We’ve made the difficult decision to officially cancel the development of Into the Depths of Despair.

After much thought, testing, and internal reflection, we at Tzavis Studio have decided to end the project’s development.
While Into the Depths of Despair began with strong creative energy and a lot of effort, as time went on, it became clear that the project no longer represented the vision or standards we want our studio to stand for.

At Tzavis Studio, we believe every game we release should carry genuine inspiration, technical quality, and heart.
When that creative connection fades, forcing it would only lead to something that feels hollow — and that’s not who we are.

We’ve learned a lot through the process, and we’re now channeling that experience into a new project — one that’s very different in tone and design, and much closer to the kind of games we truly want to make.

Thank you to everyone who followed the development, offered feedback, or showed excitement for this game.
Your support keeps us moving forward, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.

  • Mr Magpie has been imbued with a spirit, and has found himself a nicer mustache

Rules Changes:
  • Can now remove cards from deck! Just click on the deck and you can pay to shred cards. Deck is also now capped at 24.

Perk Changes:
  • Added Capacity - Uncommon Perk - At the start of a round, gain +1 mult. Then PERMANENTLY increase this by 1 if the board is full.

  • Removed Incubator

  • Removed Hindsight

  • Changed "The Letter _" to count EVERY instance of that letter among the perks you own. It has also been promoted to rare because it's very powerful now.

  • Changed Bandaid to only work when you flip a non-bloodied JERRY (thanks to players in the discord for breaking it and bringing the broken strategy to our attention!)

  • Promoted Group Synergy to Uncommon and changed the name to Group Feedback to fit with the names of other upgrade perks

QoL Features:
  • Right click to de-emphasize a hint once you're done with it (thanks GothicLordUK for the idea)

  • Added settings option to turn off screenshake

  • Changed lose animation to be kinder on the eyes

  • Can move perks by dragging instead of clicking (clicking also still works)

  • Fixed many miscellaneous bugs

Backrooms Cleanup Crew - dibs

Hello Cleaners!

It’s official: Chapter 2 of Backrooms Cleanup Crew is complete! It’s been an exciting six months since we launched the Early Access version, and we’re super happy with how Chapter 2 turned out. Thanks again to everyone giving feedback and suggestions here and in our Discord - the game has improved significantly since Early Access launch and a large portion of that is thanks to our community.

Additionally, we have a patch that adds a few requested features, makes some improvements to swimming and improvements to object recovery.

Content Additions

  • New rare duck variants

  • Translocational Anomalies in Chapter 1 can now occasionally spawn Ducks

  • New Nametags

Features

  • Suit Logos can now be colored in the customization menu. Any unlocked suit color can be applied to Suit Logos.

  • Added a “Help I’m Stuck!” button in the menu for rare cases where players get stuck.

  • Added a “Complete Mission Early” button for levels that have lore or cinematics beyond the gameplay portion. This button is only available if all players have previously completed the level.

Gameplay Changes

  • Breaching from the water (using the Seminar “Waterfall Development and You Pt. 1”) is now more reliable and powerful.

  • Swimming up or down with Jump or Crouch now matches forward swim speed.

  • Forward and vertical swim speeds no longer stack when looking up, swimming forward, and holding Jump.

  • A hint is now displayed when spraying Spray Shields without Sigil Power.

Gameplay Improvements

  • Improved object recovery when items are lost in the level.

  • Improved behavior of objects incorrectly recovering when not lost.

  • Improved Ragdoll recovery when lost or stuck.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing Level 2-04’s lighting to look very different between Lumen and non-Lumen settings.

  • Fixed multiple spots in levels where if an object was lost it would fail to recover.

Starting now, we’re full speed ahead on Chapter 3! We've got a lot of exciting plans for new locations to clean and explore, new gameplay types, and more. Please look forward to it!

Hello ISLANDERS, and welcome to our FIRST seasonal update!

We’ve got a special update and patch notes to share today, it’s our first Seasonal Update AND we’ve also added an accessibility option for using the gamepad controls based on the first ISLANDERS game.

  • Added → New Biome "Halloween" (accessible via challenge mode, or sandbox mode. You will NOT be able to select “Halloween” biome via the main journey mode)

  • Added → New sandbox items (pumpkins, gravestones, spooky trees, candle variant items)

  • Added → New Boon "Replace": Discard the buildings you have the most copies of in your building bar, and draw 1.5 as many new ones at random

  • Added → New reward: camera filter, unlocked via challenge "Clairvoyage"

  • Added → New reward: Aviary building facade, unlocked via challenge "Ghost Whisperer"

  • Added → New spooky music for the “Halloween” biome

What is in the Free Seasonal Update? We love Halloween and wanted to capture the essence of spooky season!
A new biome has been created called "Halloween" which features all the new sandbox items, new music, and it can be played via challenge mode or sandbox mode.

4 New Challenges, 2 rewards, and a new boon! We thought we'd have a little fun and experiment with unlocking rewards for completing challenges, let us know if you liked, or disliked, unlocking rewards via challenges!

  • Ghost Whisperer - Starts with two statues with wisps. Your positive building scores will only count if you also score against a wisp.

    • Challenge REWARD! - Successfully score 5000+ points to unlock the Aviary Façade.

  • Clairvoyage - Play for the best Fortune Teller placement possible. Your building draw limit will never decline. Your highest Fortune Teller score is submitted to the leader board.

    • Challenge REWARD! - Successfully score 850+ points to unlock the Halloween Filter.

  • Can't Stop, Won't Stop - Travel over 10 islands but you only get 3 minutes per island. For each building scoring 20+ points you get an additional 10 seconds.

  • Industrious - Start with a building bar full of industrial buildings and plenty of boons to help you out, but earn no further packs.

  • NEW BOON - "Replace": Discard the buildings you have the most copies of in your building bar, and draw 1.5 as many new ones at random

Harrowed World: Portents In Red - Alex | Harrowed World

Harrowed World is taking a bold step into the realm of dice, character sheets, and imagination. Work has officially begun on a tabletop roleplaying game adaptation of the dark gothic setting, tentatively titled Harrowed World Tabletop. While the name may change as development progresses, the project promises to deliver an immersive experience that captures the haunting beauty and deep depths of Harrowed World in a new way.

 

🎲 Bringing Harrowed World to the Table(top)

The upcoming TTRPG will adapt the lore of Harrowed World for pen and paper play, starting with the insidious vampires of the setting. Players will step into the shadows as these immortal predators, navigating ancient power struggles, secret pacts, and blood-soaked intrigue.

 

But vampires are only the beginning. Over time, Harrowed World Tabletop will expand to include the full array of creatures that populate the world, from magical folk to the mysterious Beholders, humans who possess the rare ability to sense the supernatural. This gradual expansion is designed to keep the world growing and evolving, allowing players to explore every dark corner of Harrowed World.

 

💀 Designed for Dynamic Encounters

While vampires will take centre stage initially, interplay between different creature types will be a key part of the experience. Whether through NPC interactions orchestrated by a game master or direct play between player characters of different creature types.

 

This emphasis on cross-creature dynamics adds layers of storytelling potential, allowing groups to craft campaigns filled with uneasy alliances, supernatural scheming, and moral dilemmas that blur the line between monster and human.

 

🦇 A Custom System Forged in Darkness

Instead of adopting the widely used d20 system, Harrowed World Tabletop will feature a custom-built system created specifically for this world. The decision serves a dual purpose, avoiding licensing complications while also giving creative freedom to design mechanics that fully embody the dark and disturbing tone of Harrowed World.

 

While details of the mechanics remain under wraps, the plan is for flexibility and narrative depth to take precedence over crunch heavy gameplay. The goal is to create a system that feels fluid, dangerous, and emotionally charged, where every roll of the dice carries weight.

 

 

💬 Early Stages and Community Involvement

The project is still in its early stages of development and is not yet playable. The announcement comes earlier than originally planned due to growing community interest and discussions that encouraged pulling back the curtain sooner than expected.

 

Fans eager to get involved will have a chance to help shape the game’s future, though not right away. Playtesting opportunities are planned for members of the Harrowed World Community Discord server at a later stage of development, once the project reaches a playable state.
