Planet Coaster 2 - Frontier Chantal

Today we’re celebrating the first anniversary of Planet Coaster 2 – what a year it’s been! Since launch, we’ve been taking on board your feedback, releasing seven significant free base game updates, which introduced meaningful changes, quality of life improvements, and new content, including four returning themes, two coasters, three flat rides, and hundreds of scenery pieces!  Alongside plenty of free updates, we also introduced additional PDLC packs to take your parks to the next level, including the recently released Sorcery Pack, containing a brand-new theme and five exciting new rides that bring a little magic to your park.

We absolutely love seeing your creations on the Frontier Workshop as well as on socials, and we can’t wait to see what you continue to create in the future as you push the boundaries of creativity!

To celebrate the anniversary of Planet Coaster 2, today we are bringing back a real fan-favourite from the original Planet Coaster, the Interactive Shooting Ride.

This tracked ride will challenge your guests’ aim, as they fire at targets in pursuit of a high score. You can also put your own skills to the test by taking the controls for yourself! This will also come with a Western-themed blueprint, Bounty Hunter, which pits your gunslingers against some dastardly outlaws. Can your park guests achieve the Sheriff’s gold star?

The future is bright for Planet Coaster 2 with even more exciting content on the way later this year and beyond. We thank you for joining us as we build this thrilling ride together.

【About Achievements in the Main Game】
We’ve added a number of new achievements for the new chapter, *Last Command: B-Side*.
However, DLC achievements cannot be separated from the base game.
As a result, the recent addition of new achievements may affect the progress display for players.

But don’t worry!
We’ve prepared solution to help players who only own the base game restore their “100% Achievements” badge through a special in-game process.
Even if you later decide to purchase and experience *Last Command: B-Side*, your gameplay will remain unaffected.

For affected players, please wait for the upcoming update for the base game, and follow the instructions shown on the in-game achievements page to restore your progress.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support!

Deluded - sunraysteam
Hey there! Another entry into our Diaries! 📖

In one of the previous posts I covered the character’s main attributes, their perks and other stuff. Recently, the devs took some time to elaborate on the skills in our game and that’s what I’d like to talk about today.

As always, knowing how complex Deluded is (and is planned to be), we just cannot leave you without these devlogs—and I hope you find them useful to read. 😉

What are skills in Deluded?

Skills are attributes that grow through repeated in-game actions. For example, repairing various devices will increase your Engineering skill, going for fishing will increase your Fishing skill, etc.

You’ve already had a chance to see some of the skills in the game like Cooking, Makeup, Theft, Fishing and Engineering. But we’ve got a lot more planned.

Skills progression

Choosing similar actions that require skill when interacting—whether with items or NPCs—will сontribute to said skills progression.

Additionally, skills can be upgraded by reading special magazines scattered around the game world (4 for each skill). These magazines can boost skills by 5 points.

Each skill can go up to 100 points, and reaching 25, 50, 75, 100 points respectively grants certain perks.

Skill level cannot be decreased and skill perks cannot be removed, permanently or temporarily.

Skill checks are done through dialogues and they look like this:

[Engineering 40 >>>] *Repair the car*

List of Skills and Perks

Below is the list of all 9 skills we plan to include in the game, each with 4 perks that are achieved by reaching the relative milestones. This setup might not be final and may change during testing and according to your feedback, but here’s what we’re currently aiming for:

東方凸凹遊戯 - Toorun12
Hello everyone, this is Toorun12, the developer of 東方凸凹遊戯.

First of all, thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth (電話帳の右端。) during Autumn-Touhou Festivals called 秋例大祭.
As a limited demo, we had shown two new playable characters in the festival.
They`ll join the game in the next update, so please looking forward to it a bit longer!

In this update, we've made several changes based on player feedback and reported issues.

Skill
On previous version, Chimata (千亦)`s skill could cause the currently controlled mino or its ghost to become embedded in the terrain when the board fills up. after this update, this will never happened.

For Multi-players match
When playing with 3 or more players, the radar chart and skill description for your currently selected character will now be shown properly.

Stage Select
Fixed a bug where, after clicking the gear icon with the mouse and then using the keyboard to go back, the game would sometimes return even to the main solo menu.

Chara select
When you clicking without hovering over any character icon,
the click will no longer select a character by accident.

Online
"ランキング(Ranking)" has been added! (I`m Sorry we haven`t yet set the English name)
After you Entering the online menu, your records will automatically be uploaded.
Use the left/right keys to view different rankings — including results from "minigame"s.

ギャラリー
When you set some “Favorite Track” checkbox in the music menu, any newly added songs will now have the checkbox enabled by default.

And,
Known Issue – Online Multiplayer

There is a known bug under the following conditions:
1. You purchased the game before June 2, 2025
2. You have participated in online matches
3. You start a 3+ player online battle
4. You become Game Over

In that case, the Game Over sound may repeatedly play.
To fix this, please go to the online menu again after reselecting your Favorite Character from the character settings screen.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience!

--------------------------------
That’s all for this update.
If you have any feedback, please let us know.

We are also accepting suggestions for improvements on the official Discord for "東方凸凹遊戯," so feel free to join if you’re interested!

That’s it for now — we’ll keep working hard towards the next update!

Demo version 0.7 is out now!

Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback!

Our priority right now is to nail down the game's "Quality of Life" and ensure the first hour of the game is as smooth as it can be.

Important: The save from the previous version will no longer work. We can't guarantee saves stay valid during the demo version and they will not be valid once the game is released.

As always, you can join us on our discord to give us feedback or relay issues you had: https://discord.gg/vdpcGMf4Nj

New content
  • Unlocking the sixth era for the demo

  • Creative mode: When starting a new save after finishing the tutorial, the player can pick creative mode

  • Rebalanced some missions to make them a bit harder and their reward more interesting

  • Added markets: Subjects go to and from the market at all time of the day, making the city seem more lively

Changes
  • UI: Total change to the artstyle, layout and font

  • UI: Added a little indicator showing off how much the item counts changed over 24 in-world hours

  • Control: Camera rotation now available using Q/E keys on qwerty keyboard, A/E on azerty keyboard

  • Control: Camera motion now available using arrow keys (WASD was already implemented)

  • Control: Inversed direction of zoom when using mouse wheel

  • Control: Added option to move buildings by clicking them (Unlocked in the second era)

  • Control: Improved road placing. Click and drag to preview the road. Release to actually place the road.

  • Control: Camera rotation is now SHIFT + RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON to avoid canceling out placing when rotating camera

  • Control: Destroying buildings requires one left click per building, removing the issue where you could destroy a building behind the one you wanted to destroy

  • Control: Clicking on the button for unique buildings when its already placed will move the camera to that building

  • Control: When placing buildings, the preview snaps to the nearest valid location if there is one close enough

  • Tutorial: Building rotation introduced during the prologue rather than in the first era

  • Tutorial: Mentionning the keyboard controls in the tutorial steps

  • Settings: Added brightness slider

  • Added auto save: At the start of every day or when leaving, the game saves (controllable in settings)

  • Localization: Added French and Spanish (more languages to come)

Tweaks
  • Improved winter visuals with actual snow

  • Removed console window

  • New logo

  • Balancing: Well workers produce water 20% faster

  • Balancing: Increased the base amount of food storage. Some player wanted to unlock the granary sooner but the early eras are already too packed with new mechanics so we will just do this for now.

  • Capping frame rate to 140 FPS to avoid straining devices with a very high monitor refresh rate.

  • "Missing embellishments" warning now provides an actual number of embellishments to place

  • Changed the ambient track a bit to have birds chirping

  • Small changes to the world geometry

  • End of era celebrated with a haiku

  • Improvement to the way cards are 3D rendered

  • Tweaks to summer color correction

  • Tooltip explains more clearly that all resources are given back when destroying buildings

  • Subjects can now pathfind through water so they aren't stuck in their houses as soon as water starts flooding them

  • Description of pathways makes clear the speed differential between walking on grass (very slow) and pathways (x3 speed)

  • Trees also turn red when the building is being hovered while the destruction tool is selected

  • Much slower subject speed in grass

  • Grass on some ledges

  • When placing buildings, a small margin is allowed for wrong terrain type (for example a quarry can have a few of its tiles on a grass tile)

  • Performance improvement on subject rendering and subject logic (trying to address stuttering issues during worship)

  • Showing how much stone clearing ruins gets you

Bugs fixed
  • Addressing low brightness issue on some monitors

  • Fixed shadows not appearing on some devices

  • Fixed narration text and card text not appearing properly in card screen

  • Fix to UI elements not appearing at the right location on high dpi or 4k screens

  • When the narration talks about hovering buildings to inspect them, you can actually do it right at that point in the narration

  • Removed "+0 item" from appearing over subject heads

  • Fixed issue where saves were considered invalid despite not being corrupted

  • WASD works even when the mouse is over UI

  • Fixed issue where cards were inspectable when they are stacked on one another

Future
  • There has been report of issues around the reporting from the scribe building. We are still investigating why the count can sometimes be off, especially culture.

  • Still trying to figure out how to improve camera motion around zooming. Your input on this is invaluable

  • Grid when placing: We tried this out but it is hard to make: the grid ends up concealed below the grass. We will continue to explore this

  • Show how far a subject can go from a given house: this feels like an important bit of information to communicate and we will explore ways to display it

  • Better overview of the city: A lot of people asked for more detailed information about their production. It is something we will explore but it's complicated: a field doesn't have a fix amount it produces every day. It depends on the number of workers but also the time the workers take just to ge to work. And there is such a thing as too much info in kind of casual game like this. To be explored.

  • Did you know? You can hold down the left button when placing buildings to place a bunch in a row. We probably want to communicate this to player one day

  • Panoramic mode with no UI

  • Up to now, the subject's worship has been quite vague and undefine. We are going to more precisely define the nature of their cult in future version

  • In the end game, subject assignment to different location can be a bit slow. We will make sure it happens faster in coming versions
