Hello !

The demo received a large update today. It contains many new guns, some rework of existing ones, physics updates, optimisation, and much much more ! A native linux build is also available as well now !

Here is the complete list :

  • added 20mm double mount aa gun,

  • added 20mm quad mount aa gun,

  • added 37mm C30 double mount aa gun,

  • added 37mm Flak42 double mount aa gun,

  • updated single bofor model,

  • updated double bofor model,

  • updated depth charges model,

  • fixed clicking error message bug which would send you to the menu,

  • you can now place an object as long as it is attached to a valid surface,

  • weapons are now rendered on top of everything when selecting them from the primary/secondary menu,

  • added righting force which counteracts ships listing at high speeds,

  • hopefully fixed bug which can happen when trying to read subscribed workshop items,

  • default supply changed from 120 to 150,

  • rebalanced some missions,

  • you now cannot see the position of a ship if underwater (otherwise no need for a sonar against submarines),

  • added a custom cursor,

  • special characters when creating/renaming a ship are now filtered out,

  • block replace tool now also works in mirror mode,

  • optimised shells scripts, lag when having lots of shells in the air should be greatly reduced,

  • fixed undo/redo bug when in armor replacer mode,

  • fixed bug in buoyancy calculation that could lead to ship loss of balance,

  • ships now have half power in reverse,

  • added crane cosmetic,

  • added ammunition rack comestic

  • shells which ricocheted will not be followed anymore by the camera,

  • shells which ricocheted are now counted as non penetrated in damage stats (instead of not displayed at all),

  • with the block replacer tool, the selected block is now highlighted,

  • you can now choose to stay in the battle upon winning,

  • fixed bug where sonar would negate rangefinders view distance buff,

  • added slight wind sound when at high speed (can be heard from 30 knots),

  • deletion ghost object is now rendered on top of everything,

  • added small caliber guns to campaign ships in anticipation for planes,

  • updated single 105 gun model,

  • improved build scene optimisation using gpu indirect instancing (ex : yamato went from 30fps to 120fps),

  • submarines will not go backward anymore when a ship crosses their path, unless they are on direct collision course

My Colony - bastecklein

My Colony v2.3.0 is now live, and you should be able to update your client in Steam right now. Along with the standard bug fixes and dependency updates, this release includes a significant change in which the game is packaged.

Previously, My Colony on Steam was released with the bare minimum shell of it's game data, and would automatically download all of the latest game files when launched. I have decided now that I would start packaging the entire game content bundle with each release. This way if I end up getting hit by a car or all of my servers go down, future players will still be able to download and enjoy My Colony long after I'm gone.

Greetings, innkeepers!

We're pleased to announce that the next update will be released at the beginning of December! In it you can continue the main storyline and go up against the next member of the Fellowship: Kyroh of the Eventide.

New maps and characters

Seven new maps to explore have been added, with over twenty new NPCs. Discover what hides behind the cave at the beach, lose yourself in the new forest area, and find out who lives at the top of the mountain.

In these areas you'll meet characters who will aid you in this new adventure. As well as playing a role in the main storyline, many of them will have their own questlines in the future, in which you'll be able to get to know them better and progress your relationship with them.

The path of the Ninja

As a member of the Fellowship, Kyroh will make for a formidable opponent. To defeat him, you'll have to hone your skills through various quests and outlandish trials.

Arm yourself with courage and ready yourselves for the challenge!

Replayable challenges: single player or with friends

The new update will include a way of replaying the various challenges, both the secondary ones and the main encounters against members of the Fellowship. Compete against yourself or your friends to obtain the highest scores you can!

Future updates

We're currently focused on implementing the main storyline and planned remaining systems. In order to not slow down the pace of updates of what we consider priorities, we've decided to forego seasonal updates such as Halloween.

In future, these seasonal events will be integrated to activate according to the in-game calendar, and will have a lot more depth to them. But for now, we hope you understand our desire to continue working towards filling out the world and characters of the game first.
