M.A.S.S. Builder - V-DGT

Hello everyone! We're back this week with a showcase full of the up-and-coming weapons attachment system. It's a system that's similar to the launcher's attachment we've had before, but they work on your weapons instead. While we only have images to share today, we will provide more information expanding on how it works, and also to show some changes coming to the Launcher's attachment system as well! Stay tuned!

BROK the InvestiGator - COWCAT

After a vote (on which 90% players responded positively or didn't mind) I have decided to change my original decision and implement Steam achievements for The Brawl Bar.

If you already got some in-game, they should unlock automatically at startup. (if not, go to the achievements tab in the menu)

They have separate color icons from the main game achievements.

- Fixed: If a dialogue happens exactly at the same frame the previous one gets killed, the new one doesn't display and it is softlock

Due to a previous rewrite of how players are spawned and respawned some gameModes failed to respawn correctly. This issue is now fixed for all gamemodes except CaptureTheFlag. There are some issues remaining like player velocity not reset on respawn aswell as weapons being kept for gamemodes that should not let players keep weapons on respawn but these issues will be adressed in following updates.
Souls End - Ruu

This week I implemented achievements, some secret score challenges and a system for unlocking Souls. I also spent some time thinking about how I want progress towards the demo and will hopefully have some more interesting content next week!

Bug Fixes

✦ Fixed Death Tag rest choice not making the tag be seen in the compendium.

✦ Fixed Conduit +1 not properly showing its stack amount in its status effect.

✦ Run time should no longer tick on the run end screen.

✦ Fixed some odd edge case UI bugs. (Tooltips are still cooked.)

Other Changes

✦ Now Grob and Ragnarra are locked behind victorious runs. Any previous stats you had earned will be kept even when they are locked.

Nucleares - Iwa

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:

- Fixed bug of dark reflection on some texts depending on camera angle.

- Fixed bug with missing translation of resistance bank panel.

- Fixed bug in the tablet maintenance app where scrolling text would exceed the visual limits.

- Fixed bug with the fuel loading time of generator sets, where it was not affected by the game speed.

- Fixed bug of AO reporting false danger situations right after loading saved progress.

- Fixed several out-of-bounds translations (English).

  • Balanced shopping logic – customers now more often choose lower-quality products.

Final Notice - the coconutted climber
Welcome or Welcome Back!

Today's update includes a new boss, Charon, some added passives and an increased bucket selection for the roguelike mode. This one took a little longer - working on changing the popup system to instead be a chat box that lets you scroll through events, so you've got a history of what's gone on without having to stare at the screen and catch every popup. Next update won't feature a boss due to that - it'll be that upgrade. Stay tuned for that.

Charon, The Ferryman

Ferryman of the underworld, Charon's primary mechanic revolves around him shuffling 15 obols, the currency used to pay the ferryman, into your deck. Charon initially starts out quite strong and is a T2 difficulty boss, but the more obols you play the easier he becomes. Manage to find (or duplicate enough obols) to play 15 of them, and you automatically win the game.

He only plays a single card per turn, save for one card he has that allows him to play 3 for that turn alone, so you don't often have to worry about him chaining off several strong effects, but the cards he has are particularly dangerous if you don't find the obols. Make sure you've got a little card draw, and if you're in the roguelike mode, pray you found a little card draw lmao.

New Passives
  • Divinity Toxin: If you end your turn with a full hand, the boss gains 5 mortis.

  • Death's Calendar: When you play your 60th card, win the game.

  • Smoke Break: At the end of your turns, if you have 50+ mortis, lose 5 mortis.

  • The Button: The first time your hand is empty, stun the boss.

  • Mortis Rebate: After you play a card, lose 2 mortis. (Note - this will NOT prevent you from death by playing a card that would take you to 100 mortis.)

Barghest Improvements

The Barghest boss lacked a few QOL features like a howl counter on the background and, I don't know if anyone else did, but I found the background too bright at times, and sort of annoying, so both have been mended.

Bucket Expansion

More buckets have been added to the roguelike mode, to further diversify what you might be able to build in the roguelike mode. Do report any issues!

  • Big Crate can now release/dump its contents, like the Crate and Bucket.

  • Minor adjustment to how collision sound effects behave.
  • Character collider slightly reduced in thickness.

  • Improved physics interactions (especially between items and containers).
  • Simplified physics model for crate containers.
  • Fixed issue where items could disappear from carts after loading a save.
  • Fixed save/load handling for items stored in larger containers (e.g., carts).

Known Issue:
  • In some cases, containers (e.g., crates) may immediately cause items to stick inside; saving and reloading the game resolves this issue.
Reskue - Al
+ New special effects - godrays for speedup, and CRT for redeemer shot.
+ Reskue: Added 2 new weapons
+ Redeemer - starts controlled flying rocket can do extremely high damage for many targets and 20 shards.
Rocket automatically blows when strike with enemy, any item, even with reflector, and even scientist.
You can avoid walls and clean up dangerous rooms. If you have enough agility of course. Using ICE you can immediatly blow up rocket in any time.
Warning - You cannot walk until rocket is fly. Use in safe space and wisely.
Redeemer can be found only on 1-st level, on yellow card doors.
+ PowerRifle W17 - create acid burst, spreading dangerous very slow clouds until line of shot. Do normal damage but
clouds exists some time. Dont try entering cloud.
+ Enegry weapons now have self-recharging ability and not use standart ammo shots. On panel shows magenta color.
Combo shot with energy weapon slow down ALL existing enemies on room.
+ Train level enabled as Level 13. For NOVICEs
+ Fixed: part walls cannot be get damage. (visuals)
+ Grenade launcher now have own patrons colored red instead green. Maximum ammo euqal maximum normal ammo
+ Fixed: Freezed hero can unfreeze by using "L" key or teleport ability.
Redeemer shot also remove freeze status.
+ Added yellow doors can be opened only yellow keys already existed in game. Yellow safe doors dont remove your key-card.
+ Code,Editor: wTTL time to live ammo.
