NONEWORLD Steam Next Fest Update!

Hello everyone and happy Next Fest! This October is very special, as it can only mean 3 things: Steam Next Fest, Halloween and Millie's Birthday!

With the release of our Prologue Demo, let's dive into some development updates and more!

NEXT FEST UPDATE

NONEWORLD is developing smoothly and making great progress. We're currently wrapping up final development on Chapter 2, while also focusing our efforts on visual and narrative improvements.

UI updates, icon overhauls, menu reworks, increased accessibility, and general polishing has been a big focus recently. And while we unfortunately weren't able to ship many of these changes, they'll be ready for launch!

We've also doubled down on combat and item balancing, code refactoring and many new quality of life features. This means we can approach development on the final chapter of NONEWORLD without worrying about technical debt! (It also just makes my life a little easier..)

PROLOGUE DEMO

We've shipped our Prologue Demo for NONEWORLD - a small vertical slice introducing our game and universe, without spoiling too. Funny enough, we actually had to go in and remove a lot of narrative content to ensure there wasn't too much being revealed. So rest assured, there's still lots more to see!

I hope you've all been enjoying the demo! Feel free to join our Discord to send feedback on your experience too, we're open to just about anything.

Add Loot Boxes? FPS mechanics? Sure, we'll hear just about anything out! (not really).

Fair Play Announcement (October 3rd, 2025 – October 9th, 2025)

Once Human - Once Human

Dear Metas,

From October 3rd to October 9th, Once Human banned a total of 204 Players. This includes 136 players penalized for cheating, 42 accounts suspended for alt-account exploitation and linked violations, 26 players penalized for malicious interference.

Because the AI model is still being updated, backend monitoring data shows there is still a slight chance of false bans being triggered. If you have any questions or concerns about a penalty, please submit an appeal through the in-game appeal screen. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We are fully committed to ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all players. Our team continues to optimize the monitoring and penalty systems that maintain a healthy game environment. Future updates will introduce more features and safeguards to further strengthen fairness and improve the overall player experience. Thank you for your patience and support.

The game already includes features such as real-time ticker display of banned Metas and synchronization of character ban status with friends and search bar visibility. If you discover new violations, please report them through the official reporting channel. We will review and address unfair behavior as quickly as possible. Let's work together to maintain a fair and healthy game environment and combat malicious actions. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Below is a list of players recently penalized for severe violations. The accounts involved have been reviewed and confirmed to be in violation. For any questions, please contact in-game customer support.

1. Language violations

From October 3rd to October 9th, 2025, a total of 242 players received bans of varying durations for language violations:

30 days — 6 players

7 days — 14 players

1 day — 167 players

2 hours — 55 players

(Due to space limitations, we do not provide the list of players banned for speech violations.)

We've been paying close attention to feedback regarding the chat restriction system and have launched a focused optimization effort. Improvements include upgraded smart filtering to reduce false positives and better manual review processes for more accurate judgment. We'll continue refining this system to make communication smoother.

2. Use of cheats or hacks

We will identify the characteristics of newly discovered cheats and use them for retroactive investigations. After banning an account, we will check if it has any associated "alt" accounts and ban those as well.
