This update contains important bug fixes and a revision of the Lost Island Map.
The interface of the Lost Island Map has been optimized and structurally adapted. Particular attention was paid to improving the frame rates. As a result, significant increases of around 20 to 30 FPS were achieved (depending on the hardware).
The two other DLC maps now also have improved frame rates.
On Ultra settings, you can now expect to achieve around 60 to 80+ FPS (depending on the hardware).
Quarterly Events and Battle Passes have been replaced by new game mechanics: Season, Seasonal Event, and Season Pass!
Seasons
This is a new game mechanic that allows players to receive additional new content every 3 months, often coinciding with the arrival of a new season.
Each season has a different theme, which can be the same for the entire Year called Act, or completely different from season to season.
There are 4 seasons within one Act. The current season, Slavic Spring, is from Act 1 and is season zero. In Act 1, there will be as many as 5 seasons instead of 4, so that players can purchase the items and equipment they want. Each Act will have its own name, for the convenience of the players.
Each season now offers players a progress bar similar to the free Battle Pass.
As the season progresses, players can receive: unique seasonal content, consumables and materials that facilitate gameplay, as well as a special currency - battle coupons. Throughout the season, various updates with different content are possible. Each season has its own key rewards and final reward.
Season progression increases as Season Points are earned. A reward is provided at each level. The higher the level - the better the reward!
Among the main sources of getting seasonal points:
Out of season event:
During a seasonal event:
Completing the main storyline;
Completing the daily seasonal tasks (described below);
Obtaining Act Tokens (described below).
Participating in the event itself;
Receiving a daily bonus;
Completing weekly seasonal challenges;
Completing seasonal challenges.
Outside of the seasonal event, players will receive far fewer seasonal points than during the event, because that's the way it is! After the seasonal event, there will be additional sources of seasonal points.
Thus the season is divided into three phases: - Warm-up before the seasonal event (few sources of seasonal points); - Seasonal event (many sources of seasonal points); - The final stage (average number of seasonal point sources).
At the end of the Seasonal Event, players will be able to earn Seasonal Points for some in-game activities in the open world.
Seasonal event
These are familiar to everyone events. The Seasonal Event significantly expands the number of sources of Seasonal Points, which means that during the event players can significantly increase their Seasonal Progress and get a lot of themed rewards!
Season pass
This is a new in-game entity that works similarly to the old Premium Battle Pass. The Season Pass allows players to unlock additional themed rewards, camouflages and unique motifs, as well as extra materials and some more coupons.
In addition to various consumables, themed keychains, and paints, there are a certain number of key rewards in the season battle pass.
Among the key rewards are unique seasonal paints and coupons, as well as various veteran gear. This equipment will allow a player who has recently started to conquer the Zone to make his gameplay a little easier, as it includes a set of "Veteran" level from armor, primary and secondary weapons, as well as melee weapons.
This time we have not forgotten about hardened masters and prepared for them a special, Final Award - master weapon. For this season it is the RPL-20 Light Machine Gun. This weapon is currently unique and will only be available as part of the final reward of the current season until at least the end of Act I.
Once you reach level 500 and receive a reward, you can continue to increase your progress, now it's even more profitable as there is a new recurring reward mechanic.
Each level up now earns you rewards in a repeating cycle. Once you've earned rewards for all five levels, a new cycle with the same rewards will begin.
These mechanic is designed to make the rewards more varied, but still leaves the seasonal crates that players love!
You can view all the rewards within the game by clicking on the "VIEW ALL REWARDS" button on the progress screen.
Motifs
Motifs is a new customization element that allows you to change the name, description and paint pattern of your gear without changing its silhouette. Now you can customize your gear even better! Motives are worn in the Motives / Appearances slot.
Motifs also allow you to keep the memories of a particular Seasonal Event and will not be lost when removed, even if you have a copy of the issued weapon that you have already upgraded.
Tickets
Tickets are a new currency used as part of the Season Pass. You can only get them through seasonal rewards!

Additional Tickets can be obtained from the Tickets Boxes. Within the current season, the "Slav's Coffer" and "Slavic boyar chest" are available. They are obtained at 250 and 400 level respectively if you have a Season Pass.
"Slav's Coffer" is guaranteed to give 100 Tickets and, if you're lucky, 50 to 100 additional Tickets.
"Slavic boyar chest" is guaranteed to give 200 Tickets and, if you are lucky, 50 to 100 additional Tickets.
The player can exchange Tickets for equipment and consumables at an NPC named "Commerce":
Tickets are converted to Trade Coins at the end of each Act!
So what is being sold for Tickets?
Season Pass, in non-personalized form;
Weapon and armor blueprints from the seasonal crate that are available this season. You can now buy missing blueprints with Tickets if RNG god has been unkind to you;
Equipment to speed up your progress and diversify your gameplay. From beginner to veteran level;
Various consumables, materials, parts, seasonal crates, etc.
And, most importantly, an Albatross Heavy Assault Armored Exoskeleton for Tickets!
"Assault Exo", like "Gauss", can be acquired piece by piece, which will naturally take more than one season, as it is legendary level gear.
We have separated the Albatross Heavy Assault and the Gauss-Rifle into blueprints so that you don't have to necessarily play every season to collect them.

Seasonal challenges
Seasonal challenges must be completed in order to receive Battle Pass points. Seasonal challenges include: daily challenges, weekly challenges and trials.
Weekly challenges and trials will only be available as part of a seasonal event.
Daily seasonal challenges are challenges that you will receive every day during the season. Seasonal points and challenge tokens are awarded for completing a challenge. For 25 challenge tokens, you will receive a special reward.
If you do not like a challenge, you can replace it using the "Replace challenge" function.
The number of remaining challenge replacements is updated at the beginning of each day
Season points for completing the storyline
Starting this season, Season Points will be awarded for completing the main storyline. Up to 50,000 Season Points will be awarded for completing the main storyline, which is equivalent to 50 seasonal levels.
For everyone who has already completed the Storyline before, these points will be sent to the in-game mail!
This will help new players speed up their progress a bit. And more experienced wanderers will be more comfortable starting a new game, for example, for a different faction.
Season Pass Bundles
As before, we are introducing Season Pass bundles into the game, which offer a significant benefit to players.
The more levels in the bundle - the greater the benefit. For those who are used to achieving everything on their own, we still offer the possibility to buy the "Basic" version of the season pass.
Transferable Season Pass bundles can be purchased an unlimited number of times and do not burn out after the end of the season and can exist for an unlimited amount of time.
Only one Season Pass can be activated on each CHARACTER.
Buying levels in sets for a profit.
Completing Seasonal Challenges and participating in an Event is not the only way to get Seasonal Points.
You can still purchase Battle Pass levels as before. We made them cheaper and it became more profitable to buy levels.
In addition, the principle of buying levels has been changed - now levels are bought in sets. You can enter your number of levels and they are automatically grouped into bundles.
The more levels the bundle contains, the greater your benefit!

Revised style crate rewards - removed repair parts and increased the amount of anomalous dust dropped, as well as 50 crates now required to be opened before receiving a guaranteed reward.

ntegrated silencers limit the weapon's choice of attachments, making them more useful than standard silencers in most situations to compensate for this. Therefore, we remove the penalty to aiming speed from the previously mentioned silencers.
Quests
Parts in rewards
Parts of the same type and quantity as tools have been added to quests where tools were previously awarded.
If you completed quests after 2/15/2024 with tools in the reward, we will send you parts by mail.
BP points for the main story
BP points are now awarded for completing story quests. Players who have completed key quests will be compensated when they log in.
Other changes
Changing the mechanics of upgrade artifacts
Now artifacts become personal when charging or overloading.
Gamedesign department comment
upgrade their artifacts for a long time and made this decision, since artifacts were often improved for energy on other characters. From our point of view, this is not the correct work of mechanics.
You can still upgrade the artifact and transfer it using reset energy, but now this mechanism will be significantly more expensive.

A background has been added to the preview window.
Rework of the silencer system
The silencer system has been reworked, now a unique hitmarker is displayed when taking damage from a weapon with a silencer. This is a temporary measure that will be replaced with a more global rework of the PvP Impact.
Optical sight edits
Corrected time of lens disappearance when aiming in sights with magnification.
Barter of catalysts
Added the ability to select an arbitrary number of catalysts when trading.
Daily login reward
The free daily login reward has been changed:

The rewards for the other days remained the same.
Elemental damage
Elemental damage now kills the player in the head. Previously, if a player took lethal damage to the head as part of elemental damage, they would be knocked down instead of dying.
Example: CR-380's electrical damage.

Added the "Memento" power up, letting the player access a minimap. It can be found in the beginning of Castle Sansa, near the entrance from the Dungeon.
Added Time Trials to each major area. Each one has an outfit reward for completing the bronze time. The Professional outfit has also been retrofitted into a small time trial in the same place- if you complete the time trial in the Castle Sansa area and don't get anything, thats why
The Lock-On camera has been reworked and is much more effective at keeping enemies on screen.
The camera will try to more aggressively follow the character when Wall Riding and not controlling it. The timing is the same as the "follow activate delay" setting.
Added an option to have the lock on button recenter the camera when no valid targets are nearby.

Sybil has a new animation for bunny hopping
You can now Air Kick again after kicking the breaker
The game should be a bit more performant now, as some internal settings that didnt have an effect on visuals were still affecting performance have been reduced/disabled. Should also increase battery life on Steamdeck and similar devices.
The song for Castle Sansa has been extended
There is now a sound when parrying projectiles
The dungeon has an added switch gate near the exit to ensure players find the path forward more easily.
A guidestone has been placed near the main dungeon exit that states the text that used to only be outside the Tower.
Strong Eyes will now briefly stagger to signify the second half of his health.
The Princess's Big Dark Orb Bomb Thing will properly explode
Modified and moved the entrance to the Underbelly key slightly to be more visible
Modified geometry on the broken pillar in front of the tower

Thank you so much to everyone, especially those who may have been waiting so patiently for the map specifically. I'm sorry there's not more major content, though I've already started production on my next game so it's been hard to find the time/energy to work on Pseudo in such a capacity, but even if it took a little long I did wanna get this update out. As well, you never know what might change, but for the time being this will be the only major update Pseudo will be getting.
I do still have a few more QoL or other minor tweaks i might polish off over the next week or two, though. And while I don't think there should be any major ones, feel free to report any bugs found on here, the steam forums, the support email, or on the discord and i'll try to fix them up ASAP.
Localization into other languages may happen down the line as well.
Before I end this, a couple points!
The OST is now on sale on steam! You've been able to buy it on bandcamp for a while now, but if you'd like to grab it on steam that is an option too now.
If you liked Pseudoregalia, then Matt, our texture artist and other major level designer, has been brought on board a little game some of you might know called The Big Catch! He does great work and I'm super excited to see him on a project with a little more breathing room. Be sure to keep an eye on that game!
As well, you should all check out his previous game, Vernal Edge! It too is a lovely metroidvania with a unique take on the genre, and a big character action type combat focus- great if you thought Pseudo's was lacking!
And finally....I just wanted to say, thank you all, so, so much for playing. The game, as of last month, broke 100k sales, and that's something I'm honestly still having trouble processing. I really didn't imagine our dinky little jam game would connect with so many people and I'm SO happy that I can now work on games full time because of it. The feedback, the streams, the fanart, it's all just been crazyl!! That said, I almost certainly won't be making Pseudoregalia 2, as there's many other games in different tones and genre's I'd like to get to, but I will at least make a spiritual successor to this game at some point, don't you worry about that!
And for Sybil...I think you'll meet her again, one day.
First of all, i need to answer some questions some of you might have. Why did it take so much time to release this update ?
We got extremly unlucky. Right after the halloween update, i fell extremely sick twice in a row, causing us to be unable to release the rest of the Tricks & Trick update. To compensate, our coders worked hard on a christmas update that..... couldn't come out.... as we run into an unfixable bug with our Unity version. That meant we had to completly upgrade from our 2017 version to 2022, wich is a HUGE GAP. And needless to say, a lot of stuff broke, so we had to fix up the game, it took us months, but here we are, finally ! On a new, clean and modern version of the engine, wich opens the door to a lot of things !
We had to change how the saves are handled due to the engine update

We have noticed that many players are unable to play the game properly because the save files are damaged due to not using the system's built-in exit function to close the game. Please use the exit button in the system settings to exit the game when quitting.
If you are already experiencing issues with playing the game normally, please follow these steps:
We apologize for the inconvenience! It seems to be an issue caused by damaged save files. Please start by closing Steam Cloud. Navigate to the directory C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\LocalLow\DigitalDream\DesktopGirlfriendNeo and delete the .es3 file. Then, launch the game again. When exiting Desktop Girlfriend NEO, please use the exit button in the settings. Once you save again, you can re-enable Steam Cloud and overwrite the cloud save with the local save.
Hello everyone! This is the Sea Fantasy development team.
We want everyone to be able to play Sea Fantasy as soon as possible, so we will be releasing a demo version of the game at the Steam Next Fes in June!
We are not sure how much you will be able to play, but we are working on a demo version that will allow you to experience the entire world and game system!
