# Progress Report

Journey Express is coming to Steam Early Access soon! I hope to have a release date sorted out in the near future! I can't wait to hear your feedback on what is done so far!

Since the last update, I've been on bug patrol fixing lots of issues all over the place and polishing rough areas. My focus going forward will be playtesting and building out any remaining functionality that I find to be missing ahead of Early Access.

## Release notes:

  • Feature: Implement more character traits

  • Enhancement: Polish UI in a few places (dialog and crossing manager)

  • Enhancement: Improve debugging tools in runtime

  • Enhancement: Tune fog across several weather presets

  • Enhancement: Optimize biome check for each map cell -- now much more efficient than before

  • Fix: Fix issue with held items in exploration

  • Fix: Fix deserialization issue losing track of injuries and sicknesses from save file

  • Fix: Fix null reference exceptions from updating party status UI too early on scene load

  • Fix: Fix water shader not respecting fog

  • Fix: Resolve issue causing splats to not update for given season in exploration

  • Fix: Fixed issue preventing river crossing UI from working

  • Fix: Added missing caption to traveling salesman event dialog

  • Change: Make overrides more explicit in the exploration code for desert and mountains to fix various issues

  • Change: Remove calls to UI that no longer is used in exploration (HUD)

  • Change: Increase base walk and run speeds in exploration (again)

This is a tiny update, here's what has changed:
- Added a button in the shop to view your current deck
- Added autosaves to help prevent progress-loss in case of an unexpected app termination
- Improved stability on certain laptops
- Fixed Even and Defusal twist conditions
- Fixed placing two 'Next' cards on top of each other causing a crash, now it will act as expected

That's it for now, I'm working on a few more features that will hopefully be ready in a few days.
