There are a lot of improvements, but the biggest one is definitely the intro part!

🛠️ Never Be Alone – Patch Notes v0.21

Survivors, Patch v0.21 is here! This update introduces military enemies, new weapons, collectibles, and several visual and gameplay improvements.

🔧 Fixes & Improvements
  • Fixed chicken interaction data being incorrect.

  • Fixed beard bug when loading a completely default character.

  • Added icon for death bag – easier to locate in tall grass.

  • Fixed bandits and scavengers having poor vision – they now properly detect players.

  • Improved inventory clarity at night for better visibility.

🧩 New Content & Features
  • Added 8 collectible plushies to find and place in your base.

  • Added 14 new decorative items for base building.

  • Added Military enemies – they spawn randomly on the second island, use accurate aim, and deal high damage.

  • Added FN SCAR-L – obtainable from the Wandering Trader or as high-value loot on the second island.

  • Added new weapons to the Wandering Trader’s shop.

🏗 Work in Progress & Future Plans
  • Military faction bunker in development: a heavily guarded base that will require either powerful explosives or advanced lockpicks to access. Inside, you’ll find valuable military loot and elite enemies.

this patch adds the first version of a tutorial and includes some UI polishing and bugfixes.

Added

  • Dynamic tutorial that should explains most screen when showing up the first time, (can be reset in gameplay options)

  • Keywords in dice tooltips should be highlighted now.

Fixes and Polish

  • fixed sometimes dice becoming transparent before rolling.

  • fixed wrong keyword tooltips for hero skills.

  • replaced uneven dice texture.

  • fixed reroll button greying out for dice that automatically reroll.

  • fixed some missing keyword explanation for effects not showing up.

  • fixed sometimes a rune being applied twice.

  • fixed some item animation being stuck in a weird state.

It’s been a while since the last update — the “demo on the horizon” post didn’t quite age as planned. But development hasn’t stopped for a second. I’ve been focusing on improving how the game feels to play and look at, and it’s finally starting to come together.

The Base Feels Alive

The management base has received a big upgrade. NPCs now move around, heroes have new idle animations, and the environment finally feels like a space where people actually live and work — not just a static menu.

Combat and a New Hero

Combat has been reworked for better feedback and clarity. Ultimates now slow time and darken the surroundings for more dramatic impact.

Two new heroes have joined the roster:

  • Gunner, a ranged damage dealer specializing in precision shots.

  • Fighter, a melee powerhouse with wide swings and heavy impact.

Added curios to scouting! They make each trip less predictable. You can now find strange objects that offer rewards or risks.

Hi there!

Better late than never, like they say (I was in the hospital).

My Name is... is taking part in Steam next. I uploaded a demo some time ago, marked as 0.2V, and launched a few days later new version 0.3 and working on a new version marked 0.4, which you can watch on stream.

=== 0.3 Changelog ===

- Forest level improving

- fixing bugs with protagonist transformations

- fixing bug where the pink door on the 2nd level is not working

- adding 3rd level only for info of playing demo (with big surprise)

=== In incoming 0.4 ===

- Forest and Assylum will gain new locations.

- Bosses: Phobophobia and Xylophobia (or hylophobia) are added; they have unique AI

- New mid-boss: Phasmophobia;

- working on improving AI and fixing bugs where AI on the wall or ceiling are acting strangely.

- Mid-Boss: Light and dark will act differently; light is gonna search for the player, while dark goes berserk.
