  • Effects from different items are now allowed to be active simultaneously. (When consuming an item which you already have the effect of, the effect's duration is extended.)

  • Visual effects and text have been added to the checkpoints, to indicate when players are nearby and how many players are still needed.

  • Added texturing to the player's held rope.

  • Adjusts the angles at which players allowed to walk and climb.

  • Fixed a bug where the player stand/crouch icon would overlap with the player's extended energy bar.

  • Fixed a bug where some of the audio feedback for charging jumps and recharging energy wouldn't play.

  • Fixed a bug where players would sometimes periodically slide down ropes/ladders while hanging on to them.

  • Fixed a bug where players would occasionally get forced out of freeclimbing with axes when climbing near platforms.

  • Fixed a bug where the Notchnugget Mushroom was granting an extreme amount of climbing speed.

  1. Fixed the crash issue.

  2. The food item in the supply box inside the prison has been changed from soda crackers to cocoa milk (restores both hydration and energy).

  3. The Medic Station can now be crafted without completing the “Hunter's Path” quest.

  4. Fixed an issue where the game window could not display at the correct aspect ratio in some cases.

Tip:
Players using high refresh rate monitors may experience time slowdown. You can fix this by turning off V-Sync.
