The shooting change alone for this patch should make the game's combat feel much smoother/different, not to mention the changes to the WREN fight in The End; there's also a lot of bugfixes, cutscene additions, and more!

HOW TO REFRESH/UPDATE TO THE NEW PATCH:
In the steam client, right click on the game in your library list, select properties from the dropdown list, then in the Local files tab select Verify integrity of game cache.
If everything verifies correctly then you should have the latest patched release on the Steam servers.

SHOOTING/ATTACK MECHANICS CHANGE:
Shooting (normal shots) has had a small, but very significant change
Mashing the attack button will now allow you to fire as fast as you want, up to a maximum cap
This should make shooting feel a LOT smoother and certain enemies/bosses indirectly easier to defeat
STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS ADDED:
All 50 in-game achievements are now Steam Achievements as well
If you'd unlocked achievements prior, you'll have them automatically unlocked through this patch
Additionally, all 50 in-game achievements are now completely achievable (there were some that weren't in prior versions)
There will be more Steam Achievements added in future patches, too
WREN (BOSS OF THE END) FIGHT REBALANCING:
While we won't be giving this treatment to any other bosses in the game, WREN was frustrating a significant amount of people, so we've decided to weaken him for this patch
We'll likely rebalance him in the future based on player feedback from this version of him, too
For those disappointed in this change, WREN might get an optional "superboss" version of him in the future, which will make him far harder than he was even before this patch
Here's the specific changes we made to him though:
Removed 1 "cycle" of the fight, you only have to beat two phases now, instead of a second loop of the same two phases
His movement speed (running, dashing) reduced by 10%
Cooldown for of his all attacks increased by 10%
Added a minor extra delay of "telegraphing" certain moves before performing them (dashing, uppercutting, jumping)
All of his damage output reduced by 10%
Shield duration (time between WREN's shield swapping colour) increased by 50% (from 5 seconds to 7.5 seconds)
Shield health also reduced by 10%
WREN's Phase 2 health reduced by 10%
If players are still unable to win, we've added an optional further reduction the game will prompt the player with; if they choose to do so, all of WREN's stats/values will be reduced a further 20%

Extended the time before a secret variant triggers with a certain scene in the Uncharted Wildwoods
Fixed an improper doorway connection leading you into a softlock between End Map 19 and 26 in The End
Changed the upper-left portion of the map of P6M4 in the Gratification Factory, to allow players to flip gravity back if they've accidentally hit the switch here, so they don't have to repeat the entire platforming puzzle from the beginning
Fixed Faye "left behind checks" scenes in the "in-between" maps for each level so they'll actually initiate
Fixed Faye H-scene in the Uncharted Wildwoods to properly have climax animation
The "Docile Jumperbot" in P5M3 of the Gratification Factory no longer infinitely respawns after being killed
The camera will no longer jump to the bottom of the stage during the scene that plays after beating the Celodst Emperor
The variant with Cviha in P1M3 of the Volcanic Mines that plays if you talked to Cain first, now plays properly
Adjusted P4M2 in the Volcanic Mines to prevent a forced situation where player would have to kill enemies or take damage to progress
Faye's NSFW scene in the Uncharted Wildwoods no longer still triggers if she's prevented from showing up there
The intro to the Uncharted Wildwoods will no longer repeat if you go to a certain area of the map
Fixed the scene in P4M5 of the Celodst Resupply from happening even if you'd already killed DAVE, and prevented it from happening again after it'd already happened
Fixed snowballs being visible at the top of the screen before they fell, in P4M2 of the Celodst Resupply
Put the correct audio on a tab of Koopar's scene in End Room 7 of The End
Fixed a secret scene in the Uncharted Wildwoods so that it only plays when it should

Correct audio now plays during one line of the "shadowy lady's" intro in the Volcanic Mines
"Left Faye Behind" scenes in "in-between" maps now have proper audio
OTHER THINGS/FIXES:
The wormhole visuals on the mega-map for The End have been adjusted to notclip into map walls/ceilings/floors
The Dildo powerup now works again, after being broken in the last patch
A softlock that would prevent you from progressing after defeating WREN has been fixed

Engage in combat against multi-phase boss encounters inspired by MMO raid bosses, each with their own exhilarating mechanics and unique abilities. Take on the Siegebreaker, a colossal mech war machine; spill the blood of the Abomination, a terrible experiment gone awry; or defend a rooftop against a gunship blazing with weapons.
Campaign Mode
Make your way through 3 out of 6+ shattered districts before reaching the culmination of your journey in Wargentin District, the dark heart of the Zerzura Exclusion Zone.
Draft Mode
Inspired by drafting formats in CCGs, draft mode starts you off with a veritable arsenal of data shards. Unseal your shards, draft the cards within to create your decks, and then take those decks into battle against an unforgiving gauntlet of randomized, escalating boss encounters. How far can you get before you succumb to the most dangerous enemies in Zerzura?
Meta-progression
Earn Mnemosynth through your runs, and use these synthetic memories to permanently imprint cards into your collection through the Failsafe system. The added cards can be carried over to the next run, greatly enhancing your deck’s power.

Amazing to see everyone enjoying Dark Carnival and Bards! This is a quick hotfix to address a couple of issues that we’ve had reported on the update. Most pressing is players have been able to get into a state where they are no longer able to move after interacting with a Town Market - either buying, trading items, or shift to inspect - across single player and multiplayer games. We also fixed a couple of issues that we were seeing with loading into certain dungeons in save files from the previous game version.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the issue where players would no longer be able to move after interacting with Town Markets.
Fixed an online softlock during the Dark Carnival Wheel of Fate that could happen when the active player spun the wheel while a non-active player was changing their viewed wedge.
Fixed an issue with previous save games causing a softlock when continuing or loading into specific dungeons across overworld adventures.
Fixed a softlock caused by the Floating Chest encounter when the “Fight” outcome was rolled by the player.
Fixed an issue where players were unable to press/click “Continue” on the Adventure Summary if any of the party members didn’t generate any stats.
Fixed a softlock that could happen when buying from a market with a controller or keyboard.
Thanks again for everyone’s feedback and input so far. We are love seeing everyone post early leader board scores, chatting on the various elements in the Dark Carnival, and the return of the Bards!
